The SpaceSituated on a private estate in Woodside halfway between San Francisco and San Jose, Family Farm Guest Cottage is perfect for business travelers, a mid-week or weekend getaway or a visit to Stanford. Adjacent to Stanford's Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve, yet only 3 miles to Interstate 280, VC Hill and the historic Town of Woodside and only a couple of miles more to Stanford Univ, Stanford Shopping Center, Palo Alto, Redwood City and Menlo Park. There are nice walking trails, great hiking for all levels, parks and amazing natural wildlife and beauty. The 1 bedroom guest cottage is perfect accommodation for one or two. Guest AccessOur gates will be open so come on in! Please park at the top parking area just before the main house. We have path lighting as well as motion-sensing lighting to assist guests at night. Guests will have the entire guest cottage which includes a bedroom with queen bed, living room, bathroom with shower/tub, kitchen and private deck with table and chairs. There is also a parking space available. Interaction with GuestsWe live in the main house and will be around but will not disturb our guests. We will greet you upon arrival and departure. If you need anything, we are here to help with recommendations for a fantastic experience like local haunts, places to see and things to do in the Bay Area. The NeighborhoodI love the beauty, serenity, privacy, wildlife, nature and gardens of our home. Getting AroundPublic transportation is a bit difficult in our area. Uber and taxi services are available and can get you to bus services or CalTrain. Other Things to NotePlease let us know if you have any special requests. We will do our best to accommodate your needs. The kitchen has all needed utensils like pots, pans, plates, glasses silverware, single cup espresso maker, spices and other basic cooking needs, coffee, teas, cream, sugar, cooking oil. The bedroom features Tommy Bahama linens. Towels, bathrobes, shampoo, body wash and some toiletries are also provided as well as a blow dryer, iron and ironing board and drying line for washing out a few essentials. We also have books and a backgammon set! Although the cottage does not have a TV, the views, nature and wildlife are the real thing!!!

We're easily located near the 280 freeway, and 40 minutes to San Francisco to the North; and 40 minutes to Levi's Stadium to the South. Guest AccessThe entire house is available for private access. The SpaceTravelers with kids - or groups of travelers - will appreciate that the 2nd story has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom which is perfect for accommodating an entire family. The master suite is downstairs near the front entrance to the house with the master bath. There's a queen futon in the open living space near our fireplace on the ground level. The 2nd half bathroom is on the ground level near the back entrance with a long couch in the room. Our kitchen appliances are modern and perfect for cooking a meal, or you can ask us about local restaurant recommendations. There's plenty of parking in the front of the house. Guest AccessGuests have access to the entire property Interaction with GuestsWe're reachable via text, phone, and email but will be vacationing/skiing in the mountains a few hours away. The NeighborhoodWe love its proximity to local attractions, restaurants, San Francisco, Stanford (and the Stanford mall), the ocean, the Silicon Valley, and the large network of biking/hiking trails in Portola Valley. Getting AroundYou'll need to rent a car or take Uber/taxi from the airport. Depending on your arrival date and the length of your stay, we may have a loaner car for your stay

This space is quiet place to retreat—hard to believe it’s just minutes away from Silicon Valley as you sip coffee in the morning light, watch small birds sipping and splashing in the fountain and listen to the rustle of bamboo in the wind. In the afternoon or evening you might dine outside in the redwood trees or cozy up with a book beside outdoor heat lamps and an bio-ethanol fireplace.
