The SpaceWe have a comfortable room available for your use. It is ideal or a single person or married couple. Stay for one night or for a long-term work assignment. Children are welcome and we would be happy to bring in comfortable blankets and a sleeping bag. Babies are welcome, but we do not have a crib available, so guests would need to bring their own pack n' play. The room has a nightstand, closet, dresser, and mini-fridge. We have towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner available for your use. We have a small desk we can put in the room upon request - perfect for business travelers and students. The bathroom is just around the corner. We are certain you will find the room comfortable and we hope you enjoy your stay with us! Guest AccessWhile this listing is for one bedroom and bathroom, guests will also have access to the common areas of our home, including living room, dining room, and kitchen. You are welcome to cook and bake in our kitchen and we welcome guests to use our dishes, cookware, appliances, condiments, spices, and baking ingredients. We also have a washer and dryer in the basement which is available for guest use and includes use of laundry soap, bleach, and fabric softener sheets, if needed. Guests are welcome to use our refrigerator and freezer, or use the mini-fridge provided in the room. We hope you'll feel comfortable taking out a board game, cards, or curling up with a good book during your stay. Interaction with GuestsThis is our home, so we are quite available for questions, help, suggestions, or whatever is needed! The NeighborhoodOur home is in a quiet and established neighborhood, just on the Kansas side of the KC Metro area. Our neighborhood is exceptionally safe and neighbors are friendly. We are located within walking distance to the Prairie Village shops which has a grocery store, coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, and all kinds of specialty shops. Getting AroundUnfortunately, Kansas City doesn't have a great public transit system and Prairie Village is completely exempt from the lines entirely. We recommend using Uber or renting a car during your stay.
