The SpaceThe home is four years old and is situated in a quiet neighborhood that offers residents two playgrounds, a clubhouse and a swimming pool. Once entering the house, your room is directly down the hall and to the rear of the family room on the right. The room is equipped with wifi, tv, cable, full closet with hangers, iron, tea/coffee maker. House has central A/C and heat. Natural light floods the room for a warm welcome feel. If you prefer to sleep in, the window treatments are light-reflective and you can keep them closed to remain in the dark for as longer sleep. Guest AccessYou will have access to the private bedroom, a full bathroom, kitchen, living room common space, backyard, and deck. You also have access to the laundry room upstairs which is equipped with washer and dryer. Just inform me whenever you need to use the washer and dryer so I can ensure my clothes are out of there! Interaction with GuestsI enjoy chatting and getting to know people and I can suggest great places to dine, shop and see. When I am available, we may interact as much or as little as you like. And that includes my little dog. He loves company. However, if you want your privacy that is great too and easy to do with your private space! The NeighborhoodPowder Springs is a quiet area that sits snuggly between Douglasville, Hiram, Marietta, Kennesaw & Smyrna. You are exactly 30 min to the heart of downtown Atlanta, 15 min to Six Flags, 7 min to Hiram, 30 min to downtown Marietta and 20 min to The Avenues for retail therapy. A quick 20 minute drive to East-West Connect will place you in Smyrna & The Vinings where you will enjoy a host will of unique boutique cafe's and eateries such as Curry, Curry (splendid Thai gem) and South City Kitchen for a twist on southern style cuisine. For the joggers, walkers, bikers, my neighborhood sits 5 minutes from the Silver Comet Trail. This trail extends through 3 states for your exercise pleasure and offers an outdoor gym or you can go to one of the 5 indoor gyms that are no more than 7 min from my house! Getting AroundThis a remote location so there is no public transit system like you will find the city. However, during the week the express bus is available for non-stop transportation to downtown Atlanta from 4am until 7pm. This is not your average bus line. It is luxury. The price is $5.00 and worth every penny. The station is 5 minutes from the neighborhood.
Lyft/Uber/Taxi rides are always available. Other Things to NoteI have the most adorable, well mannered and loveable (confirmed by many) 6lb yorkie. He loves to be loved. He thinks he is human and prefers the company of humans. He knows his boundaries in the house and remains in the common areas (not including the kitchen - that is off-limits). He is not a yappy Yorkie and actually prefers a quiet atmosphere. So, if you speak in raised volumes, he will remind you to use your inside voice. :-) If you are allergic to dogs, this will not be a good option for you. If you are on the fence about dogs, he will definitely win you over (I have witnessed this). And if you love dogs, you will be trying to figure out how to clone him! He is so loveable that he has made it into Senior graduation photos and has never spent a day in high school - true story.
