There is also a small supermarket and a bakery where they make traditional local bread where you can purchase groceries and necessities. Getting AroundMallia is situated between the mountain resort of Platres and the city of Limassol so is a great home base for exploring the island in a serene quiet spot. Heading down the wine route you reach Erimi in around 20 minutes, the village is home to the island's wine museum. The nearby village of Episkopi offers a large supermarket and a number of taverns and bars. A further 5 minutes' drive along the coast and you will reach the ancient city state of Kourion with its fascinating archaeological remains and Curium Beach which is popular with swimmers, windsurfers and kite surfers, there are three beach restaurants serving food and drinks.
