Wow factor Unconventional and outrageously cool, to stay at Winchester Avenue means taking time out of real life and entering a world where anything seems possible. Lines dip and bend, dinosaurs ride bicycles and skulls’ eyes dance with flowers. This home is one giant work of art, where every room, every corner, every last object has been shaped to amaze and delight. Open the front door to find Queens Park, and the bars and restaurants of Brondesbury and Kilburn. Between the Lexi Cinema and Tricycle Theatre you’ve more than enough to keep you occupied, but of course, the main battle is simply tearing yourself away from the sofa. He’s got the look Your Australian host owns one of the capital’s top hairdressing salons, and when he’s not in London, he’s at his villa in Ibiza. He loves to travel and to collect art – ideally at the same time. House of fun If one word were to sum up this home, it would be ‘joy’. There’s just the most tremendous verve, a fearless spirit that flows through the zebra skin rug, the outré furniture and modern lighting. Winchester Avenue is rocking some serious curves, from the glass coffee table and the crackle glazed breakfast bar to the awesome mosaicked Jacuzzi. The garden’s long, its green, green lawn shown to perfection against the saplings’ silvery bark, and up at the top of the house, the wide roof terrace kisses the sky. The guest double has something of an industrial aesthetic, with a slate floor and purposefully plain walls. Yellow, white and stunningly styled, the master bedroom’s uber-hip, its bed poking from a triangular jag in the wall and the ensuite hiding behind a pane of dark glass. In the groove Queens Park is packed with handy shops, cosy pubs and some thriving local restaurants. Aside from being a prime picnic spot, the park itself has tennis courts, ornamental gardens and even a pitch-and-putt. Happy days Breezy and fun, in Creighton Road it’s June all year round. This is a home for basking in the sunshine, where birds flutter from hand-blocked wallpaper, petals seem to tumble from embroidered cushions, drums beat and a piano tinkles its cheerful tune. If you’re feeling inspired take your pad and pencil to the artist’s studio, or venture out to join young families over cappuccinos in a nearby café. You’ll find you’re surrounded by parks, or you might prefer to take a book from the well-stocked shelves and drowse away the afternoon in the pavilion at the bottom of your garden instead. Smiley face Your hostess has worked as a knitwear designer, and it is her creative spirit that shaped Creighton Road. She and your sports consultant host completely remodelled this home for their young family, adding an extension and the attic’s stunning master bedroom. The stylish kitchen on the lower ground floor is a fine example of a family friendly home with its long, banquet style dining table in the centre. The table has a long bench running along one side and can seat up to 8 people. In addition there is a modern, American style double Fridge/Freezer, dishwasher, microwave and oven and hob – everything you need to create culinary feasts in the evenings. A sofa rests at the far end of the room where people can relax before dinner but still keep the chef company! Full length glass sliding doors lead out to the huge back garden and the studio. The living room is a very elegant and bright space with a fireplace. The décor is neutral but classic with a mix of modern and antique furniture. An Italian antique chandelier hangs from the ceiling above to add a touch of luxury and elegance. There is a small dining area at the back of the living room with a round table and chairs for two people. The wooden floorboards add a very rustic feel and the Victorian tiled fireplace enhances this. The huge triple sash windows ensure that this space keeps the natural light streaming through. Upstairs to the first floor you will discover the first of two single rooms. This bed can be converted to a double if needed and there is a separate W.C. for convenience. The next bedroom is a great sized double room with a Victorian fireplace, polished wooden floors and space for a cot if needed. The second single room is huge and could definitely fit an additional bed if requested (ask us about this at the time of booking so we can set this up for you). Another period fireplace and wide sash windows enhance the traditional elements of this home and the pretty day bed is the perfect space to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The family bathroom has a roll-top bath with shower attachment and vintage style W.C. and hand wash basin. Up a further set of stairs there is another double room. This room is exquisite with beautifully hand painted floral designs covering the walls and matching upholstery. The room is light and airy and has a very ‘country house’ feel to it. There is a spare mattress under the bed if required for an additional guest. The final double room is at the very top of the house and has a double bed, en-suite shower room and pretty balcony. The garden stretches out of the back of the house a considerable way and has a large patio area and a smaller lawn area at the back – this is where you’ll find the studio room, nestled among the roses and various fruit trees - apple, damson, pear and mulberry. Additional amenities include: hob, normal TV, desk, plates and cutlery, ironing board, glasses. The security deposit is refundable at the end of the stay. The balcony has a wood surround and lots of plants making it feel like a small, exotic hideaway from the rest of the city. The en-suite has stylish white brick style tiles all over and a vintage look ‘rainfall’ shower head with additional shower attachment below.

The SpaceMy flat has dark wooden floor except in the bedroom where I have cream carpet. The bedroom has a double bed (160cm) and the living room has a comfortable double bed sofa (180cm). The kitchen has a microwave, toaster, kettle and cooking supplies but no dish washer. This is my primary home so it is very 'personalised' with photos and memories from all my travels etc, so if you want a more neutral interior, this might not be the place for you. I provide with bed linens, towels, washing liquid, shampoo and body wash- less for you to pack:-) And please feel free to have a cup of tea/coffee and some cereals whenever you want. I have free WiFi internet, a washing machine but no dish washer. I think you will love my place! W E L C O M E ! André Guest AccessHere's a site showing my flat in virtual view. Getting AroundThe closest tube is Westborne Park which is also about 8-10 minutes walk away. Bus 23 takes you right from my house into Oxford street's busy shopping district in about 30 minutes (buses are slow in London...). One of UK's biggest shopping malls, Westfield, is 3 tube stops away. Other Things to NoteI have hosted models from all over the world through a model agency and I have also done very successful 'home exchanges' in Barcelona, Nice, Rio, Mallorca and Hawaii. I love hosting people making sure they feel at home in 'my' city (although I'm actually Swedish).
