The SpaceHuge upstairs master bedroom that looks out to spectacular views. A peaceful haven, just a 40 metre walk down our right-of-way to the beach. Long flat beach allowing you to walk in either direction for a very long way! All day sun, winter and summer. The house is on a flat section and there is easy access ( you can drive right to the front door). Exquisite sunsets as the sun sets on the horizon for most of the year.
The house is very well equipped- great little kitchen, dining table and chairs, sofas, large master bedroom with comfortable queen bed, small bunkroom with 2 sets of bunks ( very comfortable), small bathroom with deep bath/shower, seperate laundry with washing machine and dryer.
You are welcome to use everything we use.. the books, games, dvds, petanque, bikes, kayaks, trampoline, barbecue .
This house is ideal for a couple because the upstairs master bedroom is spacious, comfortable and has wonderful views. The bunkroom downstairs is small and is really only suitable for young children. Guest AccessEverything in the house, laundry and garage can be used by guests. The bach ( NZ word for a beach house, and pronounced 'batch'!) is well equipped with everything you might need. Interaction with GuestsUsually I do not meet guests who stay just a few days but I send them a document which is very clear about access and all the info about the house. I have a very good instruction procedure which allows stress free access and arrival at the house. In the last 4 years over 100 people have rented the house.
I really enjoy helping overseas guests with their travel questions and love recommending things to do. The NeighborhoodRaumati Beach has a mix of permanent residences and holiday baches.
It is close to the capital city, Wellington, but far enough away to feel you are relaxed and by the beach and on holiday.
Close by are shops, cafes, restaurants, a skate board park, swimming pool, Art Galleries, golf courses, Te Horo Lavender Farm, Kapiti Olives, Nga Manu Nature Reserve, Kapiti Island ( a bird sanctuary), gliding at Paraparaumu airport.
The large supermarket and shopping complex is not far and can be accessed by bike, by bus (for those guests who do not have a car) Getting AroundParaparaumu Airport is very close and would be just a 5 minute taxi trip to the house.
Travellers who arrive at Weliington Airport could either hire a car or get a bus to the main railway station and then a train to Paraparaumu ( trains run hourly). A Raumati Beach bus would bring you to Wharemauku Road and then it is a 2 minute walk to the house.
Most people arrive at the house by car. From Wellington you drive 45 minutes north on State Highway 1 and turn off at Raumati Beach. The bach is mid-way between Paraparaumu Beach and Raumati Beach and close to the sea ( the Tasman Sea)
There is a shuttle service from Wellington Airport which would meet you and deliver you straight to the house ( Kapiti Shuttles) Recently a family of 4 stayed and the shuttle cost $120 from Wellington airport to our bach at Raumati.
The house is surrounded by grass and there is plenty of parking right next to the house. Other Things to NoteTwo basic bikes, 2 sea kayaks, beach games, petanque, trampoline,
barbecue are all at the house.
