      Built in the 1970's this was the tallest standing building for over 10 years. The same architects built the Sears Towers & Freedom Towers. This elegant tree covered area, surrounded by quant parks, captures the urban Pacific Northwest perfectly. The Space This 600 square foot suite has a fully stocked kitchen, with complimentary local coffee and wine. The modern deco includes a comfortable oversized futon and all the furnishing you would need during your trip. The covered balcony and secured entrance make this the perfect alternative to the Hilton with newly renovated interior, stainless steel appliances and granite. Guests stay by themselves in this one bedroom with a queen bed, and fully equipped bathroom. The restaurants and food carts in the area are perfect for any palate. Guest Access Enjoy the pool, hot tub, and new sauna. There is also a nice fire pit, courtyard and BBQ for cooking or entertaining. Also included is free on-site laundry. Interaction with Guests I am easily accessible and happy to accommodate. The Neighborhood The neighborhood has 4 pedestrian parks with beautiful fountains and artwork. Urban planning aficionados travel from around the world to see this area. The Keller Auditorium and Waterfront park are within two blocks, and all of downtown is accessible with a 7 min rail ride or 10 minute walk about 7 blocks. Getting around The MAX and Streetcar, Portland's Light Rail, are easily accessible from the front door. Take a cab anywhere in portland for less than $10. This is perfect alternative to the Marriott or Hilton located two blocks away.

Guest AccessThe private “guest room” is situated up the banister stairwell on the second floor and features a new Queen size mattress with a Tempurpedic foam cover, freshly cleaned and high quality linens. Open the hand-crafted oak armoire to reveal a wide-screen TV with AppleTV or kick back with a book on the chaise. The draperies are light and noise blocking. The private bathroom is just down the hall from the guest room The accommodation is outfitted with freshly cleaned towels and a variety of amenities, including a clothes steamer and shoe shiner. A kitchenette with a mini-fridge, coffee maker, water cooler, small table and chairs is located down the hall. There is also a desk for guests' use.       The SpaceAn eclectic collection of treasures from around the world await to be enjoyed in this one of a kind Loft located in Portland's Pearl district. I travel the world for a living as a performer with Cirque du Soleil and am an avid collector of rare and curious artifacts. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! There are many creature comforts to be found here including wireless high speed internet, 2 folding bicycles complete with lights and helmets for cruising the city, semi-automatic Rancilio Espresso machine and coffee grinder, iPad connected to a wireless printer for printing boarding passes etc., 2 Turkish bathrobes (one medium one large), cable TV, King size bed with top of the line Englander mattress and 210 thread count 100% pure long-staple Egyptian cotton sheets from Restoration Hardware, 47" LG LCD HDTV, Blu-ray player, Bose surround sound system with iPod docking station, Apple 27" LED flat panel cinema display for your laptop (sorry but you must have the necessary cables if using an older mac or non mac computer..), stainless steel appliances with gas for cooking, plus the "honor bar"! This is a well-stocked liquor cabinet left unlocked and available to be enjoyed by responsible adults. Please feel free to have a nip or two or three! I only ask that before you checkout please either restock the bar with something comparable in quality and quantity to what you’ve enjoyed or give "Olaf" the drinking gnome a tip : ) Portland's Pearl District is a true urban paradise and has a walkability score of 99! Walk 2 blocks to the streetcar, which will get you up to the 23rd Ave area, downtown, or anywhere in the Pearl District in moments for $1. Some of the best restaurants in the city are around the corner: Andina, World Foods, a great pub called Riley's, so many others. Getting AroundPortland's light rail system (the streetcars) run north-south and east-west. Located 2 blocks from the apartment, you can get anywhere in the city as well as across the Willamette River very easily. Or just walk: 23rd Ave is an easy 20-minute walk through beautiful Portland neighborhoods; downtown is less then 5 minutes' walk; and you're in the Pearl District so anywhere you go in the Pearl is just around the next corner. French doors open to a shared patio space (very private, but shared with one other condo unit). Space includes air conditioning, full size washer and dryer, full size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, wifi, flat-screen TV with cable. The perfect home away from home. IMPORTANT UPDATE: 01/10/16 We have learned the construction of the neighboring building can be loud Monday - Friday 8AM-5PM. We have lowered our prices (the Condo normally rents for $2500 a month) If this work schedule fits your schedule, we think this is a screaming good deal. However, if you are unable to pin down an arrival time (or arriving late/early) we have a great hide a key setup. The NeighborhoodWalk out of the building and you are on the historic North Park Blocks and in the highly desirable Pearl District Neighborhood. 'The Pearl' is home to some of the city’s best known restaurants, world class art galleries, and vibrant shops and boutiques. Getting AroundThe City of Portland has been voted as one of the most walkable cities in America. Feel free to leave your car at home and explore the neighborhood on foot. The Condo is walking distance to Wholefoods, Safeway, pharmacies, the post office, healthcare and all the basic life amenities & needs. If a car is needed, there are several car share options available: Car2Go, Zipcar, and Getaround. Convenient to public transportation to other neighborhoods. Airport Directions: from the Airport the condo is about a 30 minute cab ride or drive, or about 45 minutes on public transport. There is a great trip planner site with Trimet (Portland's public transportation) to see what buses and MAX lines will be running from the airport, or to navigate to different neighborhoods or locations in the city. Portland has just introduced BIKETOWN! BIKETOWN is a easy way to use bikes for a day or just a couple hours with a pick up station located close by simply go to the bright orange station,(There's one just a couple blocks away NW 8th & Everett) use a credit or debit card to secure your bike and go. You can drop it off at the same place you picked it up or use the built in GPS to locate a drop off close to your final destination. 2.50$ for a 30 minute ride which will get you downtown and beyond or 12$ for an entire day of adventures. Parking: There is no parking onsite. If you do drive, paid street parking is available in the neighborhood from 8AM-7PM. (After and before these times street parking is free). Meters take credit cards and coins. There are also paid lots where you can park your car. (Ranging from $10 - $24 a day) Other Things to NotePlease note: the whole building is non-smoking including the hallways, entryways, and patio.

      The Space1,600 square foot loft all to yourself! The loft is not only clean and organized but it houses original artwork (painting, furniture and sculpture) created by local artists and has floor to ceiling windows that make even a gray day in Portland enjoyable. The bedroom is on the second level removed from the general living area and includes a modern king bed with 450 thread-count linens. There are 2 full bathrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs). A very well appointed kitchen that all cooks would love (when you are not eating out at all the fabulous Portland restaurants), fully stocked with Le Creuset and All Clad cookery, Riedel glassware, Kitchen Aid mixer, Vitamix blender and various modern serving platters. All the basics are included (flat screen TV, cable, air conditioning, washer/dryer, dishwasher, wireless). A 400 square foot deck is all yours that you don’t have to share. The mature street trees create privacy and treehouse feel. The deck is equipped with outdoor furniture, a table that serves 8 and mature plantings in modern steel planters. A full size treadmill has your name all over it and comes with a fabulous view of the Steel Bridge. If you like to ride, you can take the vintage Schwinn matching bikes for a spin (basket, helmets and lock included). The Building is secure. The architecture of the building has an indoor/outdoor feel. The park is literally outside the front door. Fabulous wine shop across the street, wine bars, restaurants, grocery and pharmacy services (we will provide you with a detailed listing of what to visit upon arrival).
