The NeighborhoodThis quiet neighborhood is surrounded by nature and its inhabitants. Be mindful of wildlife when driving, they are plentiful in this area! Be sure to visit the local ski village or enjoy the great views on the Cannon Valley Trail. Historic Red Wing is only minutes away and leisurely stroll through downtown is a must, its simply beautiful. Getting AroundWe are only minutes from Welch Ski Village, the historic downtown Red Wing, and less than an hour from the bustling Twin Cities. Due to the rural nature of this location, its best to have your own transportation to get around.

The SpaceOur beautiful historic home was built in 1899 by the local town Grocer, Mr. Olson. Mr. and Mrs. Olson lived in the home until 1966 and raised their 7 children here. When the home was finally sold and moved to 1007 Sibley Street, Hastings, MN. it was occupied by the Siebenaler's. Getting AroundWe are located in the heart of Hastings, MN which making staying here walking distance to most services including restaurants, grocery stores, banks, retail outlets, gas stations, beautiful public parks, and more. Other Things to NoteWe are located just one mile from the Mississippi River and just 20 miles from Historic Stillwater, MN, oldest city in Minnesota. We have many local wineries within an hour drive from town located off of the Great River Highway in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The SpaceThis Queen Anne Victorian masterpiece was built by lumber baron George S. Hollister who owned the Prescott Lumber Company. Hollister had access to and used the area's finest lumber to create this stunning Queen Anne Victorian mansion, the crown jewel of St. Croix River’s Victorian homes. With over 5,000 square feet, the mansion was once a bed and breakfast and now available for your special event and overnight lodging. The Mansion boasts a formal salon parlor with a fireplace, music room, library, living and dining room, large kitchen, butler's kitchen, formal foyer, library, Queen Anne porch, four season porch; that's just the first floor. The second floor has 6 bedrooms, 5 spa tubs, 5 fireplaces, 5 air conditioners, and 5 bathrooms. The top floor has large and flexible entertainment space with a professional sound system and lights, as well as, bedroom and bathroom and sleeping loft. There are original stain glass windows, tin metal ceiling, intricate woodwork and hard wood floors throughout the house. Governors, famous writers and musicians have slept at the Hollister Mansion. The mansion was restored with modern amenities to make your stay comfortable, yet kept its historical charm and elegance. The Hollister Mansion is located in Prescott, a colorful rivertown with a public marina with river boat access, private marina, public beaches, fine and casual dining and lots of historical charm. Guests have used the Mansion in the past for lodging and parties such as bridal showers, anniversary parties, family reunions and Idyllic retreats. Guest AccessGuest has access to entire house, all three levels, all 5000 square feet. The house is perched on top of a hill, and guests can also enjoy a spacious backyard and garden that is perfect for a BBQ, rousing game of bocce or garden party. The NeighborhoodPrescott is one of the oldest Wisconsin towns on the Mississippi, dating back to 1839. Flank by two Victorian peacock statues, the Hollister Mansion proudly sits on top of a hill with great views of the river and Prescott. The Mansion is a 2-minute walk to Main Street where there are fine restaurants, casual dining, bars and saloons featuring live music or just enjoy the scenic and historical town as you walk about. The Great River Road Prescott is one of the oldest Wisconsin towns on the Mississippi, dating back to 1839. The city marks the juncture of the St. Croix River with the Big Muddy (Mississippi River). From the Great River Road Visitor & Learning Center in Freedom Park in Prescott, you can clearly see the line where the blue waters of the St. Croix join the dun-colored Mississippi. The Visitor Center is a fabulous introduction to the Upper Mississippi region using interactive exhibits, satellite maps, even an animated eagle to educate and fascinate. Previous guests have stayed at the Hollister Mansion and used it as a base for Great River Road Wine Trail, antiquing in small towns, biking the Great River Road and visiting Treasure Island Casino. Other Things to NoteThe Kitchens: There are two kitchens: the large formal kitchen and the butler's pantry. There is an array of different utensils, fancy plates, fancy glasses, pots and pans and just about anything you could need to cook. The kitchen has two ovens, two sinks, 5-burner stove, large fridge, microwave, kitchen island and plenty or countertop for you to prep and cook meals. The 3rd Floor Entertainment Room: Over 1600sq ft, this flexible entertainment space has professional sound and light system for dancing parties, karaoke singing and hanging out. Bring your smart phone, tablet or laptop to plug into the sound system and be your own DJ.

I live in a gorgeous town home, but it is more space than I really need. I love the river, eagles, friends and the life that I have in Wisconsin. My hope is that you will experience some of the beauty that I see every day, and be anxious to return.

My place is close to hiking and biking trails and the St. Croix River. You can walk to to Afton State Park and is a short drive to Afton Alps Ski/Golf area. Close access to St. Croix River and many parks and recreational areas. 5 minutes to downtown Afton, 15 to Hudson, 20 to Stillwater, and 20 to St. Paul. You’ll love my place because of It's proximity to state and county parks, and the peacefulness of the county. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

      This home has it all. It is located on the bluffs of the wild and scenic St Croix River, close to the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St Paul. The home has river frontage inviting recreation for all seasons. Winter allows cross country skiing on the river or the walking paths in the development. In the summer there is a dock for swimming and fishing or renting a boat at the Prescott boat club just 4 miles away. There are several bike paths within a few miles , a new bike path will open this summer connecting Prescott with Hasting. This "home away from home" has an open floor plan accommodating your family or friends . The new renovations allows a view of the river in almost every room in this house. The massive fire place in the great room invites you to sit and relax while reading your favorite book. The gourmet kitchen invites you to be creative or just sit at the bar enjoying your favorite wine. Just outside the kitchen is a screened porch over looking the river. The area is perfect for the summer meals you cook out on the gas grill. In the fall with the cooler evenings turn on the gas fire place to take away the chill. The main level has a large master suite with a private deck inviting you to watch the beautiful sun sets. The master bath features a body sprays system in the walk in shower and a deep effervescence whirlpool tub. The second bedroom holds a double bed with adjacent bathroom with a walk in shower. The upstairs has two bedrooms one king and one queen with a shared bathroom. The loft has a seating area for reading and queen hid-a-bed for additional sleeping. Since the family lives in this home when not rented they leave cooking items (spices oils baking items etc) for you to use. Wireless Wifi for your use and satellite tv.
