I live in Ashgrove, a lovely suburb very close to the City, with my young son Ruben. We enjoy gardening, movies, cooking and getting out and about in our lovely city. The house has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, homestay guests have their own ensuite bathroom. We have a nice verandah to enjoy the lush green surroundings. The house is across the road from the bus to the city, you will be there in 15 minutes. We also live around the corner from two lovely parks and the local creek with beautiful walking tracks. Major banks and shopping centres are just 5 minutes away. You will love the central location!

Our family live in. Brisbane, South East Queensland, in a suburb called Red Hill. What I love about this house, your room, and the location are as follows: 1. This house It is a traditional Wooden house called Queenslander which has been fully renovated three years ago into a beautiful 4 bedrooms and 3 bathroom house. It has a large kitchen-dining area that opens to a living room. Our family consist of me and my husband, Daniel, a teenager, and two toddlers, who very well mannered. My husband is a chef, and I am a good cook, so food in this house is always lovely and tasty. Our family is still young and we both love company and chat over a beer or coffees. We love to share experiences and stories. We loves movies, and video games and karaokes. We have whole heaps of DVDs that are available to lend. We also likes going to parks, especially the one with playgrounds, and have BBQ. 2. Your room The room is fabulous! It it designed with its own entrance from outside (so you don't have to go through the front door if you have late nights), and also from inside. It has a large modern ensuite with large vanity, window, shower room and toilet inside. The room has a small window, king single bed with study table, large mirrored wardrobe and completed with a tv cabinet with digital set top-box and a DVD player and a luxury air-condition. 3. Locations This house is nothing but locations, locations, locations!!! Less than a minute to walk to the bus stop that will bring you straight to either train station or the city. Less than 2km to Brisbane CBD. Need a feed? If you go up the road, it will lead you to Less than 5minutes walk to local shop (post office, 7-11, late open chemist and take-away restaurant). If you go down the road, it will lead you to the Urban Village Kelvin Grove less than 7minutes, with big-chain supermarket, and a long road of restaurants and cafés. Also, every Saturday morning, there's a markets being held there. It is also only 7 minutes walk to the famous nightclub Normanby Hotel. Who needs a taxi if you live here. The Urban village Kelvin Grove is also part of the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) area. It is only less then 10 minutes walk to Kelvin Grove State College too.

The SpaceI share my place with a lively border collie-cross kelpie, Abby. She loves humans, chasing a ball is her idea of heaven and is a mainly outside dog (allowed only downstairs when there is someone at home). She may be a little protective of the house but strangers soon become her best friends, when they know her name and treat her with something yummy. My two-level townhouse is in Red Hill about 10 minutes bus trip to the CBD. The complex was built in the 80's so there is a lot of privacy, tall trees, birds and breezes. On the top floor, there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. On the ground floor: kitchen, dining and living rooms, laundry and the guest toilet. Large glass door leads to a patio, with a sitting area, hammock and a gate to a shared pool. The guest bedroom has a comfortable double bed, so although it can sleep two, I would not recommend it for longer stays for more than one person. There are fly screens, a ceiling fan, built-in wardrobe and a set of drawers which opens up into a desk. The guest bathroom has the original tiles but the shower has been replaced. There is a cupboard for your toiletries. I provide towels and fresh bedlinen. Kitchen has a gas stove with fan-forced oven, microwave oven and a dishwasher. During your stay you are welcome to use the pots and dishes, I just ask that you put them away after use. I will provide some basics for the guest: milk, bread, peanut butter, some fruit. There will be tea and coffee as well. There is a small TV - I do not use it that much, and a stereo. You are welcome to use those, as well as wifi for the internet. Although the immediate area is quite suburban, there is a short walk to shops in Ashgrove or Newmarket and the lovely Paddington is only few blocks away. There you can enjoy various cafes, boutiques and art galleries. The Kelvin Grove QUT campus is about 20 minutes walk away. Bus to the city and Roma St Transit Centre is just up the road from the complex. If you happen to have a car you can park it under spare car port. Guest AccessKitchen, laundry, shared pool, carport.
