Large 4 bedroom house with lovely outdoor dining and pool area set in one hectare of mostly native bushland. Our four children have grown up and moved out but still visit from time to time. We are two minutes' walk from a high frequency bus service to Brisbane and train stations. The shopping centre is a 10 minute walk and includes a supermarket, tavern and restaurants. We have two double rooms available for guests in which we can either provide twin or double beds. Each room has a pleasant view of the garden, a ceiling fan, built in wardrobe and drawers, a bedside table and light and a desk and chair. We have a separate bathroom for guests. Guests may use the kitchen and laundry facilities.

I am a single female in my mid 20's. I work between the hours of 8 and 5 and am looking for someone to rent one of my spare rooms. I have a puppy who is currently 5 months old. She is a Siberian Husky and very friendly. I have a friend who stays in one of my rooms however she works away and is often only home 4 days a fortnight if that. I have one room which fits either 2 singles beds or a double. Dependent on who would like to stay I am happy to convert the single beds into a double / queen.

Our large house is set in bushland with abundant native birds, which will often allow people to hand feed them. Two mins' walk to an excellent bus service to the City that operates from 5:00am to 11:00pm every day every 15 mins and 5 mins in peak periods. BEDROOMS Two recently decorated double bedrooms. Each room provides: - pleasant views of the garden or bush - ceiling fan - wardrobe and drawer space - bedside table and light - desk and chair - WIFI (moderate use only) - electric blanket in winter Twin beds can be provided for one room only on request. An extra single trundle bed can be provided if needed for a third person, in addition to the double bed, at and additional $10 per day. The SpaceWe live in a beautiful rural setting close to the city. Our country style home is large and comfortable. Our guest room has an en suite, antique furnishings and an overhead fan. There are other two (kids) bedrooms each with 2 single beds that can be converted to Queen beds - mostly only available over the holidays. Guests are welcome to swim, feed the chickens, collect the eggs and pat our pony. Our fire pit is a favourite with guests with the house lending itself to al fresco dining and entertaining. Brookfield Store is a pleasant 500m walk away and offers country cooking and a good coffee. Booking the entire house is sometimes available on request for $200/night based on week long stays. Bookings for less than a week are charged at $250/night. Guest AccessPool, kitchen, coffee machine, fire pit, laundry, horses, pool, bush trails, bikes. Interaction with GuestsWe are happy to have as much or as little interaction with our guests - it is entirely up to them. Some people love to join in our daily activities; others prefer to have a more private experience and 'do their own thing'. We have 2 separate listings which can be confusing. We generally offer the main guest room only during term time and the whole house or additional rooms over the holidays. The NeighborhoodWe live in such a pretty part of the world where there is still a strong sense of community despite being so close to the city. There are also endless km of bush trails on our doorstep - suitable for walking, running, bike riding and horse riding. This is your ideal base to explore Brisbane, surrounding beaches and all that sunny Queensland has to offer. Whether you work in the city or are after an adventure, it starts right at our door step. Catch a bus about 100 meters from our door. There is also direct access to lots of bush walks, mountain bike trails and much more... Once summer is upon us, cool off with a dip in our swimming pool :) For our international guests, some French and Spanish is spoken along with a passionate musician in residence. This is a dog friendly house with two very playful cattle dogs. We are a family happy to share our house and beautiful surrounds and are looking forward to meet you.

The SpaceYou may make use of the kitchen as required. There is a lovely back patio for relaxing in the afternoon, a Spa (but please ask permission first). I am a shift worker and also quite social so my times are irregular. I am usually happy to chat and give directions about the area and greater Brisbane. Being a shift worker though, sometimes I need an early night. Due to the inaccessibility of public transport (nearest bus stop is 1.5km away), it is recommended that visitors have their own vehicle. This means you get control of the tv :-) The NeighborhoodAnstead is located about 30 minutes drive from Brisbane CBD. It is a beautiful, tranquil environment. Driving around locally you will frequently encounter lots of wildlife - ducks, geese, kookaburras, the occasional wallaby and deer (yes deer!). There are local shops a 5 minute drive away featuring a grocery store, bakery, fish & chip store and Tavern (if you want a nice sit down meal). The best coffee in Brisbane (so I think) can be found a few minutes drive away, you need to try it! Getting AroundDue to the inaccessibility of public transport (nearest bus stop is 1.5km away), it is recommended that visitors have their own vehicle. The SpaceWe live in a large country home on a beautiful 4 acres with a gorgeous creek, dam, swimming pool, fire pit, chickens, pets and a pony - yet we are still only 1 min from a decent coffee and 5 mins from Kenmore Village shopping centre. We can accommodate up to 10 guests at a time provided you are willing to embrace country living and care for our property and pets. Our two main rooms each have an en suite and outdoor access. The main room has a king bed and is air-conditioned while the guest room has a Queen bed, antique furnishings and an overhead fan. Two bedrooms have single beds which can easily be put together to make Queen beds and the third has a double bed in the form of a futon. We ask that our guests please feed and water our pets including feeding the chickens, collecting the eggs, feeding our friendly Border Collie dog and two friendly kitty cats. Our pony Taffy loves a pat or piece of bread over the fence. Brookfield Store is a pleasant 500m walk away and offers country cooking and a good coffee. Guests have access to the whole house excluding the office which my husband may frequent from time to time however you would be notified well in advance if this were to be the case. Pool, kitchen, coffee machine, laundry, horses, bush trails, bikes. We live in such a pretty part of the world where there is still a strong sense of community despite being so close to the city. There are endless km of bush trails on our doorstep - suitable for walking, running, bike riding and horse riding. We have a large house set in bushland with plenty of wildlife, especially native birds, which will often allow people to hand feed them. We are 2mins' walk from a good bus service to the City.       The SpaceThe Bungalow is a stand-alone, single storey building within the grounds of an acreage home. There are 2 bedrooms (Queen bed x1) in the main bedroom and King single x2 and x2 fold-outs in the large second bedroom. For our younger guests, a Port-a-cot, high chair and car seats are available upon request. On site babysitting available by negotiation. During their stay guests will enjoy the sole use of a family room, dining room, kitchenette and laundry. There is parking for 2 cars. The Bungalow is modern, fresh, clean and bathed in natural light. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the 2 bedroom Bungalow and it's allocated carparks. They are free to stay independently of the host family and come and go as they please. Interaction with GuestsThe host will be happy to meet with guests at the beginning of their stay and assist if there are any questions regarding the Bungalow, transport and activities in the area. If there is something in particular you require, just ask and we will be happy to arrange whatever you need to make your stay more comfortable. The NeighborhoodBrookfield is a rare find. It offers a 'rural' feel with the convenience of shopping centres and Brisbane's Central Business District within a 25 minute drive. The Brookfield Showground hosts events and functions from weddings to the annual Show and 'Bite Nites'. The Brookfield General store is approximately 400 metres away and offers meals and all the essentials you may require. A community park is located close by on Rafting Ground Road, and the Brookfield Produce is a great place to visit and pat the pig, goats and chickens etc. Gap Creek Reserve (200 metre walk from Bungalow) borders Mount Coot-tha Reserve and offers endless opportunities to enjoy the Australian bush and local wildlife.
