The SpaceThe room looks out to the front of the property from both windows and has a direct view of the bus stop. The room is secure with a key lock door and furnished with everything that you would need to make your stay comfortable. It is 95sq feet in size and has a beautiful solid oak flooring with matching skirting and 2 windows making it a bright room. It is centrally heated with a Chrome rail designer radiator which has its own thermostat control. The room is fitted with 6 dimmable LED spotlights. The wardrobe is a large double fitted one with 2 full length mirrors on the doors and full height shelving space to one side. Inside of the wardrobe you will find a large chest of drawers, clothes hangers with ample hanging space for full and mid length clothing, a mini fridge with small freezing compartment, a safe of suitable size to store a laptop and any valuables, an ironing board, a large bamboo laundry basket and spare bedding and pillows etc. To the side of the wardrobe is a further small 3 drawer chest of drawers containing a hairdryer. The dressing table is matching the wardrobe and has a set of 3 drawers on each side and also a small central drawer in which we keep information leaflets and instructions for using the TV etc. On top of the dressing table is a lamp, a radio alarm clock, a glass and a mug for your own use and a 26' HD LED TV with USB connectivity, freeview tv and a built in dvd player. At the table is a swivel office style chair. The double divan bed has a sprung mattress and 2 large storage drawers under. There is a wastepaper bin next to the bed. Unlimited high speed wireless internet is also in the room. Guest AccessA house key is provided. We have a garden at the rear of the house which guests may use when the weather is nice. The house front door will need to be locked. CATERING/MEALS A light breakfast of tea & coffee and either a bowl of cereal or a round of toast is provided self service for all guests free of charge and is available until midday. Please clean up after yourself. Only the use of the Microwave, kettle and toaster in the kitchen is free of charge. There is a fee of £17.50 per week for use of the oven,hob/cooker and utensils for single guests to cook/prepare their own food. We only accept weekly bookings for this service unless guests are staying for less than 7 days, in which case the fee is calculated at £2.50 per day up to 6 days. For double/twin room bookings the weekly fee is £25 or £3.50 per day for short stays of less than 1 week. Use of the kitchen is unavailable to guests while we are using it. This is normally between the times of 7-8.20pm, but may vary slightly from time to time depending on when Sue returns home from working in London. Anything used by guests for cooking/preparing food must be washed and left to dry on the draining board. Prepared dinners by us are £35 per guest per week. We only accept weekly bookings for this service unless guests are staying for less than 7 days, in which case the fee is calculated at £5 per guest per day up to 6 days. LAUNDRY Guests may not use our washing machine. Free laundry service is only available for guests staying longer than 7 days and is done by us on a weekly basis. Interaction with GuestsWe live at the accommodation and Guests are welcome to join us in the lounge or the cinema room anytime. Occasionally guests join us for special events, playing sports (Badminton,Tennis,Pool), shopping or when we meet friends. The NeighborhoodThe area we live in is right on the edge of the southdowns countryside. Just a couple of minutes walk and you are there. It is also not so far from the seaside, just a short bus journey away. Brighton city centre is only a 30 or so minute bus ride away for all of the hustle-bustle of city life, but can take longer during busy times ! Getting AroundThe area of Brighton we live in is called Hove. It is the quieter part of Brighton next to the countryside. There is a park and a small shopping area a few minutes walk from our home. We live just a 30 minute bus ride away from central Brighton and a 15 minute ride from the beach. The bus runs from directly outside our home every 5 minutes and are numbers 5,5A & 5B. There is also a number 16/66 bus that goes to the direction of Portslade. Our area has free on street parking. Other Things to NoteWe actually have 4 separate rooms that we rent out. 1 Double room. 1 Single/Double/Twin room. 2 single rooms. One of which has a spare single fold away bed for occasional use (Room 3, added charge of £15 per night for this). We have a wonderful south facing garden with summer house and patio and also a cinema room with an 8 foot screen. This area has free on street parking.(always a parking space) Extra supplements. Minimum block bookings of 7 consecutive days, payable in advance. No refunds are given for days when meals or use of kitchen are missed or not needed. Self catering supplement of £2.50 per person per night. This is for the use of the cooker and oven to make your own food. Any pots and pans used must be washed after use. Evening meal supplement cooked by us of £5 per person per night. We have 2 cats called Lex & LuLu.

The SpaceQuiet space from which to explore Brighton and Hove, and the surrounding countryside. The beach is much quieter this end of town! South facing conservatory to sit and admire the garden if the weather is not behaving. Easy access by car, bus or train, then return here for a quiet nights sleep. The SpacePlease check the location prior to booking. North of Hove Park, I would not like guests to be disappointed. Hove Station is -1.4miles away. Brighton Centre is - 2.8miles away. The location may be too far out for some guests. So please do check A double room, in a first floor flat with balcony, suitable for a single person, or a couple. Quiet, cozy, comfortable. Taxi will take just 10/15 minutes from Brighton Station, depending on traffic, 5/10 minutes from Hove Station. I do this trip regularly by car, and have arrived at Hove Station within 7 minutes. Brighton is a wonderful coastal town made popular in Victorian times. There's a wealth of historical sites in and around the South East of England, easily accessible by train and bus. Arundel Castle is just 20 minutes away by car, 30/40 minutes by train, 1hr.20min by bus leaving from Brighton, on through Hove The bus journey is well worth the time. Lewes, a historic town full of antique and artisan shops, small cafes and pubs, is just 15 minutes away by train, 25 minutes by car. There is a bus service to Lewes. Brighton is a busy tourist town, while Hove is a little quieter. A bus from outside the flats will take you to Brighton Pavilion, the Laines and Brighton Pier in 15 /25 minutes, depending on the time of day and traffic. Gatwick airport is just 40 minutes away by train. The Newhaven Ferry Port to France is 20/30 minutes away by car, and is on the local bus route. Trains to Plymouth & Portsmouth run regularly from Hove Station.. Brighton has visitors throughout the year due to a multitude of events and festivals taking place here. It is also a great place for a weekend break if you live and work in London. Shops and supermarkets are within walking distance. The locality is quiet and safe. The NeighborhoodThe flat is on the North Side of Hove Park and Brighton Dog track - so please check the area prior to your request. Four to five minutes walking distance to Waitrose and the adjoining Brighton Dog track. *Please check the location before booking. Getting AroundBuses run frequently into Brighton city. Trains from London to Brighton run every 20 minutes or so, and can be picked up from Hove Station to London Victoria. For St. Pancras station you will need to use the feeder connection into Brighton. The nearest airport is Gatwick, which has a regular train service to Brighton. I offer a free pick service from Hove Station if needed, --as long as I am available at the time of your arrival. Pavement parking is available at the rear of the building. Residents, along with friends and guests generally park there. Other Things to NoteAn absolutely no smoking flat. The SpaceQuiet, clean and comfortable double room minutes from the South Downs and a short bus ride into Hove and Central Brighton. The room is perfect for one person but accommodates 2 people comfortably for a short period. Guest AccessYou have access to you own modern bathroom with shower. Coffee and tea facilities available and continental breakfast available on request. Because we often work from home access to the rest of the house is limited. You will have access to our fully equipped kitchen on set hours. Dishes, pans, cups etc will need to be washed and put away, surfaces whipped etc. You are welcome to use the washing machine, just remember to get detergent as it is not provided. You have access to the garden through your room, it is a really beautiful and relaxing space perfect for al fresco dining or a cup of coffee! You will have keys to the house so you can come and go freely. We do ask you to come home before midnight on week days, our dogs will let the whole road know otherwise and we all need to be up for work in the morning :) Interaction with GuestsThe other occupants of the house are my partner Lisa, myself and our lovely little terrier Ruby and gorgeous Cavapoo Daisy. We are a pretty international house and have settled in Brighton for three years now after our extended trip through South East Asia and Asia Pacific. The NeighborhoodPorstlade Old Village is a small conservation area just outside of Hove. We enjoy brilliant connections into Brighton and Hove and are lucky to be able to walk a few minutes into the South Downs. There is a lovely village feelings and you can visit the old church and East Hill Park. The SpaceThe ground floor comprises: Living room with 47-inch TV, freeview, big comfy sofa and free wireless broadband; play room with sofa bed and two big cupboards full of toys the kids are welcome to enjoy; large well-equipped kitchen with dining table to seat six, fan-assisted oven, gas hob, washing machine, tumble dryer; downstairs toilet. Patio doors open onto the south-facing garden, which is half decked and has another table to seat six. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a family bathroom. The master bed has a very comfortable super king size bed and the smaller bedroom has two further beds: one full size single and one toddler bed. As we are a family of two adults and two small children who live here usually the house is well equipped with everything a visiting family might need. Guest AccessThe whole house and garden will be yours to enjoy. The NeighborhoodOur lovely family home is situated in south Portslade, just over the Hove border. It is very close to Vale Park and a mile from Hove Lagoon. There is a newsagent just on the corner and a Co-op and Tesco Metro both within half a mile. Getting AroundFree parking and great transport links via road, bus (1/1A) or rail to central Hove, Brighton, Gatwick and London.

The SpaceThe room is quite large and can accommodate up to two people comfortably. There is a double bed, wardrobe, draw space, TV and fast WIFI. Guest AccessThe guest's will have access to a bright double bedroom, bathroom and separate toilet, kitchen use throughout the day and up to 8pm at night. The room has an iron, ironing board, fresh linen and towels. Interaction with GuestsI will be present sometimes during the guests stay and will be happy to help and answer queries and places to visit during their stay. The NeighborhoodI live on the outskirts of Hove and have the best of both worlds, living near the sea and Brighton town and also a short walk or drive into the countryside. Getting AroundThe number 27 bus can be caught at the top of Dyke Road Avenue and will take you into the heart of Brighton town centre in just 15 minutes. If arriving at Brighton Station then the number 27 will bring you to the top of Dyke Road Avenue and my apartment is a 3 minute walk from the bus stop. The nearest International Airport is, London Gatwick Airport, a twenty minute train journey to Brighton Station by the Gatwick Express Train Service then a short bus journey on the number 27 bus or a taxi ride to Woodland Court. There are many parks and recreational facilities near by. We have a quiet beach 10-15 mins cycle away (or a couple of minutes in the car) with a fantastic cafe and sandy beach at low tide. Transport into the city and further to London is easy with regular bus links and a train station directly behind the house. Our house is equipped for children with many board games, footballs, books and toys that will be available for your use. If you are a family, you can relax in our house. Getting AroundThe local train station is 2 minutes walk from the house with regular fast trains to Brighton and Hove where you can connect to London or along the south coast. Buses into the city are also within easy walking from the house with regular services into the city.     The SpaceTo hopefully make life easier for guests I do provide bath towels, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. There are no self catering facilities here. The kitchen and kitchen equipment / utensils may not be used. However, I can provide a home cooked evening meal at a cost of £4.00. 24 hours notice is required for this service. Please bear this in mind if you would like a meal upon arrival. I can also provide a laundry service. Items will be washed and ironed at a cost of £6.00 per load. I aim to have your clean laundry returned to you with in 24 hours where possible. Guests who stay for more than 6 nights will have their room cleaned weekly, normally at the weekend. Beds will have clean sheets and fresh towels will be provided at this time. Guest AccessThere are no self catering facilities here therefore guest only have access to the room they have rented and the shared bathroom. The kitchen and kitchen equipment/utensils may not be used. Interaction with GuestsI always like to have a cup of tea with guests upon arrival and show them round, how things work etc. but I do try to give guests as much privacy as possible. However, I'm here much of the time and always try to assist guests with any problems they may have or help with any local info. The NeighborhoodPortslade is a small town, near enough to Brighton without being in the midst of city life. We live 5 minutes away from picturesque Portslade Village and also from the South Downs and Foredown Tower. In the main part of Portslade there is a local high street with shops and restaurants. As I am on the top floor we are lucky to have amazing views of the Channel! Getting AroundThere is a bus stop around the corner which will take you into Hove, Brighton city centre and onto Brighton train station. Portslade train station is a 15 minute walk, alternatively you can take the bus. Trains connect to Brighton. Other direction will take you to Southwick, Shoreham, Worthing, Littlehampton. Buses are quite frequent - every 12 mins during the day, every 20 mins from early evening until midnight. There is also a night bus which travels from Brighton city centre to our neighbourhood during the early hours. Other Things to NoteWe have a car park here which you are more than welcome to use. There are stairs to the apartment therefore staying here is not suitable for those with mobility problems. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the apartment. The heating is not turned on during the Spring / Summer months. The heating is on a timer and will come on every evening during the colder months. Do not under any circumstances touch the boiler or adjust the radiators. If there is a problem please speak to me and I will adjust the heating.

    The SpaceOur spare room has two small beds (2'6" wide). One bed slides out of the way under the other if there is only one guest. The beds can be pushed together to form a large double bed if a couple is staying. The room is comfortable for one person and rather tight for two. There is a chest of drawers and a bedside cabinet and a chair. The room has: a TV with DVD player; a ceiling fan; a hanging rail; a dresser; a wall mirror; and a bedside lamp. Guest AccessGuests have shared access to: two bathrooms (one with bathtub and shower); washing machine and dryer (by prior arrangement); use of kettle, toaster in kitchen for self-service breakfast, beverages and light snacks (provided). There is free wireless internet throughout the house. Interaction with GuestsWe are a friendly couple happy to give local information to visitors and our two dogs love a new lap to cuddle on. Guests are welcome to join us in the lounge or garden. The NeighborhoodOur neighbourhood is on the South Downs countryside, which has public footpaths and lovely views. The seaside resort of Brighton is easily accessible by bus or car from our home. London is an hour's train ride from Portslade Station. Getting AroundThe area of Brighton & Hove in which we live is called Portslade. It is a quite area near the countryside. The number 1 / 1A bus stops just around the corner from our house and it is one of the city’s most frequent bus services. On street parking is free and always available. The Portslade Train Station is a short taxi or bus ride from our house. Other Things to NoteThere is a flight of stairs from the street to our house and a flight of stairs inside to get to your bedroom so this accommodation is not suitable for people with limited mobility. We have a south facing garden and conservatory to make the best of any good weather.

    The SpaceOurs is a typical 1930's semi-detached house. I have attempted to maintain the period look where possible and the garden is an oasis of calm. The NeighborhoodIt is just 5 minutes to cycle to the western end of the promenade by Hove lagoon. (15 min walking) From there you can go all the way along the seafront into Brighton and beyond. There is so much to see it is difficult to list it all. Closer to home there are some nice pubs in Poet's Corner, Hove which are about a 15 minute walk away. Close to large Sainsburys supermarket. Getting AroundFive minutes walk to Portslade train station which connects directly to Brighton (one or two stops), Gatwick and London. Bikes available. Bus stops 2 or 4 minutes away. Other Things to NoteGood Spanish and very basic German spoken.

Brighton city centre is only a 30 or so minute bus ride away for all of the hustle-bustle of city life, but can take longer during busy times ! Getting AroundThe area of Brighton we live in is called Hove. It is the quieter part of Brighton next to the countryside. There is a park and a small shopping area a few minutes walk from our home. We live just a 30 minute bus ride away from central Brighton and a 15 minute ride from the beach. The bus runs from directly outside our home every 5 minutes and are numbers 5,5A & 5B. Other Things to NoteCinema system is ONLY to be operated by host. We also have 1 Double room and 2 single rooms for guests. We have a wonderful south facing garden with summer house and patio. This area has free on street parking.(always a parking space) Extra supplements. Minimum block bookings of 7 consecutive days, payable in advance.     The SpaceModern, fresh and calm room in a relaxed and spacious house. Situated on the top floor of our town house you are tucked away from the bustle of our family to enjoy a peaceful stay. The room is bright and fresh with it's own en suite bathroom, TV with freeview channels, WiFi, DeLongi coffee machine to allow you to fully enjoy your time away. The price is for room only but we are happy to advise on great local restaurants, coffee shops and cafes to cover all eating requirements! So please, just ask. Portslade is an up and coming neighbourhood, just minutes on the train from Brighton and Hove. There are a number of great places to eat and with the beach only a short walk from the house you can access a range of water sports, cafes and family areas. Portslade has plenty of free parking and great public transport into either Brighton and Hove should you want to explore. We fully welcome families with children, we have a travel cot and plenty of baby equipment to make your stay easier. Just off the beach road we are in the perfect position to explore the coast. Getting AroundThe train station is a 5 minute walk from the house, we are situation in a free parking area (a real bonus as parking restrictions in Hove and Brighton are very strict).     The SpaceWe welcome guests, and hope we can make them feel comfortable here. Our home has recently been renovated, and is warm and well insulated. The room has a beautiful ensuite shower room. Also, for two couples there is a second double room available, with its own bathroom. Tea and coffee facilities are in the rooms, and use of kitchen if wanted. There are plenty of fun coffee houses and restaurants to choose from around the corner and on the sea front. Guest AccessIf there is anything you would particularly need just let us know.     The SpaceThe room is 95 square feet and has free high speed wireless internet ,carpeted flooring,air conditioning,wardrobe, matching dressing table/desk, leather chair,drawers,24' LED television with freeview tv and dvd player,large wall mirror, tabletop mirror with magnifying side,hairdryer,electric heating,desk lamp,bedside lamp,alarm clock,cd player/radio,fridge-freezer,desktop fan,pin board,laundry bag,shelving. We have a spare fold away bed that can be used in this room as an extra bed. It does make the room very tight though, so should only be used for short term stays ! THIS ROOM DOESN'T HAVE A WINDOW AND WHEN THE WEATHER IS HOT THE AIR CONDITIONING WILL NEED TO BE USED, WHICH IS QUITE NOISY. THE STAIRCASE IS ALSO VERY STEEP TO THIS ROOM AND SO NOT SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE WITH MOBILITY IMPAIRMENTS. Guest AccessA house key is provided. I am also on hand to advise the best locations to visit in Brighton and when possible can provide transport to my guests. I often do a barbecue on Sunday evenings which guess more than welcome to join in and participate my house is a very friendly house The NeighborhoodThe neighbourhood which I living is very friendly and there is easy access to the beach which is a 15 minute walk and easy access to the countryside which again is about a 15 minute walk there are buses and there are trains which will take you to Brighton Centre and only 50 minutes to London Getting AroundThere is a bus which is located three minutes walk from the house and there is the train station which is located five minutes from the house there is easy access to the beach and countryside and also if you are driving it is very easy to access the motorway

    The SpaceOur family friendly home in Hove is a great base for families on an event in Hove or just wanting a base for a short break. We have 2 spacious bedrooms, both of which have a double and a single bed, a wardrobe and chest of drawers in them. We also have a really good and strong brand new camp bed if you need it (with bedding supplied by us) Beds will be made up for you with clean linen and fresh towels. You will also get wi fi access, hairdryer as well as a kettle, mugs, tea, coffee and milk for you to make your own drinks at any time. We have plenty of hotel-style toiletries in your bathroom for your use. We are really happy to have families with children to stay. Breakfast is served between 7.00 and 9.00 (up to 10.00 at weekends) and can be a choice of any or all of the following: tea, coffee and fruit juice, a wide variety of cereals, toast, butter and a choice of spreads, boiled or scrambled eggs, croissants, pan au chocolat and fruit. Check in is usually 6.00 pm (although we can usually be flexible for earlier arrivals if needed - please ask and we will let you know). Check out time usually is 11.00 am We are only 7 minutes walk from the seafront at Hove, and within 5 minutes of 3 great parks which are perfect for children under 10 - Wish Park, Hove Lagoon and Stoneham Park. With buses running all day and into the evening, there is no problem getting to and from town. Guest AccessYou'll have access to our pretty garden to relax in, and the kitchen to make tea and coffee or cold drinks of squash or water at any time during your stay. Our washing machine is available if you need a load doing and we also have a washing line and a tumble drier (for wet days). There is a private bathroom (brand new shower, sink and loo) directly beside your bedrooms. For guests staying more than 2 days, we would be happy to let you use our kitchen and cooker to prepare light evening meals (as long as you leave the kitchen as clean as you find it). And we can clear a shelf in the fridge for you to store any food. Alternatively we will be happy for you to join us for some family meals for a small charge (usually £5.00 per person per evening). Interaction with GuestsWe will be around the house to welcome you, and also in the mornings as you have your breakfast. We're very happy to give you as much advice as you want about where to go and what to see. If you would rather be left alone then that is fine with us. Getting AroundWe live in the last free parking area this end of town and while you might not be able to park directly outside of the house, there's always plenty of space on the street. There are so some nice pubs serving food and a few restaurants locally. Alternative, a 15 minute walk will take you to Church Street where there is a big choice of lovely restaurants.

Both Hove and Portslade train stations are a 10 minute walk making a day trip to London very easy. We will leave information on the local area, restaurant recommendations, great parks with cafe's and information about access to the amazing South Downs. Other Things to NoteEach bedroom has a television with 2 DVD players available. The lounge and master bedroom have Virgin Media boxes for satellite TV and wi-fi is available. Guests are welcome to use the X-Box in the lounge. We are happy to leave visitor parking permits at a cost of £4.00 per day. Guest towels will be left for your use.
