The SpaceIt's a cozy little miners cabin that has been remodeled and updated on the inside with modern electric appliances and HDTV's. It has a pellet stove to keep you warm on those chilly nights, and a swamp cooler to help keep you cool on those warmer days. Take a rest on the front porch, have a beverage, relax, and let the mellow pace of Randsburg take over. Writers retreat. Guest AccessThe cabin is a stand alone cabin and you have exclusive access to the entire cabin. We have not finished the small loft yet, so please refrain from climbing up there. We hope to have it done soon and create a fun & interesting space for extra guests or teens in the future. Interaction with GuestsI am available by cell phone any time during your stay. Please do not hesitate to call with any questions or concerns. My neighbors Marty & Deb across the street are full time residents and are available to help with any questions regarding the cabin or local activities. The NeighborhoodRandsburg is an Historic Mining town, also referred to as a "Living Ghost Town". There is a General Store, a couple of Saloons, and other local businesses. Everything but "The Joint" Saloon will usually close up by dark so plan on either, eating early, or bringing food to prepare at the cabin. There are still about 40-50 residents who continue to live here on a full time basis. The neighborhood is really very quiet at night. In the day there can be allot going on, but at night, things slow down. Go for a walk, take in the town. Getting AroundRandsburg is located 1 mile off Highway 395, but I'm unaware of any public transportation if there is any. Other Things to NoteThere are lot's of off road vehicles in town during some weekends as it is a popular destination for riding. The cabin is far enough of the main street so as not to be impacted if this isn't your thing, yet close enough for a walk up to the main street if you'd like to check it out. At night it's a very quiet scene as most of the off road riders head back to their camps.
