It's only 5.6km from Melbourne city making it a very convenient base. Shopping is a highlight in Melbourne and with Chapel Street a 15 minute walk away or a 5 minute tram ride away so spending those hard earned dollars is easy! The food culture in South Yarra is amazing and every meal is catered for within walking distance or a short tram or train ride from our place. We've left a detailed list of our faves in the apartment and hope you try some! Melbourne is famous for events and was even branded on our licence plates as "being the place to be"! Our apartment is the ideal location for the footy finals, the spring racing carnival, the Australian Open Tennis, F1 Australian Grand Prix and numerous other truly Melbourne events. It's also ideal if you want to enjoy the city while experiencing the leafy unique suburbs. Getting AroundPublic transport is almost at your doorstep with Hawksburn Train Station an easy 6 minute walk away and trams to the city from Malvern Road about 4 minutes away. Other Things to NoteThis apartment has wonderful views of the city and is light-filled due to being located on the top floor of a 2-storey apartment block. The downside of this is that there are 2 storeys of stairs that must be traversed to reach the apartment and we are not fortunate enough to have lift access.

The SpaceLarge room with a queen sized bed and its own bathroom in a comfortable townhouse in a quiet location. Great public transport (trams and buses) into the city of Melbourne (20-30 minutes). Lots of shops, bars and cafes within a few minutes walk in Malvern Road and Chapel St, also large food market (4 days a week). A great location from which to explore Melbourne. Guest AccessYou are welcome to use the lounge and garden. But the property is non smoking. The NeighborhoodPrahran is a great place to live. There are nice parks, local swimming pool is a few streets away. Lots of public transport, a huge range of shops and cafes too. Getting Around2 minutes walk to trams and buses into the city. The train station is 15 minute walk.

The SpaceThis apartment is perfect for those wanting to experience the best of Melbourne. Situated in the heart of Prahran and Windsor with cafes, restaurants and shopping right on your doorstep. The apartment has a double security entrance and situated at the back of the building where it is lovely and VERY quiet (which surprises everyone). It's fully furnished with sofa, coffee table, LCD TV on the wall, a fully equipped full size kitchen, fridge, washing machine and queen size bed. Full of natural light and lockable bi fold doors in the lounge room look out over the communal walled garden which let in plenty of fresh air. Living room boasts floating floor boards and air conditioning. Kitchen is a fantastic size for a 1 bedroom apartment; with stone worktops, plenty of cupboards, SMEG cooking appliances and dishdrawer, complete with washing machine and fridge that are tucked away behind a sliding door. Walking through the kitchen to the carpeted bedroom which has a mirrored robe, wall heating and ceiling fan. Ensuite bathroom features shower, toilet, basin and wall mirror cabinet. Cooling and heating: Air conditioning/heating in living area, wall heater in bedroom, ceiling fan in bedroom and over head heating in bathroom. Walk only three min north up Chapel st to the famous Greville st village complete with Melbourne designed fashion, devine beauty products at Aesope, vintage Leone Edmonston store, Vinyl record store and the best coffee at Pardon and too much more to mention.Once you have made it to the end you will find the Prahran train station.Only seven min to the city.But dont over look going to Albert park lake and St Kilda which are both so close you could walk to.That is if you are like me and like to stretch your legs. Other Things to NoteI would love to sing the praises of the bus that connects to all flights twenty four hours a day seven days a week that takes you from the airport to the city in only twenty min. It termainates at the train station where you can then jump on the Sandrigham train to the Prahan station. Then it is only a five min walk to your new home way from home. The Skybus is affordable as is the local tram,train and bus service. For the tram, train and bus you need only to purchase one card that will cover all modes of transport. Buy one at the airport or train station and top it up as you go. Easy. But whilst staying on Chapel st you need only to walk to find all that you need. If you prefer taxi just call 13CAB.

Here, designer labels go hand in hand with fancy bistros. Top Shop has recently just opened on Chapel St. along with many other fantastic places. The street gets crowed on weekends as cafes compete with boutiques for passing trade. Chapel St is also lined with night clubs, bars and any food you could possibly want! Take the tram from right outside the building to the city or a 4 minute walk to Prahran Station. Please note that this apartment is located in the heart of Prahran, on Chapel Street. There are lots of bars & restaurants near & is not for the light sleeper! Can get noisy some nights. Also, the first picture of the apartment is a little old (furniture has changed) so look at all the others for a clear indication of how the apartment looks! If for some reason I can not meet you, like flight delays etc. I will leave the keys in an envelope in the letterbox. For Dining, there's Franco Choos, Hanoi Hannah, Charlie Dumpling, Huxtaburger, Lucky Coq, Dukes/Journeyman, Grill'd, Morris Jones, Yellowbird, Tyranny of Distance, Hooked Seafood, The Smith, Morris Jones and Orange within 5 minutes walk, and plenty more to choose from. For Shopping, let's just say you wont see every shop on Chapel street in one day. You'll need at least a week. Getting AroundOur Underground Carpark is available for those who are utilising a car whilst staying. There are also multiple tram stops right outside the apartments main doors and Prahran train station is a short 5 minute walk. From Prahran station it's only two stops and 5 minutes on the train to Richmond station where the Australian Open Tennis and Cricket World Cup matches are being held. You can catch a taxi directly here from the airport which will take approximately 30 minutes. Or take the Skybus into the city and then catch the Sandringham train line out to Prahran station. The NeighborhoodPrahran is one of Melbourne’s most fashionable areas with boutique and high street clothing stores, restaurants, cafés, bars, nightclubs and Melbourne’s famous Prahran market all within walking distance. Many of the restaurants and bars in the area are known as Melbourne’s most famous spots. Despite being so central to the buzz of Chapel Street, there is some respite from the noise at our apartment which is located on a quieter street just 3 minutes’ walk from the fun! There really couldn’t be a better place to stay during a trip to Melbourne. Getting AroundOur apartment is perfectly located to access the best of public transport. The number 72 tram leaves from outside the apartment and takes you right to the heart of Melbourne’s CBD (and on the way, to The National Gallery of Victoria; The Botanical Gardens; The Melbourne War Memorial; Federation Square; The ACMI; The Ian Potter Gallery and much more). From Chapel Street, the 78 tram takes you to Richmond or St Kilda, two of Melbourne’s other most happening suburbs with famous restaurants and shops. St Kilda boasts famous nightlife and a ‘traveller’s scene’ as well as playing host to our nearest beach. Richmond marks the location of Melbourne’s famous Victoria Street (an Asian culinary mecca and a Melbourne ‘must do’) as well as the hallowed Melbourne Cricket Ground. We are also equidistant from both Hawksburn train station and Prahran train station (7 to 10 mins walk) where you can catch trains to the CBD, to the outer suburbs of Melbourne (including some more secluded beaches), and the beginnings of the stunning Victorian countryside. We are also a walk away from the AAMI stadium, the Rob Laver Tennis Ground and the famous Yarra River trail.
