The SpaceWelcome! This apartment will suit a short term eco-conscious traveller and visitor to Sydney. The sofa futon in the living room, which is ideal for ONE person (no couple). Not recommended for light sleepers! I live in a modern 2 bedroom apartment in Redfern (5 minute walk to Central Station (city centre), Redfern station, close to shopping centre, pubs, restaurants, amenities). Comes with a fully equipped gym and pool - which is an added bonus so you can unwind and have a work out during your stay. There is also a vegetable/herb garden on the Rooftop, which you are welcome to take when cooking. It is next to a four-lane road and sometimes can be noisy (although it quietens down at night). FYI, the average price for a shared dorm style of 8 in Bounce Hotel next to Central Station is $49 per night. When booking, please remember: 1. It's a couch and not a room (no privacy) 2. Let me know your sleeping hours as my computer is next to the kitchen area - if you are a very light sleeper, please book the room instead. 3. There are car and train noises from the balcony - some people have no issues with it and some do. 4. In summer, we do some mosquitos but have coils to ward it off. 5. The sofa futon is best suited for those below 6 foot 2. 6. If you have any issues, please tell me as I can't read minds, and would prefer you to ask than for you to have a bad stay. 7. This is NOT a hotel - so expect you to clean up after yourselves, wash your dishes, and keep the place clean. 8. For guests with long hair, please be reminded to clean the space. Ideally this would suit: 1. Low key 2. Non-fussy 3. Easy going & independant 4. Down to earth 5. Eco-friendly 6. Sustainability-minded traveller 7. Non-smoker and mature traveller who is sensible and clean up after themselves Just a reminder, this is NOT a hotel. I am deliberately charging a low price, as I am consciously avoiding guests with high, unrealistic expectations and OCD types. A bit about the area Redfern: traditionally, it has been known for being a shady area, but in the past 10 year has seen major changes and gentrification. These days, its a hip place with lot of trendy bars, cafes, parks but still retaining its affordability in price. There is an cheap Chinese vegetable grocer, Vietnamese bread shop, local independent grocery store and organic cafes nearby. If you are booking with me, please write more about yourself, the reason you're visiting Sydney and add a picture of yourself too. I'd like to know who I'm sharing my space with. It will be nice if you treat the house like your own. Please print a map from (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) map, if you're coming by taxi or train to ensure you don't get lost. VIA TAXI: Get dropped off at Renwick St. You will spot the entrance via the glass doors with "Signature Apartments". Approx cost is $30. VIA TRAIN: The nearest stop is Redfern station. After coming out of station, turn right until you hit Regent St, then take Wells St, and then left to Renwick St. Entrance is mid way on Renwick St. Train far is $16.50. Guest AccessWIFI: Brooklyn Password: newyorkcity Interaction with GuestsThe kind of guests I'm looking for are low-key, non fussy/pedantic and easy going people. Someone who adheres to sustainable practices and eco-friendly. Other Things to NoteThe building can be hard to find, so please ensure you print a map and know where you're going. Check out the photos on the profile, as it has photos of the building and the exact location.

The SpaceThe apartment is on the top floor facing west over Redfern station. It is renovated to a high standard with bamboo floors, organic paint, fully tiled bathrooms and a convenient ‘galley’ kitchen. Both bedrooms are huge with large openable skylights. Wifi reaches throughout the apartment. Guest AccessYou’ll have your own large bedroom and sole use of the main bathroom. The bedroom has new hotel-quality sheets and pillows, plenty of storage space and a super-quiet ceiling fan, as well as the skylight. There’s a side-table, an alarm clock (in case you’re in Sydney for work) and travel plug adaptors, as well as guidebooks and tourist info. You'll be able to access the pool, gym and sauna as well as outdoor seating on the interior balcony overlooking the pool. Interaction with GuestsI hope to meet you on your arrival to answer any questions and help you get settled in. After that, it's really up to you and how busy I am. I generally leave for work around 7-7.30am in the morning and am out until at least early evening so you will have the place to yourself most of the time. When I’m away for work or travel, the whole apartment is available for rent. The NeighborhoodIs the ‘hippest’ neighbourhood in Sydney right now. There are five small bars within five minutes walk of the building, not to mention lots of good cafes and new restaurants opening every week. There are lovely parks nearby (and an awesome outdoor 50m pool in Prince Alfred Park, 12 minutes walk away) and two yoga studios within 10 minutes walk. On Saturday mornings foodies come from around Sydney to the Eveleigh market for fresh produce and yummy brunch (from pho to crepes to bacon and egg rolls). Another renowned local attraction is the White Rabbit Gallery - an amazing private modern Chinese art collection open free to the public, also ten minutes walk away in Chippendale. You’re also only a short walk to Surry Hills - Sydney’s food mecca and home to the Belvior Street theatre - where Cate Blanchett and Hugo Weaving started their careers. Newtown - which used to be a gritty student suburb - is a few minutes walk in the other direction and has a numerous clothes, food and other shopping attractions. Glebe, Sydney Uni, UTS and Centennial Park are also nearby and it’s only just over half an hour to the beach via a train to Bondi Junction. Getting AroundThe location is awesome - you can be on a train or bus in three minutes or simply wander a couple minutes more to the neighbourhood's funky bars and cafes. Platform ten of Redfern station ends directly opposite the Watertower - maybe 20 metres from the entrance to the building. Almost all trains stop at Redfern Station - and you’re only one stop from Central (where all trains, including the airport line) stop. There are also a few bus routes that run through Redfern and stop near the station. Other Things to NoteThere is a $125 fee to replace the security key if you lose it.

The SpaceIn the past four years, I have welcomed people from Saudi Arabia, Trinidad and Tobago, Sri Lanka, Iran, Finland, Canada, South Korea, Singapore, The USA, Russia, Malaysia, The Netherlands, India, Norway, New Zealand, The United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Spain, Indonesia, Germany, Morocco, Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales, Brazil, Egypt, Denmark, Hong Kong and mainland China, France, Switzerland, Japan, Dubai, Mexico, East Timor, South Africa, Austria, Thailand, Belgium and Argentina! You are welcome to stay at my apartment no matter what country you are from. I have hosted Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Christians, Buddhists, atheists and probably other faiths. Very GLBTI-friendly. Very straight-friendly too! All have been welcomed, and everyone always will be at my place. During these times when the world is on edge, travel is a wonderful way for people to connect, and for strangers to become trusted friends. Whoever you are, this can be your home in Sydney. There is secure undercover parking available. I own two apartments on the same street, and I make this available for either apartment to book . If you are driving to Sydney or planning on booking a rental car, please let me know so I can reserve the parking for you and your family, but please be aware that this MUST BE CHECKED in advance. From the pictures of the bedroom, it's hard to gauge just how big that bed is. Trust me, it really is the biggest bed I have ever seen. It's 230cm x 205cm or 90.5" x 81". Huge and comfortable. This is a well-situated, modern apartment, just 12 minutes from Central Station (or five from Redfern Station). The city centre is on your doorstep, and proximity to transport means that the whole of Sydney is easily accessible. The Eastern Suburbs line goes through Redfern, so Bondi Station and the Eastern Suburbs are about 16 minutes away. Bondi and Tamarama Beach are a further 15 minutes by bus from the the station. It's a great city - and this is a great spot to explore it from. The building is six years old, and has lifts, a pool and a gym. The balcony looks westwards, and you can see the towers of the University of Sydney. From the rooftop herb and flower garden, you can watch the sun set over the city to the immediate north. The proximity to the city is one of the key reasons why people choose my apartment, but that does mean there is noise to consider. I have double glazing and heavy drapes which cut out 90% of it and you can read in the comments from guests how calm and welcoming they find the space. But if you are very sensitive to noise, I would prefer that you book my other apartment rather than have a less than stellar experience. But look to the comments from others – people rave about this apartment. The normal check in is 10am and checkout is 8am. This is to allow for cleaning before new guests arrive - but please note that if it is just me here the night before, you can check in as earlier. Handy for early morning arrivals. Same for departure time. I'll be as flexible as I can. I offer free secure storage of bags if you do are checking out in the morning but still have time to sse the town before an early flight. Similarly, as many flight get into Sydney at 7am, people clearing customs and getting into town at 8 are welcome to drop their bags while the cleaner makes it ready for you, and then grab a local breakfast. Please just ask! Airbnb is about affordable travel not cheap accommodation. It's a community built on trust, local knowledge, a common interest in travel and a common believe that staying in someone's own home offers a different and superior experience when travelling. Because of this - and the huge costs of Sydney real estate - I am not able to discount. Ministers, atheists, IT professionals, professional skiers, professional yachtswomen and yachtsmen, artists, social workers, jewellers, accountants, people on their 10th wedding anniversary, 25th wedding anniversary, gay couples, single parents, toddlers, teenagers, film makers, family reunions, old-friend reunions, nurses, business owners, builders, retirees taking a whole year off to enjoy each other's company as they travel the world. Not a bad word from any of them, not a bad word about any of them. The world which comes through your door as an Airbnb host makes my heart soar. Guest AccessLiving Room: LCD TV & DVD/BluRay with good selection of quality movies Hi speed wireless Wifi Tastefully & comfortably furnished Large King Furniture chaise longue style sofa for comfortable relaxing and viewing Kitchen: Dishwasher Fridge/Freezer Microwave Oven/grill Espresso machine Crockery, cutlery, utensils, pots, pans etc. Bedroom: Hotel quality bed, bigger than a King size, with deep, comfortable latex mattress Linen, pillows and towels included Large built-in wardrobe with drawers available for my guests Bathroom: Full bath, and shower Towels included Hair dryer Laundry: Washing Machine and Dryer Clothes rack Iron and ironing board Interaction with GuestsThe apartment is offered in its entirety. You have the whole place to yourselves! Keys are left in a secure safe for guests who arrive at different times in case my cleaner and I are not around. I try and meet all of my guests at some stage of their stay, as I feel that is is an important aspect of being a host. As well as providing an apartment, I want to welcome you to my city. The NeighborhoodProximity to the city! You cannot beat the neighbourhood which abut the Downtown for convenience, and Redfern Station is one of the best for getting EVERYWHERE in Sydney. I love the history, the architecture, the mix of people from every imaginable culture who live side by side on this very modern Sydney village. Redfern is one of the oldest areas in Sydney, and yet this place is so quiet considering how close it is to the middle of Sydney. It's a mix of 19th century terrace houses, conversions and new apartment developments. The area was down-at-heels for years (think New York's Lower East Side), but its proximity to the city and intact history has seen it blossom into a new, funky area (wall to wall retro furniture shops and new small bars) in the last 10 years. The city centre is on your doorstep, and two major railways stations within a five minute walk means that the whole of Sydney is easily accessible. The Eastern Suburbs line goes through Redfern, so Bondi Station and the Eastern Suburbs are about 16 minutes away. Bondi and Tamarama Beach are a further 15 minutes by bus from the station. It's a great city - and this is a great spot to explore it from. In 10 minutes, you are in the CBD, 20 minutes to Darling Harbour, 50 minute comfortable stroll along George St to the Harbour Bridge (I never get tired of riding across that!) or The Sydney Opera House (up there with Empire State, Big Ben, and the Eiffel Tower as amazing architecture which defines a city!) So close to everything, and yet so quiet and peaceful! Getting AroundIn 10 minutes, you are in the CBD, 20 minutes to Darling Harbour, 50 minute comfortable stroll along George St to the Harbour Bridge (I never get tired of riding across that!) or The Sydney Opera House (up there with Empire State, Big Ben, and the Eiffel Tower as amazing architecture which defines a city!) Free parking is on offer, but please ask BEFORE BOOKING, as I share between two apartments. If no one has already requested it, it is yours at no further cost! Other Things to NoteI also provide tea, coffee (with your own espresso machine), cereal and fresh milk for your breakfast. Please cook! The pantry is also well stocked with spices, rice and pasta, oils, tinned tomatoes etc. I am happy to make this available on an honesty system - feel free to help yourself but please replace what you use. No need to replace oils, spices etc if you use the last of the container. Just leave me a note of what to stock up on again! I want to make your stay effortless.

And my first Belgians have just booked, just as I have booked my first holiday to Belgium :) You are welcome to stay at my apartment no matter what country you are from. I have hosted Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Christians, Buddhists, atheists and probably other faiths. All have been welcomed, and everyone always will be at my place. Very GLBTI-friendly. I am offering a huge, stylish apartment on a quiet street, 10 minutes walk to Central Station or just five to Redfern Station. It is literally four blocks to town. This is the size and quality of a suite in a high quality hotel for the price of an average room out of the city. Unparalleled quality and value. If the dates you want are not available but you would still like the convenience of Redfern, please check out my other place. Look further down the page - below the reviews. You will see 'About the Host'. Click on the '+ More' link, then 'View Full Profile'. On that page, you will see my other apartment listed as 'Biggest Bed in Sydney!' Any city apartment will have some noise to deal with. While there is almost no traffic noise from the street, there is one subway line a block away. Through the day I don't even notice it, and while I am a light sleeper, it rarely disturbs me at night. Many guests comment on how quiet and calm the apartment is, but some guests have noticed it and mentioned it to me. I do provide earplugs if you need them (I always travel with them anyway). Airbnb functions on the basis of honesty so I like to point this out - as well as noting how big and comfortable the apartment is! Nearly 80 meters large (860 square feet) the apartment has a separate bedroom featuring a queen size latex bed, and also a queen-size Murphy bed in the office alcove. You can see the spare bed folded away against the wall, behind my desk, in the photos showing the office. The combined living-dining-kitchen-office is spacious. The normal check in is 10am and checkout is 8am. This is to allow for cleaning before new guests arrive - but please note that if you are on an early morning flight, you can drop your bags off and head out for coffee and breakfast - many great local cafes! - while we finish getting ready for you. Handy for early morning arrivals. Same for departure time. I'll be as flexible as I can. I have had guests leave bags here as late at 6pm on the day they check out, rather than lug them around town before heading to the airport for an evening flight. But if not otherwise discussed, checkout is 8am to allow two hours cleaning. The building is about 60 years old - formerly a garage and offices - but was converted to a block of five apartments 10 years ago. Mine was renovated three years ago. There is no lift, but there are only nine steps to the apartment, and four more from the lobby up to the living room. Redfern is at the southern end of the CBD, so you can have a leisurely stroll right along George St to the Opera House, Circular Quay and the Harbour Bridge, and come back through the Botanic Gardens. I also provide tea, coffee (with your own espresso machine), cereal and fresh milk for your breakfast. Airbnb is about affordable travel and the experience of living like a local. It's not cheap accommodation but rather community built on trust, local knowledge, a common interest in travel and a common believe that staying in someone's own home offers a different and superior experience when travelling. Because of this - and the huge costs of Sydney real estate - I am not able to discount. The prices on offer are cheaper than a second rate hotel, but the apartment is huge and of excellent quality! I want to make your stay as effortless as possible. The NeighborhoodProximity to the city! You cannot beat the neighbourhoods which abut the CBD for convenience, and Redfern Station is one of the best for getting EVERYWHERE in Sydney. The area was down-at-heels for years, but its proximity to the city and intact history has seen it blossom into a new, funky area (wall to wall retro furniture shops and new small bars) in the last 10 years. Getting AroundCentral Station is 800 meters away (845 yards) so all train lines - including the Airport Line are walking distance. The train trip is about 11 minutes, and the walk across Prince Alfred Park is another 10. Redfern Station is 400 meters (430 yards) away. About 1km (.6 of a mile) to Sydney University or the University of Technology, Sydney. The SpaceDESCRIPTION Large double fronted terrace house located in one of Sydney’s trendiest inner-city suburbs only 3km (10 mins by train or bus) from the Sydney CBD. Live like a local in this 3 bedroom home with everything at your doorstep including cafés, parks & playgrounds, ‘small’ bars & pubs, restaurants, galleries, grocery stores, bakeries, fresh produce markets, swimming pool, fitness centre and two major train stations. With polished floorboards throughout, high ceilings, large living areas and excellent kitchen facilities this home would ideally suit a family but would also work for a group of friends or couples. There are two large separate living areas, both with gas heating. The front living area has a lounge room which is equipped with wall mounted LCD TV plus Sony DVD, Foxtel IQ and Blu-Ray with surround sound with ample seating on a large L-shape couch (warning the couch is so comfortable it may induce drowsiness!). A wonderful room for watching movies or just hanging out. This room also boasts a wood-burning fireplace, perfect for any cold Sydney nights. The formal dining room is next to the lounge room, with a table that seats 6 comfortably (it can also extend to seat 8-10 guests). This room has a gas fireplace for instantaneous heating. The second living area contains a less formal dining area and is located by the kitchen and opens up onto the back courtyard. There is a round table that can seat 4-6 people as well as two 3-seater couches. This room also has a gas heater. The three bedrooms are on the first floor. The large main bedroom has a queen size bed with private balcony. The second bedroom has a single four poster bed (normal size). While this would be a great kids room it would also be fine for an adult (it is a little girls dream room but we can make this less “girly” and less "kid friendly" if required). The third bedroom can be configured as two singles or a king size bed. All bedrooms have a wardrobe or hanging space. Bedroom Configuration: •Master Bedroom – 1 x queen size bed •Second Bedroom – 1 x single bed •Third Bedroom – 2 x single beds (can convert to king size bed) •A cot is available on request. The Neighborhood Redfern is an inner-city suburb of Sydney three kilometres south of the Sydney CBD. It is famous for its cafés, restaurants, bars and vintage homewares. It is a trendy, up-and-coming neighbourhood with a village style atmosphere. It is a very walkable suburb with everything at your doorstep and lots of parks and playgrounds for kids. The beautiful Prince Alfred Park is a 2-minute walk and access to tennis courts, basketball courts, swimming pool, exercise equipment and children’s playground facilities. This has recently had a facelift. Within 15 minutes you can walk to trendy Surry Hills filled with bars, restaurants, shops and cafes. A 20 minute walk (or 5 min train ride) will take you to Newtown, one of the hipster suburbs well known for live music, pubs and cheap eats. Within 20-25 minutes you can walk to China Town & Darling Harbour which boasts some great restaurants, shopping and entertainment Sydney has to offer (very touristy but fun all the same). Redfern is an ideal base for exploring Sydney’s tourist attractions including the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Botanical Gardens, Darling Harbour and The Rocks as well as Bondi Beach, ANZ Stadium, Manly Beach, Taronga Zoo and the Blue Mountains. It is only a 10-minute drive from the Domestic Airport or 15 minutes from the International Airport (subject to traffic). Getting AroundOur house is walking distance from two of Sydney’s largest train stations – Redfern (5 min walk) and Central (10 min walk, as well as access to the Light Rail). Buses are also a short walk away and depart mainly from Redfern St or Cleveland St giving you access to all surrounding suburbs including beach and city destinations. You can catch a train from the airport but we recommend coming by taxi as it's only a $20-$25 fare (about 20 minutes).

The SpaceRedfern is a great central location close to the city and a now gentrified area with a lot of young professionals. We are 2 min walk from Redfern's trendy bars The Dock and Arcadia, a 4 min walk from Redfern Park, and at most a 10 minute walk to Central Station. It is about 20 mins to the airport also, so it really is convenient for travellers, as well as having Redfern located on all train lines for easy access to all of Sydney. Our apartment has a washer/dryer, a front and rear courtyard, a spacious lounge, a large screen TV and plenty of couches as well as wifi internet. Guest AccessGuests have access to the kitchen, our BBQ, our wifi internet, and our car parking space. Interaction with GuestsWe will not be present during the guest stay but our family are at hand with any questions, and we will be contactable throughout by mobile and email. We've used airbnb as guests many times, and have also hosted couchsurfers, as well as been couchsurfers, so we are used to the variety of travellers, and ultimately this is not a 'spare house', this is our home, so we keep it in good order. The NeighborhoodRedfern is a great suburb for young people, it is very close to the city and has plenty of nightspots and eateries cropping up along the Redfern St as well as Pitt St. We love living here, you can access the entire city by walking, we live right on the main cycleway of the city also, and it is trivial to get around by train or car. The SpaceThis was refurbished and is located on the right hand side of the main floor along with the bathroom. I thoroughly enjoyed hosting for my parents apartment, so I wanted to try and rent out the room and be a stay in AirBnb host! If you choose to stay, you'll be sharing the apartment with me. I live on the bottom floor and the AirBnB room are located on the top floor. So, its pretty much very private. Unless you want to come down and say "hi!". I modeled the room to be very modern and upscale. You'll find all the amenities and functions in our room. I recommend this room to individuals who are looking for a cheap, nice and convenient place to stay. If you are looking for a hotel experience with a private bathroom, this might not be for you. I can't stress enough to all AirBnb guests, that our rooms are not hotel rooms =(. We try very hard!!!. But, please understand, that we are welcoming you to our home shared with others. And like many homes, they have their own interesting quirks! I will make sure you'll enjoy your stay at my place! So, please note that the bathroom is shared, there is no air conditioning and no on-site parking available. But, I have a nice large fan and heater available at all times! Guest will have access to: - Upstairs Bathrooms - Laundry & Dryer Machines - Kitchen - Living & Common Areas Please note common areas are shared, including bathrooms. 和其他Airbnb公寓一样,公共区域是大家共享的。客人都可以使用: -楼上卫生间 -洗衣机和甩干机 -厨房 -客厅及其他公共区域 Interaction with GuestsI live on-site! =) I am more than happy to leave you alone or mingle! It's totally up to you! =) I am self-employed and study part-time, so my schedule's very flexible. If you need anything at all, I'm just downstairs or a phone call away. I'll mention it when I greet you on your arrival, please call or ask for anything, don't feel shy! During your stay, you might bump into my girlfriend or family. It's a 3 bedroom duplex apartment, two room are rented out for AirBnB. The NeighborhoodIt's cozy and peaceful! But, once you walk 5 minutes, you're in the heart of the City. Everything is so convenient! 这附近舒适又安静!但是只要您出门走5分钟,您就能到市中心!一切都很便利! Getting AroundYou name it... - Train (Central & Redfern Stations) - Bus (Central Station & all main roads surrounding us) - Light rail (Central Station & Chinatown) - Taxi (They're everywhere =) !) 应有尽有! -火车(5分钟内步行) -公交车(3分钟步行) -电车(5分钟步行) -出租车(到处都是!=)) Other Things to NoteTo get to the apartment from Sydney Airport: Train (15-20mins) - Will take you to CENTRAL STATION and then a 5 minute walk. Not recommended if you are with luggage. The train ticket for a single adult is $17.20 to the city. Taxi is your best bet! - A trip from the airport for about $30-$40. It's only a 15-20minute ride. Split between two people, I think it's a far better option than the train.

The SpaceHi there! We're offering a private bedroom with a double bed in a brand new apartment next door to Redfern Station, which is 1 train stop or a 20 minute walk to the city centre. You would have a private bathroom (located near the entrance of the apartment) and free wifi. This is a great place to stay for anyone solo if you have any concerns about walking home alone at night - as we are so close to the station which gets all of the trains, and you walk past a police station to get to our place. You can cook and wash your clothes. You'll be right near the vibrant and bustling Redfern with great bars, restaurants and cafe at your doorstep. Redfern Station is a major transport hub - you can get everywhere fast from here. You would be sharing the apartment with my husband Kaveh and I. We are in our early 30s and are friendly and easy going. There is a SPAR large grocery store right under the building. Please note you will have a private bathroom but it is not an ensuite. Please remove your shoes at the entrance - thank you.. Guest Access1 Bedroom, lounge, balcony, kitchen, private bathroom. Interaction with GuestsWe like to chat with guests and are more than happy to offer advice and tips about Sydney. The NeighborhoodRedfern is a great upcoming neighbourhood. Lots of character, great little cafes, bars and restuarants. We recommend getting the train to Newtown to have a look around. It's a 5 minute train ride away. Shops, food, cinema, bars.. We are about a 20 minute walk away from Surry Hills. This is a great area to explore. We also recommend walking to the Central Park area. There is a "spice alley" - great atmosphere with lots of asian food stalls. And a frozen yoghurt shop with unlimited toppings for $7. They have markets sometimes also - check it out! If you're interested in Persian, Turkish or Afghani food - you should take a train to Auburn and look around. The restaurant Khaybar (Afghani food) is really great! For great dessert try the cakes and pies at The Rocks Cafe. There are markets at The Rocks on Friday nights too. Also try Aqua S soft serve on George Street, Messinas Gelato, or just around the corner from our house is good gelato - Ciccone & Sons Gelateria. Getting AroundIt takes 20 minutes to walk to the city centre. Redfern Station is across the road and is a major train hub in Sydney. There are plenty of buses that leave from outside the apartment also. We are close to Bondi Beach, Newtown, and the City. The SpaceGreat sunny, open plan warehouse space with 3 meter high ceilings and stainless steel kitchen. Suprisingly quiet given the central location. Creative types and young professionals love this space! There is one double bed and also a comfortable 3 seater sofa that also folds out into a double bed if there are 2 people staying who want seperate beds. Guest AccessInternal laundry, private bathroom, kitchen complete with all cooking appliances. I'm pretty easygoing about guests using whatever food I have. Garbage and recycling disposal at the back of the building. Interaction with GuestsI'm like to get a sense of my guests before renting to them. This flat is my home, so I'd only rent to people who will respect that. I only rent when I'm out of town, so trust and communication is important. The NeighborhoodRedfern is my favourite part of Sydney to live in. It's cuturally diverse, artistic and lively, but still with a neighbourhood feel in the inner city. Nice parks, good bars, resturants, cafes, quirky shops, public swiming pool and recreation centre, art galleries. Everything that makes sydney Sydney! Getting Around5 mins walk to Redfern train station, where almost every train line in Sydney meets. 15 mins walk to Central train station, where EVERY train line meets and interstate buses and trains arrive. There is also a light rail from Central station and bus connections everywhere. I think there is a free city shuttle bus (555) that runs from Central to Circular Quay at certain times in the day. Street parking only, theres usually street parking on the street behind. From the airport, just take the train directly to Central Station (10 mins), exit at the Devonshire st exit and walk across Prince Alfred Park (15 mins) Other Things to NoteI'm only interested in renting to good people.

The SpaceWelcome! This apartment will suit a short term eco-conscious traveller(s) to Sydney. The room is fitted with a double bed, in-build wardrobe, writing desk, and shelves. I live in a modern 2 bedroom apartment in Redfern, complete with a full-equipped gym (5 minute walk to Central Station (city centre), Redfern station, close to shopping centre, pubs, restaurants, amenities) - which is an added bonus so you can unwind and have a work out during your stay. There is also a vegetable/herb garden (mint, coriander, parsley, tomato, basil) on the rooftop, which you are welcome to take when cooking. I work part time from home more (while doing some studies). FYI, the average price for a shared dorm style of 8 in Bounce Hotel next to Central Station is $49 per night. Ideally this would suit: 1. Low key and independant 2. Eco-friendly, vegetarian-friendly 3. Sustainability-minded traveller 4. Non-smoker and mature traveller who is sensible and clean up after themselves. Expect you to clean up after yourselves, wash your dishes, and keep the place clean. 5. Please be responsible in finding the unit on your own - print out the map and a photo of the building from my profile. I get many guests every week, so its frustrating when I get guests who expect me to physically guide them to the unit. 6. For guests with long hair, please be reminded to clean the bathroom after each shower. Just a reminder, this is NOT a hotel. I am deliberately charging a low price, as I consciously avoid guests with high and unrealistic expectations, and OCD types. I am interested in travellers/guests who are happy to share. If you have any issues, please tell me as I can't read minds, and would prefer you to ask than for you to have a bad stay. A bit about the area Redfern: traditionally, it has been known for being a shady area, but in the past 10 year has seen major changes and gentrification. These days, its a hip place with lot of trendy bars, cafes, parks but still retaining its affordability in price. If you are booking with me, please write more about yourself, the reason you're visiting Sydney and add a picture of yourself too. I'd like to know who I'm sharing my space with. DIRECTIONS VIA TAXI: Get dropped off at Renwick St (off Regent St). You will spot the entrance via the glass doors with "Signature Apartments". DIRECTIONS VIA TRAIN: The nearest stop is Redfern station. After coming out of station, turn right until you hit Regent St, then take Wells St, and then left to Renwick St. Entrance is mid way on Renwick St. * At times, the couch is also leased out short term, so bear that in mind. Please email me for more info. Guest AccessWIFI: Brooklyn Password: newyorkcity Other Things to NoteThe building can be hard to find, so please ensure you print a map and know where you're going.
