    This contemporary luxury camping cottage in Queensland, Australia, can accommodate up to four guests and features a queen-size bed, as well as a double futon in the loft that is accessed by a ship's ladder and a double pull-out sofa bed by the fire. All linen is provided.The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas cook top with wok burner, a fan-forced electric oven and grill, a microwave, a health grill, an electric frying pan, a kettle, and a toaster. There is also a television with a DVD player and DVDs, as well as a stereo with a radio, a CD player, an iPod dock, magazines, books, and cassettes.When it gets cool at night, as it often does because of the elevation, guests can close the doors and curl up in front of a wood fire with a hot drink or a glass of wine. When the days are warm, open the house up and let the breezes cooled by the lake refresh you. This is a non-smoking cottage.Outside, there are decks overhanging the lake and walls of bi-fold doors that fully open onto the decks. In addition, there is a campfire on the beach beside the cottage that is perfect for barbecuing something delicious or just toasting marshmallows.

    The SpaceThis cosy cabin was two rooms from a converted mining site accommodation, with the insulated room being about 3m x 4.8m in size (or 10 x 16 feet) with a queen sized bed, and chairs etc. We have a very scenic property with great views of the district from the top of the Great Dividing Range. We are fairly central between Kingaroy and Toowoomba (about 75 km, or 55-60 minutes drive to each), or half an hour to Oakey, Jondaryan, Crows Nest and Yarraman, and 45-50 minutes to Dalby and the Bunya Mountains, Nanango and Blackbutt. Guest AccessAccess to the bathroom, toilet, laundry, lounge and large kitchen available, but are all shared with our family. Interaction with GuestsWe can help guests with ideas on local attractions, or leave them to themselves as they wish. They are welcome to walk around the farm if they wish to. The Neighborhood"Oakhurst" is located just 10 minutes from Toogoolawah, 15 minutes from Esk, or just 1.5 hours from Brisbane. It is a great area to either relax or explore the Somerset region. Even though we are on 50 acres, we do have neighbors and excessively loud music is not permitted. Reasonable volume campfire music is fine. Getting AroundThere is no public transport in this area. Other Things to NoteDogs may be allowed on request, however we do have ducks and chickens roaming the yard ! Please note the Irish Pub is not licensed and does not sell anything. It is a private bar that you are welcome to BYO and use. Behind the Irish Pub is a substantial kitchen with oven, burners, fridge, sink and all basic utensils, crockery and cutlery. We have decorated the 'Blue Lagoon' suite in blue against whites – This is the colour of peace and infinity. It is regarded as being a cool colour, and has a relaxing effect. Bedside lamps and the standard lamp in the living area all have dimmers fitted, giving a soft intimate light. The 'Blue Lagoon' is a short walk from the parking area with its own private access, and includes a very large and separate fenced garden area for outside relaxation. The Retreat buildings. which include only three suites, are 50 to 100 metres from our main house, so you will have a completely private space with no intrusions whatsoever - unless you ask for our assistance ;) Two-night minimum stay. THREE-DAY MINIMUM on HOLIDAY WEEKENDS, and FIVE DAY MINIMUM over CHRISTMAS. A $20.00 cleaning fee will be charged per each stay. We are a Green Eco-sustainable establishment. We care about the environment, and want our accommodation to be as Eco-friendly as possible. Environmentally friendly cleaning products are used. We ask our guests to consider using fewer towels during their stay and not requesting a sheet change unless your stay is longer than a week. We use recycled furniture in the way of antiques when suitable, and even our buildings themselves are recycled, having been resurrected and shifted to our property, then fitted out purposefully for our Retreat. During your stay you will find Eco low wattage lights; separated bins for waste and compost, and natural soaps. All water is supplied via Rain Water Tanks, so we ask you to be especially conservative and not to waste this precious and pure liquid! Our focus is on the environment and nature around us. Based on a 40 acre rural property in the peaceful countryside of the Brisbane Valley, the setting is grassland and trees, filled with a multitude of wildlife, from birds to mammals and insects. Our guests will be delighted with our nature reserve location - we are proudly registered with the Wildlife Land Trust and Land for Wildlife, respectively, with over 75 species of birds and animals – and still growing! Guests in all rooms can choose to be fully self-contained if that is their choice – or alternatively we will cater to your needs allowing you the luxury to fully relax and unwind. A commercial standard stainless steel kitchen is centrally located to all rooms, meaning you can order from us a cappuccino, a latte, or a short or long black, a glass of delicious cold-pressed juice, or perhaps a scrumptious smoothie. A timber-decked private courtyard is provided for each suite, giving a relaxing peaceful area to sit and watch the kangaroos at sunset. Guest AccessGuests have full sole access to their fully self-contained Studio Villa and surrounding private garden area, that includes a large deck on the front from where you are able to sit in the casual cane outdoor lounge suite and watch the beauty of nature all around you. Light your own Chimenea in the evenings and relax in the calm beauty of the starry night skies. Step out into your private garden space and light the Fire-Pit - a wonderful atmosphere at any time - summer or winter; day or night! Every visitor to our property is required to complete a waiver & release form as a requirement of our insurance company. ~ Farms can be dangerous. It is essential that ALL visitors remain within the set paths and do not wander off to view other areas of the farm. Interaction with GuestsWe meet and greet our guests to welcome them into their abode and show them around, as well as to answer any questions about the local area, sharing local tips on where to go and where to eat if they choose to dine out. Famous for fun, the drop zone hosts thousands of national and international skydivers and features the biennial Equinox skydive and music festival each alternate October. Year round you can learn sport parachuting or thrill to a tandem skydive. The skydivers and their planes are frequently sighted as they drop just beyond the horizon of our 'Peregrine Park' property. Nearby Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield attracts flight enthusiasts with an interest in vintage, ultralight and military aircraft. The open day and fly-in each May is a popular event drawing aeronauts from across Australia. Back on terra firma visitors can walk, horse ride or bicycle the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail south to Esk or north to Harlin, where railway buffs will be interested in the Y turn and Yimbun tunnel. In town you will enjoy the heritage value of the quirky Alexandra Hall that shows movies every Saturday, complete with canvas sling-back chairs. You can also visit the railway station, now converted to an history museum providing local heritage and genealogy information, or drive by the unique architecture of the town’s wooden churches. The historic Nestle Condensery building, currently undergoing conversion into a regional art gallery, will open in late 2015 and highlight local, national and international exhibits. Toogoolawah is the principle commercial centre servicing the northern part of the Shire. The town boasts three hotels, a motel, swimming pool, caravan park, public library, golf course and a lawn bowls rink, ambulance, police station, magistrates courts, and medical services. Further afield in the Somerset Shire .... Upper Brisbane Valley Valley of the Lakes Along with the breathtaking scenery, visitors can enjoy the rugged mountain ranges on the eastern slopes of the Great Divide, native bushlands, meandering rivers, hidden valleys, ploughed farmland and the towns and localities of Esk, Fernvale, Glamorgan Vale, Linville, Lowood, Toogoolawah, Kilcoy and Wivenhoe Pocket. Recreational activities in this Somerset region include: * fishing – the Shire boasts 3 well stocked freshwater lakes (fishing licence required) * picnic and camping facilities can be found at Lake Somerset, Wivenhoe and Atkinson Dams. * aquatic activities – there is powerboat access for the skiing enthusiasts at both Lake Somerset and Lake Atkinson. * arts, crafts and markets – plenty of opportunities for viewing and purchasing arts and crafts, and enjoying local produce from shops and markets. * adventure – for those who are more adventurous at heart, you can enjoy horse riding overlooking Lake Wivenhoe and spend the night under the stars at a stockman’s camp, join a camel safari, or tandem skydive. * history abounds in the region. There is a bus service that departs from the airport, but it is a lengthy trip, so your own transport is far more suitable. Once on our property, the small township of Toogoolawah is only around 1.5 km away. Population — At the 2006 census, Toogoolawah had a population of 961. We also provide additional deluxe cellular organic Cotton Blankets for use either as an extra blanket on the bed on cold nights, or to replace the beautifully light-weight Mulberry Silk Doona on hot summer nights. No additional guests, nor children, can be accommodated in this suite. Famous for fun, the drop zone hosts thousands of national and international skydivers and features the biennial Equinox skydive and music festival each alternate October. Year round you can learn sport parachuting or thrill to a tandem skydive. The skydivers and their planes are frequently sighted as they drop just beyond the horizon of our 'Peregrine Park' property. Getting AroundWe would recommend the use of a hire car if you are flying into Brisbane, as having a car will enable you to check out some lovely locations we will share with you. There is a bus service that departs from the airport, but it is a lengthy trip, so your own transport is far more suitable. Once on our property, the small township of Toogoolawah is only around 1.5 km away. Population — At the 2006 census, Toogoolawah had a population of 961.             The SpaceIf you are looking for peace and quiet and all the privacy you need, then here it is. It is a delightful drive along the New England highway between Toowoomba and our retreat. We have a beautiful 20 acre property which is our rural getaway from the rat race. We have lots of gum trees and wildlife. Our home is spacious, with polished timber floors and large windows and verandahs to bring the outdoors up close and personal. Why not enjoy a lovely walk through our own newly planted rainforest? Or sit on the back verandah relaxing? Or even pick some fresh fruit from the orchard? No city noise, no traffic just sounds of the bush and the bright stars at night make this a perfect hideaway from busy life. Our homely environment is very inviting. We invite you to share it with us. Because we are off the beaten track, if you arrive after sundown please be aware there are no street lights :) Guest AccessGuests are welcome to share our kitchen and laundry facilities with us. Full use of the barbecue and Wi-Fi is available free of charge. Guests are most welcome to explore our property, including our garden, although it is suffering of late due to the dry weather and lack of time!! We are happy to put a mattress on the floor for a child if needed. An evening meal can be provided if requested for a small charge, although we would like 24 hours notice please. You are welcome to use our stove, fridge, microwave etc and of course watch our TV if desired. Interaction with GuestsWe will meet you and make you feel most welcome. The NeighborhoodWe love the feel of the bush, being away from the hustle and bustle of city life, yet close enough to enjoy that too if wishing to head to Toowoomba just 30 mins away, Brisbane is 2 hours or the Gold or Sunshine Coast just 2.5 hours away. See the native wildlife, look at the stars, watch the sun setting over the horizon. We are only minutes away from the local Visitor information centre in Hampton, 10 mins from the small village of Crows Nest and Bullocky's Rest and only 15 mins drive from the lovely Ravensbourne rainforest. The local pubs, one at Crows Nest and the other at Cabarlah put on a wholesome meal or you are welcome to cook your own dinner in our kitchen. We provide your breakfast. Getting AroundThere is lots of room to park your vehicle, although it wont be under cover. No public transport available, sorry. If you are arriving after dark, our entrance can be a bit daunting as there are no street lights!! A fact we actually like!! We are really in the bush out here, so please once you park your car near the house, please wander down to our front steps nearbye and we will welcome you and make you feel at home. Other Things to NoteWe have chooks and sheep to add to our family! Children are most welcome if you are happy for a mattress to be placed on the floor:)

Cloudlake is an organic property situated in a hidden valley at 2100 feet about 5 mins away from Ravensbourne National Park and 15 minutes away from Lakes Perseverance and Cressbrook. You can swim at Cloudlake - the water is clear, fresh and inviting or take out the 16 foot Canadian canoe onto the lake for a paddle. We have English heritage Wiltshire Horn Sheep here, ducks, guinea fowl and chickens as well as two wonderful dogs - the famous Dudley, a cute little red Staffy and Tehya, an Italian Maremma.             The SpaceThe farm is a genuine working property. Farmyard area close to accommodations is the home to the farm animals that guests can help care for during activities. Property ideal for bushwalking and birdwatching. Interaction with GuestsFarm activities are always supervised. 2 hrs morning and 1.5hrs afternoon. The NeighborhoodUnique Bunya Mountains National Park is on our doorstep, just 23kms from the farm gate. There is excellent horse trail riding off-farm just 35mins drive away.
