The SpaceStay as our guest in this authentic Adirondack log cabin. 4 bedrooms, one bath, a great room and a sun room overlooking lake Champlain. Less than 100' to the water with stairs down to the beach. Have a campfire on the beach, eat at the picnic table with a 180 degree view of the lake. Camp faces east over the lake and the Green Mountains of Vermont. This is a getaway destination so you can slow down and relax, no phone, no internet, no cable. For those addicted to being connected we do have a strong cell signal from Burlington VT. Guest AccessYou have complete access to the whole cabin and lake shore with parking room for 3 cars. Interaction with GuestsThe owners are located next door in their own home and can be available for questions or recommendations. Other Things to NoteFull disclosure - We are located near a railroad line with occasional trains, 6-8 per day. This is an authentic camp, the Bedrooms are camp style, they have walls and doors but no ceilings, leaving them open to the great room. No laundry facilities, no dishwasher on site. The waterfront is small cobble, when our kids were little they enjoyed skipping stones in the lake. We have 17' canoe available as well as a small 10' flat bottom row boat. The row boat is unique, it has a clear acrylic panel in the bottom and lots of fun to watch the fish. We swim in the lake all summer but we do recommend water shoes since once you get in the lake we have the occasional zebra muscle (depending on the year and the lake level). The 4 bedrooms, all have dressers and closets. Being a camp, the bedrooms are unique in that they don't have a ceiling the walls are 7' high and separate each room.

An air mattress is also available if needed for more people. There is a wood stove with wood available during colder months, and a screened in porch, in addition to the back deck and the balcony from the master bedroom. Sit out on the front porch or relax on the deck off of the master bedroom to enjoy the view of Lake Champlain. Lake access just steps away and there is a bike path nearby. This is a very quiet and relaxing neighborhood, and is less than 15 minutes from Burlington. For kayaking or boating, there are two access areas. There is a dock .1 mile away to the right of the house and the other way, there is a beach that is about .1 mile. We can give you directions to other beaches and boat launches if you need that information. The causeway, a beautiful place to walk or bike across the lake, is just a couple of minutes away on foot or by bike, and the lake is perfect for kayaking. Restaurants, grocery stores and all other essentials are only minutes away by car. All of the furniture is new and very comfortable. There is a flat screen TV in both the living room and the master bedroom. Netflix is included as well. We have a keyless touchscreen deadbolt on the front door, so you won't have to worry about carrying a key. The code to get in is reset after each guest, and I will give your keypad number before you arrive. During the summer season, we have a kayak, a canoe and bikes for your use. We also have a bbq grill, a fire pit, and outdoor seating to enjoy the outdoors. Please note that we don't have a landline phone, as we find that people haven't used it in the house. However, if you'd like to have one during your stay, we can hook it up...Please just let me know in advance! Having said that, AT&T and Verizon cell phone service works there - I'm not sure about the other providers. We only have specified check-in and out times, for days when one party is leaving and another party is arriving the next day. If you would like an early check-in and/or a late check-out, please ask and we might be able to accommodate it! If we aren't able to accommodate a late check out, please note that those who haven't checked out by 11am will be charged for an extra night. Pets are negotiable! Guest AccessAll areas of the property, including beach access down the road and a dock, in which to put in kayaks or canoes. Interaction with GuestsWe will have as much or as little interaction as you would like. We are very hands on and will be available if there are any issues. The NeighborhoodThis is on a dead end road, with a mix of seasonal and year round houses/cabins. There is lake access plus access to a dock. Getting AroundPublic transportation isn't nearby, but stay here and enjoy the scenery! If you have a vehicle, downtown Mallett's Bay is close by and is beautiful...and Burlington is less than 20 minutes away. For those of you who are active, there is a bike path that goes right into Burlington. We are told that at a very leisurely pace, it takes about 40 minutes to get by bike to Burlington. For this of you go-getters, you can probably get there in half that time! If you want to enjoy the many breweries in Burlington, feel free to use Uber if you don't want to worry about driving. Other Things to NoteNo issues at all...just pure relaxation!

There are ample fans but no A/C; an over/under washer/dryer but no dishwasher, city water but private septic (no "flushable" wipes or hygiene products, please), DVD (not blue ray) but no cable, no Wi-Fi but a pile of great board and card games Guest AccessThe attic, outside closet and shed are for use by the owners. The blue kayak is available for use by guests at their own risk. The fire "pit" can be used only after reviewing safe operation with Andy. Interaction with GuestsAndy is always available for questions or problems. (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) (home and messages) and (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) (cell). The NeighborhoodThe immediate neighbors are all seasonal residents, but more and more of Mills Point is becoming permanent housing. The neighborhood association has rules (in the bookcase) to try to keep the amicable, close-knit nature of this special place, well, special. Do not speed in the neighborhood as there are many pedestrians and children. Other Things to NoteThe camp was purchased to give the owners access to the lake so they can boat to Sunset Island. They will occasionally pass through the property on such excursions but will not enter the cottage.

A few years ago, we undertook a total renovation of this lakeside home to do better justice to its gorgeous lakeside setting. First we gutted the interior and stripped the house right down to the studs. Then we replaced and rebuilt everything using the newest state-of-the-art materials and systems available. No expense was spared in its design and construction to make this the most modern and comfortable house in the North Country. You can relax in one of the two living rooms and prepare your meals in one of the two kitchens, either on the main level or on the lake level. There are even two sets of washer/dryers, one for each floor. The house is air conditioned for your comfort in the summer. The result? This may be most luxurious and most meticulously furnished vacation home on Lake Champlain. This year, we have added even more amenities, including a dining area for eight on the back lawn facing the lake, an expanded kitchen area, and new Smart TV's in the living room and bedrooms. In short, your stay at 'Lost Lodge' will be a memorable experience. But don't take our word for it. Just click on 'View comments from previous guests' immediately below. THE SETTING... 'Lost Lodge' sits right on Lake Champlain with breathtaking views of the Vermont mountains. The house itself is set 300 feet back from a quiet cul-de-sac. The property slopes down to the beach, which is remarkably like a pool: the lake bottom here consists of large flat plates of stone that make it easy to just walk right into the lake in summer. In the winter, when the lake is frozen, you can ski right out for the best cross country skiing imaginable. You can build a bonfire right on the beach and watch the stars at night. "Lost Lodge" has a mooring just seventy-five feet from the shore, and the town boat ramp is just a half-mile north of the house. The City of Plattsburgh is 5 miles up the road and you can drive to downtown Montreal in exactly 1 hour. Whiteface Mountain and Lake Placid are also an hour away. Whether you're here spring, summer, fall or winter, you will be close to everything you might want to do; from swimming to skiing, from kayaking to snowmobiling. THE TWO LIVING ROOMS... The vaulted living area on the main level is an open plan, with plenty of room for entertaining. You'll marvel at the 14 foot vaulted ceiling and french doors overlooking the lake. You'll have a 60 inch Samsung LED Smart TV with DirecTV and video streaming for those nights when you just want to relax. There is a thermostatically controlled gas fireplace in the living room; no need to haul firewood in the winter. The second living area on the lake level also has its own gas fireplace, a 42 inch flat screen TV with hi-def cable service and a fully restored Kroeger quarter grand piano. THE TWO KITCHENS... The main level kitchen is the envy of any gourmet chef: The refrigerator/freezer, convection oven, dishwasher and range-top are all stainless steel Kitchen Aid Architect Series. The 33-bottle wine cooler is GE Profile. The stackable Washer/Dryer in the hall is top-of-the-line Frigidaire. The second kitchen on the lake level is also fully equipped, with a full complement of appliances including separate Washer/Dryer, and a dining table that will seat up to six. THE FOUR MASTER BEDROOMS... Each of the four bedrooms is a master suite, with its own in-suite private bathroom; no one will have to dress to get to their own bathroom. The first master bedroom has a newly-installed king-sized Tempurpedic bed and 50" Smart TV. The second master bedroom faces the lake, with a queen-sized Tempurpedic bed and 38" Smart TV. The third master bedroom also faces the lake, with a queen-sized Tempurpedic bed and 38" Smart TV. The fourth master bedroom has two twin beds and a 32" flat screen TV with built-in DVD player.

Come find out why we love our camp, the lake, and the North Country so much. Whether it's quiet evenings in a rocking chair on the screened in porch watching the moon rise over the lake, or for the fun and adventures the lake and the Adirondack North Country have to offer, this camp has and does it all. The fall colors are spectacular in the North Country and seeing them by boat from the lake is something special. Built in 1939 by my Grandfather, modernized in the 80's, now it's available for you to enjoy. I live on the property. I have a separate apartment, so you can see as little or as much of me as you like. I'm there to be your tour guide, boat captain, watersport instructor for wakeboarding, waterskiing, stand up paddleboarding, and tubing, leading day hikes and beautiful road bike rides, or just in the background as your invisible caretaker making sure everything goes smoothly. I grew up spending summers at the camp and it's by far one of the most beautiful and fun places in the world. Wake up in the queen bed to the sound of waves lapping at the shoreline in the master bedroom. Then coffee at the kitchen table overlooking the lake. The second bedroom has twin beds and is private and quiet. The kids room is just that, with bunk beds, 2 single beds and their own tv, board games and fun, but trust me, they won't be doing anything other than sleeping in there after all there is to do during the day at the camp. Rain or shine there is always something to do. Mornings, get up early and cut up the glassy water before anyone else. Then a bike ride over rolling hills along the lake, or a hike up Pocomoonshine, paddle out to Schuyler island for a secluded picnic, swimming and tubing in the afternoon. For the less adventurous, shopping in Lake Placid, take the ferry over to Burlington for the day, or head up to Montreal, Canada's largest city. Don't forget your passport! Rainy days are nice too. Explore Ausable Chasm and raft down the Ausable river, Parc Safari and waterpark is just over the border an hour away. At the end of the day cool down on the screened in porch, or warm up in front of the large fireplace in the living room. Roast marshmellows over a bonfire on the beach, then lay back and count shooting stars. Life at the camp is great. Come and find out for yourself.
