The screened-in front porch is a nice place to back up and regroup. The NeighborhoodThings close by: Huzzah and Courtois Rivers, Edg-clif Winery, Sayersbrook Bison Ranch, Foursche Valley Golf Course and The Berryman Trail.     Located in the Mark Twain National forest this 3 br 2 bath 3010 sq foot house is surrounded by all nature has to offer. The house sits in the middle of the 100 acre farm, which has a creek running through it and 2 small ponds. A nice place to get away from it all. To kick back and relax or to explore the wonders of nature. This 100 acre farm's history dates back to the late 1800's with the land deed being signed by Ulysses S Grant. The kitchen and dining are constructed with logs from the original homestead. Vaulted ceilings show off the hand hewn beams cut from trees on the farm. The perfect place for those who like to explore to outdoors but don't want to give up the convienences of home. Our vineyard consists of Brianna, Edelweiss, Chambourcin and Concord. Even though the our location is remote there are many activities just a short drive from here. Fourche Valley Golf Course, Edg-Cliff Winery, YMCA of the Ozarks, Floating on the Huzzah and Courtois rivers, just to name a few. P&L;, a small country store, offers deli meats and made to order pizza, is just a few miles away. Once you get here you may not want to leave. The quite, peaceful atmosphere is consuming. It is the perfect place to get away from it all and just relax or get outside and enjoy the outdoors. The house sits in the middle of the Mark Twain National forest on a 100 acre farm. There is a small farm pond and a spring-fed creek close by. Construction of the vineyard was started in 2012 with just over and acre of grapes being grown at this time. We hope to bottle wine after the next growing season.

The Old Caledonian Bed & Breakfast resides in the grand Ruggles-Evans-Dent House, listed on the United States Register of Historic Places, which was built in 1849 on four grass and wood-lined acres right on the main street of Caledonia.       Franklin Farms and Vineyard is located West of Potosi and East of Steeleville. Nestled in the middle of the Mark Twain National Forest, the 100 acre farm allows you to get lost in the peace and serenity of nature without giving up the modern conveniences of home. The farm orginated in the late 1800's after the civil war. We have the original land deed signed by Ulysses S. Grant. In 1998 the logs from the original homestead were use to construct the home that now exists. In 2011, the construction of the vineyard began The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. It also has a large living room with a loft, full kitchen and dining area. Relax on the screened-in front porch while listening to the Hoot Owls and Whippoorwills. There are 2 small ponds that are a short hike from the house and a spring-fed creek is nearby. Bring your picnic basket of goodies to the Pavilion, and have lunch amidst gardens and hummingbirds. In the afternoon Tour the Winery and Brewery and enjoy an educational and delicious wine tasting. Spend the evening counting stars and visiting around the firepit. All these amenities are on premise within a 6 minute walk. Interaction with GuestsThe Winery and Brewery are open Saturday and Sundays all year from 11-5pm. From Memorial Day through Halloween we are open on Fridays from 2-7pm. We are around taking care of the vineyards and the winery most of the week so we will be happy to help with any questions and directions. The NeighborhoodEdg-Clif Farms is in the heart of an agricultural area for livestock and hay fields. Rolling hills and steep stone bluffs make this a very romantic and rustic setting. Edg-Clif is also home to a 150 head Bison Herd. Guests can see them on the hillside most mornings.
