Renovated in 2006, the open plan kitchen dining/ living area features loads of natural light, with bi-fold doors opening to a covered deck and level garden with outdoor shower. There is also a garage with rear-lane access
Upstairs are the master bedroom (queen bed + walk in wardrobe), plus a child room (single bed) and a bathroom with shower, vanity & toilet
Downstairs you will find another child room (1 single + trundle bed), plus a twin or king room, a laundry, and a spacious main bathroom featuring a vanity, toilet, bath, and separate walk-in shower.
Existing bedding sleeps 7. A mattress can be provided for 1 additional child (sharing the master bedroom). There is room for a BYO travel cot. Guest AccessGuests will have the house to themselves, with access to laundry, fully equipped kitchen & stocked pantry, wifi, 40" TV, Xbox & games, lots of toys & books & games, garage, BBQ (connected to main gas), garden, as well as sporting equipment such as surf & boogie boards, bikes, balls, skateboards, scooters, tennis rackets etc. Please let me know the ages of the children so we can arrange for a high chair as well as age-appropriate toys Interaction with GuestsA contact number will be provided for emergencies, and there will be a folder with recommendations, things to do, manuals etc The NeighborhoodThe house is 1 street from North Steyne Surf Beach and is close to cafes, restaurants, boutique shops, and a large Harris Farm fruit & veg market (which also sells delicatessen, dairy, dried goods and meat).
Nearby you will find plenty of playgrounds and outdoor activities such as swimming (with a choice of ocean, ocean pool, or Manly Swimming Pool), surfing, SUP (stand up paddle) boarding, rollerblading/ bike hire, and volleyball. On the harbour side additional activities include sailing and kayaking.
The house is a short & easy stroll to Manly Lagoon, with a large enclosed playground (ages 1-5), lots of grass to kick a ball around, bike tracks to skate/ scoot/ bike, outdoor exercise equipment, and outdoor barbecues for a picnic. Across the road from the lagoon are tennis courts and a skate ramp.
Manly Village and the Corso (centre of Manly) are an easy walk (10-15 mins).
Make sure to check out the beautiful ocean and harbour beaches in the local area (2 of them voted in Australia's Top Ten on TripAdvisor), Manly Waterworks, North Head Sanctuary, Quarantine Station, and Manly Sealife Sanctuary.
For keen walkers, there are stunning coastal walks on offer including the scenic Manly to Spit Bridge walk.
For those wanting a taste of the iconic Australian beach lifestyle, Manly won't disappoint! It has plenty of cafes, trendy bars and award winning restaurants to choose from, as well as boutique shops, galleries, and laneway markets. Getting AroundThe easiest - and most beautiful way - to get to and from Manly is by ferry from Circular Quay (near the Opera House).
Manly Wharf is about 15 minutes walk from our house, with frequent services to take you to the city or tourist attractions such as Watsons Bay and Taronga Zoo. From Circular Quay, train services will take you straight to the airport or any train station (transfer at Central Station for trains to suburbs or interstate).
Getting around Manly is best done on foot or bike but there are car parks in the centre of Manly that offer 2 hours free parking. Bus stops are also nearby. Other Things to NoteWe offer free wifi, and a folder with instructions and things to do will be available when you check in
