The SpaceWhether you are coming for the Savannah Music Festival in Spring, or the SCAD Film Festival in Fall, or simply want a getaway any time of the year, you'll have a comfortable and convenient place to stay.
This is also a convenient location if you are traveling on I-95 and want an easy on-off stopover in the Savannah area!
This room features a vintage full-bed (not queen) 1000 ct. cotton sheets or silky soft bamboo sheets, comforter, and extra blankets.
This room has a shared bath with other guest rooms. Bath linens and toiletries are provided.
Maps of historic district and tour guidebooks are available for your use. Enjoy coffee or tea in the morning.
Winter evenings will have you warming up to the glow of a fire in the wood-burning fireplace of the family room.
This is a pet-free home. As much as I enjoy dogs myself, I must politely decline hosting guests with pets in order to keep my home comfortable for those with pet allergies.
Located in a new neighborhood near the intersection of I-95 and I-16 in the neighboring community of Pooler, GA the home backs up to a quiet wooded area. You're just 15 minutes straight down I-16 to Savannah's National Historic Landmark district. Stroll the squares, visit Forsyth Park, enjoy the architecture, food, and history of Savannah.
Your host is a professional chef and director of a personal enrichment cooking school in Savannah's historic district. If you enjoy great food you might consider registering for a hands-on cooking class where you can enjoy everything from learning the background influences of Low Country Cuisine to seasonal brunches, techniques for baking, and many other tasty topics! Cooking classes are available. Please inquire if you are interested. It is not necessary to stay with me in order to participate in a hands-on class. Guest AccessGuests have access to all public areas of the home. A television is located in the family room, the kitchen is available for storing refrigerated items and light meals. I do periodically conduct cooking classes in my kitchen so there may be times that the kitchen and dining room are unavailable. Laundry facilities are also available for use if you need to wash clothing. Interaction with GuestsI enjoy making recommendations and suggestions for things to do and ways to make the most of your time in Savannah. The level of interaction depends on your preference and my schedule. The NeighborhoodI'm located on a cul-de-sac in a new neighborhood located 15 miles from the historic center of Savannah. Unlike the downtown neighborhoods, there is plenty of free on-street parking. The city of Pooler has many chain restaurants for dining. If, like me, you prefer independent restaurants, those can be found in the historic district of Savannah. Getting AroundMy home is conveniently located near the intersection of I-16 and I-95. Perfect for those looking for a stop-off point when traveling north or south on I-95.
There is no public transportation from my area to downtown Savannah so a vehicle is necessary. The airport is about 5 miles from my home so it's also a convenient place to stay for early morning flights.
