The Port Douglas Artist's Cottage is spacious, contemporary, eclectic and fully self contained with all that you need for the perfect holiday.. The cottages has been designed to capture the essence of the tropics and your imagination - it is like stepping into a work of art. If the conventional and bland is not your style in holiday rentals, come and stay at the cottage. It offers a one of a kind experience in Port Douglas The cottage is owned by artist, Tina Gonsalves and chef, Matthew Wild who have been based in Port Douglas for many years, and are extremely familiar with the region and its diverse tours and attractions. The Port Douglas Artist's Cottage is a spacious, open, tropical-styled cottage featuring classical Queensland architecture, set against luscious gardens and looking outwards to towering paperbark eucalyptus. The cottage is a standalone structure tucked away in the local residential block of "Full Moon Terraces", both quiet and secluded. Situated on the second story (with garage and storage below), it takes full advantage of the breeze and light. The Port Douglas Artist's Cottage comprises of one large comfortable bedroom with private verandah, fully contained kitchen, large bathroom and laundry, living room and indoor dining, leading to french doors opening to tropical outdoor dining area. On ground level there is deck with a setting for four, to enjoy the colourful gardens. The tropical landscaping and sparkling pool, the cottages finds the perfect balance between comfort, and cool artistic contemporary style.The size of the apartment is 98 square metres, and its known as the largest one bedroom unit in Port Douglas. The large bedroom has a queensize bed, with french doors opening onto a small, light filled study. There is a large built in robe, drawers, television and DVD player. On most nights the verandah doors are left open, for the fresh seabreeze to cool off. Their are also a ceiling fan and (URL HIDDEN) cottage also is filled with timber louvres providing further airflow. Next to the bedroom is a large bathroom, with bath/shower. The walls are filled with mirrors collected over the region. The laundry has a washing machine, dryer and sink. A hall way leads to the open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The kitchen has a 4 burner hot plate, oven, quality china, cutlery, glassware, saucepans and fridge and freezer. The living room has a large modular couch (can be slept on) with TV. French doors open to verandah for tropical outdoor dining, with a setting for four people. The gardens are filled with colourful tropical plants and vines. 20 metres away from the cottage is the pool, with area for lazing about in the sun. The Artists Cottage has unlimited free internet. Guest AccessGuests have access to the entire cottage Other Things to NoteWe have put a special discount on the Artists' Cottage till Oct 2016, as there is some construction on the next door property. This building site stops and starts intermittently, but I am in contact with the foreman and owners. Despite one bad review, our guests are very happy at the Artists' Cottage. If your days are mostly out at the reef and exploring our wonderful region, obviously it won't affect you, but I do want you to be aware that noise may interfere with the Artists' Cottage usual tranquility. We have adjusted our rate to compensate for this possibility.

Every time I have snorkelled I have seen a shark and turtle. Great intimate number of max 33 people (usually only 12 -16) pure luxury, amazing food and wine throughout the day....and of course reef trip sensational. we are addicted and go about 5 times a year! If you want to do an actual dive (which is incredible) there isn't one I would guide you towards as they are all great. I would just suggest avoid massive boats with lots of people so it is not too chaotic. cape tribulation is a must rainforest and cable car ride is amazing habitat wildlife park, in port douglas (about 15 min walk from apartment) is a must and here is the link to habitat wildlife place - (URL HIDDEN) hidden)/ - breakfast with the birds is great! The SpaceTropical Palms is a delightfully designed and well equipped 3 bedroom townhouse with the flexibility of accommodating 8 people. There are three bedrooms and at an extra cost, we also provide two fold out beds. The property has been recently renovated and is set out over 2 levels in a superb location surrounded by tropical paradise. Guest AccessGuest will have access to all facilities provided in Tropical Palms. However, if you have booked your stay for only two people, you will not have access to the other two bedrooms. Amenities that are shared are the swimming pool, sun lounges, BBQ area and parking. Due to the location of our town house, you are able to park in front of the town house which is extremely convenient! Interaction with GuestsI am easily available in communicating via telephone. I have a caretaker who is appointed in directly looking after my guests. The NeighborhoodThe neighbourhood has a very relaxing and pleasant aura. If you want to get away from the rat race...Port Douglas is the perfect destination for you! You can put your feet up, soak up the sun and enjoy the tropics! Getting AroundShuttle buses are available from the airport to Port Douglas. Hiring a car is very popular in Port Douglas in getting around, hence why we provide car parking. Walking to the town only takes 15 minutes. I highly recommend walking to the town as you pass beautiful surroundings such as the Marina. Other Things to NoteSalsa is the best place to eat in Port Douglas! It is a must! Located main street Port Douglas.

This is not a holiday resort but the apartment is very comfortable and very close to everything in the village. Just a 3 minute walk to the beautiful 4 Mile Beach and a 5 minute stroll to the centre of the village. Port Douglas has great restaurants and shopping and a laid back cafe scene. The beach is fabulous and a good 4 mile walk in the mornings!! Please note, this property meets all the legal requirements for commercial rental properties in the state of Queensland, Australia. Getting AroundLocal Shuttle bus stops at the bus stop on the corner adjacent to the building. Sunpalm Transport airport shuttle will drop off/pick up at the apartment. Most tour companies will pick up either at the apartment or across the road at the Peppers Beach Club. The Marina, Macrossan Street and Fourmile Beach are all within walking distance, 5 minutes. Off street undercover parking is available on-site. Other Things to NoteAlthough small children are welcome, no cot or highchair are provided in the apartment. Getting AroundOptions for getting to the Ramada from Cairns Airport on the beautiful coast road are - car hire, Shuttle bus or our 1957 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud Limousine. There are many shuttle bus services online for around $44 per person. Sunpalm are slightly more, but have a desk at the Airport near the luggage carousel. Once you're in Port Douglas you can hire bicycles from Reception, enjoy a walk (if you're keen) or catch the shuttle bus into town that comes by every 20 minutes or so for $5, $9 return or $25 for a 3 day pass. Port Douglas is just over an hours' scenic drive north from Cairns International Airport. Hire cars are available from the airport. If you require transfers, we can arrange this with one of the local transfer companies. Prices vary from approximately $36 per person one way for minibus to $195 for standard limousine. Guests are met at the airport arrivals carousel area by a driver displaying a placard with your name and transported to the front of Pandanus Cottage.     The SpaceA fantastic getaway for couples or young families. Villa No. 9 is located alongside the pool and gains access to the beach through a secure gate at the front of the property. The living area has a lounge and formal dining area, glass sliding doors open to a covered veranda which increases the living space with a daybed and outdoor dining plus a barbeque. The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher, microwave, ceramic hob and oven. A separate laundry has washing machine and tumble dryer The master bedroom and en-suite are on the ground floor and open onto a private courtyard. There are two bedrooms upstairs that share a bathroom. The villa includes full air conditioning with fans throughout, a Plasma TV and DVD, access to the 21 metre lap pool in the complex and two secure underground parking spaces.
