The lakefront cottage is a cozy, clean and well-kept, two-bedroom that sleeps six people. Located on the quiet end of Mt. Morris Lake, a 165-acre chain of five small lakes and fed by both springs and streams. In the heart of beautiful Waushara County, where the Northwoods start. If you are looking for rest and relaxing, this is the place! Waushara County is one of Wisconsin's most popular destinations for fishing, swimming, boating, skiing, golfing, hunting, snowmobiling, and family recreation.
The cottage has a fully furnished kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, sleeping loft with 2 twin beds, and an enclosed sitting area with large picture window looking out to the lake with two recliners. It is furnished with a TV, DVD and stereo with CD player. One bedroom is furnished with a double bed, two column cabinets; the other bedroom has twin trundle beds. This cottage is perfect for a small family or two couples.
There is a large wood deck with a built-in fire pit, so you can have a quiet evening fire. New May 2015 a new deck addition. Enjoy breathtaking views, and endless sunsets right from the pier. This a great place for boating, fishing or just relaxing with a book.
The private pier with electric hook-up allows you to keep your boat tied up during your stay.
The area is very quiet and peaceful that deer come and visit, see picture of doe and fawn taken on 6/7/15 from the kitchen window.
The cottage is 7 miles north of Wautoma, a few miles east of Route 51, and approximately 35 miles west of Oshkosh (a 2-hour drive from Milwaukee; and 3-4 hour drive from Chicago).

The cottage is on a private road located in a quiet neighborhood.
The Mt. Morris Town Park has a public launch, playground, and beach area located a half-mile away. The largest lake is reserved for water skiing and tubing between the hours of 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The other lakes in the chain are great for pleasure boating, fishing, swimming, sailing and canoeing.
The fishery of Mt. Morris Lake consists of northern pike, largemouth bass, perch, bluegills, pumpkinseed, crappies, and bullheads. The lake is particularly noted for its largemouth bass and northern pike.
Mt. Morris Hills County Park is the largest and most popular park in the County system. It offers spectacular panoramic viewing from 300 feet above the surrounding countryside. Fall colors bring many sightseers to the top of the "mountain”. The Park facilities include softball diamond, tennis courts, horseshoes, playground, and a large shelter with picnic tables and restrooms.
There are restaurants, supper clubs, taverns, pizzerias, and fast food outlets offer a variety of menus. Whether you crave a pub burger and fries, steaks, chops, ribs, pizza or fish fry you will find it here or enjoy a cookout right at the cottage.
Golf enthusiasts will find 73 holes to play in Waushara County, including three of the state's top nine, with exquisite landscaping, hilltop views of rolling terrain, vast woods, sloped greens, dog legs, sand traps, spring fed ponds, imported boulder backdrops and water hazards. Course amenities include the best; gracious club houses, lounges, dining facilities and practice ranges. Miniature golfers can test their putting skills at two different area courses, and bowlers will find five great bowling centers to choose from in Waushara County.
