The ‘Muruthange’ Bungalow is tucked away in a peaceful and humble two acre property; spacious enough to comfortably fit a six member family, and snug enough to host a single person looking for some much needed solitude, rest and rejuvenation.
The outdoor area will soothe you with its lush floral landscape and surprise you with its diverse fauna. This is especially so if you are a bird watcher, as the property plays host to many a feathered visitor including Paradise Flycatchers, Seven sister birds/Jungle babblers, black-capped bulbuls and Peacocks, to name a few. All in all it will be the perfect place to appreciate nature, and get lost in your thoughts.
The open fire pit adds a cozy ambiance and is a quite popular activity among guests.
Intricately carved wooden ceilings and clean floors emblazoned with traditional designs greet you the moment you step into the bungalow. Some of the Antique furniture that survived from the period, are lain in an ornamental fashion throughout the house.
A rustic dining cum kitchen area, which opens up onto the back veranda, offers a convenient space where you can enjoy your meals.
The three bed rooms consist of a master furnished with a queen-sized bed, another with a full-sized bed and one more room with two single beds.
The front room acts as a workspace. Complete with a modest library, it is a tranquil space where you could work on that book you’ve been meaning to write, catch up on that last minute project you’ve left behind, check on how everything back at the office is, compose those emails you have to send or just sit back, kick your feet up and read that best-selling novel you’ve been dying to read.
