So we play it by ear and there is plenty of room for privacy both inside and out. The NeighborhoodFrom our back door, you can take in the breathtaking environment of Strangford Lough. A short walk takes you onto Castlehill where you'll find the old church yard of Ardkeen parish and the remains of the castle itself as you survey Strangford Lough from this amazing view point. Four miles away, Portaferry is a beautiful town fronting onto Strangford Lough. It has a conservation area, with many traditional buildings, a range of shops, Exploris (The N. Ireland Aquarium), a hotel, restaurants, traditional pubs and some lovely lough-side walks. Click on the Guidebook for more information. Getting AroundWe live on the main bus route however buses tend to be infrequent so access to your own vehicle is an advantage. Other Things to NoteIf you like animals, you'll enjoy meeting our dogs, Dusky and Meadow, and our hens (too many names to mention here!). They all live outside in their respective sheds.
