The SpaceEverything you need for short- or long-term vacationing is here from a fully-equipped kitchen to high-vaulted ceilings in the living room, fireplace, three bedrooms, loft and deck. Two of the bedrooms have a water view. Three bedrooms, two of which have their own private bathroom. A third larger bathroom is located right outside one of the bedrooms so it is accessible to guests and anyone sleeping in the loft. From the deck you will see sailboats, deer, otters playing on the lawn and water, Blue Herons fishing off the beach, and abundant bird life. A very relaxing rejuvenating location. Guest AccessIn addition to the indoor heated lap pool and Jacuzzi and Olympic sized outdoor pool, the Beach Club facilities include a racquetball ball court, workout/weight room, media room, tennis courts and children's play area. All available to our guests for $10/guest/stay to cover cost of resort guest fee. Additionally we have a PGA golf course within a mile, and an active marina with small fishing boats, kayaks and bikes available for rent. There are miles of hiking and biking trails in and around the Resort. Interaction with GuestsOur family has enjoyed this wonderful property as our get-away for years. We share it now as a rental. If anything is needed we can be reached by either phone or email. We have a local handyman and housekeeper that will help assure your needs are dealt with quickly and professionally. The NeighborhoodOur townhouse is in the Port Ludlow Resort community. Surrounded by the waters of Puget Sound and the Strait of Juan de Fuca, we are located at the edge of the Olympic Peninsula and the rain forests. Pacific Coast wilderness trails and the snow-capped Olympic Mountains are close by. Convenient form Seat-Tac airport. Just catch the ferry from downtown Seattle's waterfront and enjoy a 35 minute scenic ride to Bainbridge Island. The Resort is approximately 45 minutes away by car. Getting AroundLocal Jefferson County bus service to much of the Peninsula. Bus stop 200 yds. from the townhouse. However, most people will find having a personal auto to be the best way to get around. Other Things to NoteOne of our favorite restaurants, The Ajax Cafe, is about 15 minutes away. Port Hadlock is just past the Ajax and has a variety of places to eat (try Scampi and Halibuts) and a large QFC. Also, The Fireside Restaurant at the Resort at Port Ludlow is very good and also has a nice bar and a large porch overlooking the water. Port Townsend is an historical town about 20 minutes away with markets, antiques, restaurants, a wooden boat museum and a variety of interesting shops.

The SpaceEverything you need for short- or long-term vacationing is here from a fully-equipped kitchen with granite counters, high end appliances, to high-vaulted ceilings in the living room and dining room, Gas fireplace, four bedrooms Can sleep up to 11 . There is a huge deck overlooking Incredible views 200 degrees. Two of the bedrooms, and the loft, have fabulous water and mountain views. From the deck and our solarium you will see sailboats, cruise ships, Mt Baker, the Cascade Range, cargo carriers. and much more. Always changing, always beautiful. Even wildlife like deer, Raccoons, deer, birds, and the local fox (love drinking from the pond) and an occasional otter playing in the waters below. Eagles in the tree in front of the deck, or "fly" fishing over the beach right in front of you. We love our birds and have plantings to encourage them to hang out. We supply a high powered spotting scope and binoculars for your viewing enjoyment. All in all very relaxing rejuvenating location. Many of our guest come back year after year. All rave about the views and the experience. If you are awakened easily by the light you may wish to bring a sleep mask. We love waking up to the gorgeous sunrises popping over the Cascades--however, not everyone does. There are miles of hiking and biking trails in and around the Resort. We have championship PGA golf course in the Resort, within a mile, and 3 other PGA courses within 1/2 hr. drive. We provide one set of clubs for our guests to use, as well as two tennis rackets and paddle ball rackets (bring your own balls, please). We also have a very active marina and dock facility in the Resort where there are small fishing boats, sail boats, paddle boards, kayaks and bikes available for rent. The Inn at the resort has a wonderful dining room and casual eating area with a fireplace, bar and a large outdoor porch overlooking the water and marina. Guest AccessIMPORTANT INFORMATION - PLEASE TAKE WITH YOU Be sure to read the book on the kitchen counter at the house which contains important information and instructions! NO SMOKING PLEASE Getting in: Facing the front door the lockbox is to your right (on the garage wall next to the drain pipe) •Open the box by sliding the black tab down to access the numbers •Enter the code 1010 •Pull the left black tab down and while keeping the tab down •Pull the black tab on the front of the lockbox toward you •The front plate will open and the key will be inside After you get in, it’s a good idea to unlock the door from the inside so you don’t lock yourself out unloading your car! Please lock up when you leave for the day. Trash: Trash is picked up Mondays. The garbage can is outside the man door to the garage. Be sure trash is on the opposite side of the street by 7:00 a.m. Monday. Be sure the handles are locked on the garbage can lid so the animals can’t get into it. You may put it out the night before. Recycle: There is a large green recycle container outside the man door for your use. Port Ludlow does not pick up recycle. There are recycle containers at Port Ludlow Village about a mile away. Do not put out the recycle container. In order to provide the most enjoyable stay possible we would greatly appreciate any feedback from you. However, we do appreciate a phone conversation so we can answer all of your questions and give updates on current activities in the area, such as the annual music festivals, farmers markets, car shows etc. We love the area and our home there, we think you will too. The NeighborhoodOur waterfront homes is in the Port Ludlow Resort community. We are purched on a bank about 100' above Puget Sound and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Port Ludlow is located at the edge of the Olympic Peninsula and the rain forests. Pacific Coast wilderness trails and the snow-capped Olympic Mountains are close by. Convenient from Sea-Tac airport. On our guests list of favorite things to do, You may choose to take a 2 hr ferry to Victoria, BC and enjoy the day or longer. The ferry is approximately an hour and a half. West of the house. There are many good restaurants nearby and historic Port Townsend is a popular spot for visitors. Poulsbo, Port Gamble and the Bremerton shipyards (we occasionally spot the nuclear sub from Bremerton heading out to sea and passing right by our house) are other popular areas. Try the Olympic game farm The Hoe Rain Forest, and/or the Ocean Beaches of the rugid North West shores of the Olympic National Park. All are day trips from our home. Another is Scamp & Halibuts Seafood ((PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) in Port Hadlock. It is next to a gas station at the 4-way stop and across from the QFC. The Fireside Restaurant at the Resort at Port Ludlow (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). The Fireside Restaurant Cuisine: Pacific Northwest Hours: Breakfast - 8:00am – 11:00am; Weekend Brunch - 8:00am - 3:00pm; Lunch - 11:00am – 4:00pm (Except Saturday and Sunday); Dinner - 5:00pm – 8:00pm (Sunday – Thursday) and 5:00pm – 9:00pm (Friday – Saturday) They have a great bar and large outdoor porch for cocktails and lunch. Snug Harbor Café (URL HIDDEN) they have fabulous hamburgers and that’s the only thing we go for. Close by the Village. Cucina Italian Restaurant (URL HIDDEN) Good food and great salads very close by at the Village Fiesta Jalisco Mexican Restaurant (URL HIDDEN) We have eaten there numerous times and it is always good Blue Moose Café in Port Townsend (URL HIDDEN) We have only eaten here once but it was amazing. Very funky but great food. You must try it. Port Townsend is an historical town about 20 minutes away with markets, antiques, restaurants, a wooden boat museum and a variety of interesting shops. The SpaceThis unique cabin offers overnight travelers an opportunity to experience a slower pace in a rural environment close to a wide variety of activities. Guests can explore nature, enjoy organic foods and a vibrant arts community nearby. The cabin is across the road from where writer Betty McDonald lived circa 1930 and was the inspiration for her best seller, "The Egg and I". This humorous memoir was later adapted for the Ma and Pa Kettle movies. This is a studio space with comfortable queen bed and memory foam twin bed in the small sleeping loft. The ladder to the loft is straight up and not an easy climb for everyone! The loft is not appropriate for children under 12 and older or disabled adults. Stove, refrigerator, dishes, cutlery, coffee maker, blender, toaster and basic cooking utensils. Wonderful claw foot tub, no shower, organic shampoo and body wash is provided. Guest AccessGuests have access to the cabin, parking and immediate surroundings. Interaction with GuestsI'll meet you upon arrival but your space is respected for the rest of your stay. The NeighborhoodRural location between the farming valleys of Chimacum. Some people enjoy riding bikes to the farmer's market on Sundays or stopping at the farm stand during the week. There are tasting rooms at local ciderys within a few miles of the cabin. The immediate surroundings are heavily wooded and there are three rustic cabins set among the trees on this park like acreage. Getting AroundNo public transportation. Located just south of Chimacum, Wa. Restaurants, shopping and entertainment in nearby Port Hadlock and Port Townsend. Easy drive to Sequim, Port Angeles and Olympic national park. The villa is just a half-hour ferry ride from downtown Seattle or Edmonds and a scenic drive from Bainbridge island or Kingston to port Ludlow, 90 minutes from Sea-Tac international airport, or arrive by float plane from Seattle's Lake Union. About the villa: All rooms are soundproof for added privacy and relaxation, wifi in all rooms. Living room -- large and comfortable seating areas, 40' HDTV, cable with 90+ channels, DVD player, a queen size sofabed for additional guests. Dining room -- full size dining table for 6-8. Kitchen -- fully stocked glasses & dishes, utensils, pots & pans, dishwater, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, blender, and a Forman grill. 2 bedrooms -- queen size beds with full bath in each bedroom.       The incredible views from this lovely custom built, waterfront home will take your breath away. The house offers a secluded setting with a green belt on one side and a house set back from view on the other. No need for window coverings to block the view--it is totally private. Sit in the solarium and watch the eagles fly right overhead or fish in the water below you. Enjoy unobstructed views of Puget Sound, the Cascade mountains and Mt. Baker from virtually every room in the house. Watch the ever changing activity of cruise ships, sailboats, tankers or a nuclear submarine, from the large deck or our cozy solarium. The professionally landscaped yard is designed for privacy and easy maintenance and features a tranquil pond and natural woodland setting. Watch the deer and raccoons drink from the pond and wander through the yard any given day. The fully equipped kitchen has a gas range, double ovens and Subzero refrigerator plus a smaller refrigerator in the laundry room and a view that makes cooking a real pleasure. Or you can pull up a bar stool to the eating counter and grab a quick snack. Fine dining is minutes away if you aren't in the mood for cooking. The living room has a stone wall with a gas fireplace. Snuggle up on the comfy sofas (one converts to queen size bed) in front of the fireplace and enjoy great conversation, a good book or a glass of wine. Or, simply admire the beauty of the view. The master bedroom has a large walk-in closet, a king sized bed and sliding glass doors that open to the deck. Lie in bed and watch the sun rise or the cruise ships heading back to port. For maximum guest count there is a queen sized sofa bed in the livingroom. The house is beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated to make your stay feel extra special and comfortable. The soft breezes from the water below make outdoor dining even on a hot day a real treat. Grill on our gas grill and dine at the table for six. Four fold-up lounging deck chairs are also provided. Try to spot the seals on the rocks below with the telescope provided or just marvel at the incredible view. The upper level of the home has a master bedroom with deck access, a king-size bed, and an ensuite marble bathroom with a jetted tub and walk-in shower. There are two other bedrooms on this level, each with a queen-size bed and an adjoining bathroom with a shower. An open, fully equipped kitchen with Corian countertops, a dining room, two steps to a sunken living room, and a full-length deck complete this level. The home’s lower level has two bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed. There is one bathroom with a shower. The kitchen is also fully equipped and the large living room has ground-level beach access. From nearly every room in the home you can take in the incredible views of the water, mountains, and watch the wildlife. The beach is open for community use, as is the small boat launch next door. You can take leisurely walks through the neighborhood or on the beach. As you explore the area, be sure to stop by the small towns of Port Ludlow, Port Gamble, Kingston, and Chimacum. Also, the beautiful, Victorian tourist destination of Port Townsend is only a 35 minute drive away (22.2 miles), offering many entertainment, dining, and sight-seeing opportunities.

      Get away from the crazy hustle and bustle of life in our relaxing house by the beach! 3bdr 2bath open airy house will give you and your family plenty of room to stretch out and relax!!! Sleeps 10 comfortably in beds, 2 more on aero bed, 1 on air bed and 1 on camping cot. This is a great place to rent while going logging in the Olympic mountains for your Christmas tree! We have made this a family tradition every year to get our tree. Go to the Forest Service office in Quilcene, give them $5, they give you a map of where to find the trees, and if you are lucky maybe you will get some snow while finding that perfect 20 ft tree! Master bedroom has King size bed with ensuite bathroom, and large TV in room. Adjoining loft study sleeps two more on queen size aero bed. Main floor has fireplace with enough seating to curl up comfortably with 10-12 of your favorite people and watch football or that movie marathon you never get around to! Main floor has two bedrooms: Lighthouse room has two double beds that sleeps 4 comfortably with a dresser to store your stuff, and closet space. Bunk room has one double bed that sleeps 2 comfortably, connected with stairs to a bunk bed for the kiddies with their own reading lights. Also has dresser and closet. Sleeps 4 comfortably. First floor holds a large kitchen with gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, lots of counter space, and an island for buffet style serving for large groups.       The SpaceThe house is two stories, with a galley kitchen, hardwood floors, fireplace, and open concept living and dining room on the main floor. The kitchen has been recently updated with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances including dishwasher, gas stove and oven, and microwave. There are 180° views of Hood Canal from the entire main level via a wall of windows. The living area opens onto a large deck overlooking the water. Seasonally, you will find outdoor dining table and chairs as well as an outdoor sofa and lounge chairs and patio heater. (Deck furniture is garaged in the winter). On the main level is a 3/4 bathroom with shower. Upstairs there are three bedrooms; king bed in the master, queen bed in the guestroom, and a full bed plus two twin beds with trundles in the large third bedroom. Two bedrooms have water views. The upstairs bath has a new vanity, and jetted tub/shower. There is a new full-size washer and dryer in the closet. Outside is a large fenced yard, outdoor fire pit, and stairs to beach. There are 60 steps in a straight run to the bottom landing. Guests may use the stairs but assume all risk in doing so and are urged to proceed carefully and use handrails. There is a gate at the top of the stairs, but it is not a locking gate. At low tide the beach offers miles of walking, beach combing, tidepooling, and wildlife viewing. Seabirds and marine mammals are abundant as are crabs and clams. There is a bonus room on the lower level of the house. This room has a full-size wall bed. Access to this room is via a separate door outside. There is no bathroom attached to this room. There is a pack and play and baby gate available at the house. Guest AccessGuests have access to the entire home and private beach (via stairs). Ample off street parking. We are available by email, phone, or text message for guests during your stay The NeighborhoodOur home is at the end of a quiet dead end street. The most common noises are the calls of the Osprey which nest in a tall tree adjacent to our property. We have friendly neighbors and a safe street with minimal traffic. The beach is private and only accessible to the residents who live above it. Come here to relax and recharge. We commonly see deer, otters, raccoons, bald eagles, osprey, great blue herons, seals, dolphins, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, and many songbirds. We have also seen orcas on occasion. Port Ludlow has a series of maintained hiking and walking trails and Olympic National Park is close by for further exploration. The Fireside Restaurant in Port Ludlow has delicious food and a beautiful setting. Kayaks and stand up paddle boards can be rented at the Port Ludlow marina. The historic town of Port Gamble is less than 20 minutes away with 2 restaurants, shops, playground, and ice cream. Heading north on the Olympic peninsula you can visit the Finn River Cidery, which has live music on summer weekends. Stop at the Chimacum Corner Farmstand to pick up some local seasonal produce and other groceries. The Farms Reach Cafe in Chimacum has delicious local food. Historic Port Townsend is about 40 minutes north with many shopping and dining options. The Saturday Farmers Market is delicious. Children and adults alike enjoy visiting the touch pools at the Marine Science Center at Fort Worden State Park as well as the long stretch of sandy beach. Getting AroundYou will need a car to get around. Nearest grocery stores are in Poulsbo or Port Hadlock. Olympic Penninsula hiking, and nearby historic Port Gamble, and Port Townsend are all within 30 minutes. Other Things to NoteA family of 5 with three young children lives in this house. We keep it clean and organized, but guests will find some of our personal items such as clothes and toys stay in the house when we are not there. There is no television or phone at the house.
