Indoors has large great room with floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall magnificent views, large living room, full kitchen, all amenities, 250 DISH channels, Internet, private access road—and much more. * Both guest cottages sleep 5; one has a full bath, the other has a half bath. * There is additionally a full, private outdoor toilet-sink-shower area. * There are permanent horseshoe pits, a large canopy area with ping pong table, 2 separate covered picnic areas seating about 34 people, an event grill, swings for youngsters, outdoor lighting, and more. * Both the indoor and outdoor kitchens include dishwashers, stoves, toaster ovens, multiple microwaves, and multiple refrigerators and freezers. All cooking utensils are provided inside and out. * All bedrooms in the house have wall-to-wall mirrored sliding door closets, are carpeted, and have phones, TVs, and DVRs/CDs. The cottages also have TVs with DVD players. There are 2 canoes, swimming in the river, lawn swings, lounge chairs, hammock—and much more. Guest AccessGuests can occupy and use all or select portions of living accommodations and all outdoor areas; usage will be reflected in pricing. * We are willing to rent for single days, single nights, weekends, weeks, and months at a time.

The NeighborhoodThere is no neighborhood! This is a serene paradise, where you can stare at the mesmerizing views through wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows in every room of the house facing north (see uploaded photos of the view from the living room); or hike through pristine woods, or fish on the single best spot on the river immediately below the house, or canoe/kayak down the river to a beautiful lake, or canoe/kayak from miles up river down to the house, or picnic on the hill overlooking the panoramic view, or sit all night by a bonfire, or watch TV indoors on a 4K screen (or any of 6 other smaller TVs), or browse on the Internet, or play the piano or keyboard (we have dozens of music books), or play board games (which we'll provide) on the huge great room table, or sleep on a dreamy, well-padded bed--or all of the above--and so much more (like phones in every room, Verizon and AT&T wireless boosters)! Getting AroundThis secluded hideaway is 7 miles from the village of Whitney Point, 20 miles from a regional airport, 25 miles from Binghamton, 30 miles from Vestal, less than 40 miles from Ithaca, and 50 miles from Syracuse. There is public transportation to and from Whitney Point and Ithaca, and public transportation to and from Whitney Point and select downstate areas, but we don't know, what, if any, other public transportation there might be. I-81 runs through Whitney Point, and all local roads are well maintained and easily accessible. * Dorchester Park, which has boating, fishing, swimming, and picnicking, is less than 5 miles down the road. * Aiello's, a highly-rated Italian restaurant, is in Whitney Point. * Vestal has all manner of shopping, eateries, entertainment, and attractions. * Binghamton, Cortland, Ithaca, and Syracuse are major college towns. * There are large flea markets in Syracuse and off I-81 south, exit 1, on Sundays. * Syracuse has a huge farmers' market on Saturdays. * New York's largest mall is in Syracuse. * We'll provide an "I Love New York" guide to Central New York, which contains literally hundreds of places to go and things to do. * You won't be bored...unless you want to be! Other Things to NoteThe grounds are not readily wheelchair accessible, although a person can easily negotiate the main house with wheelchairs and crutches, wide doorways and no saddles in most of the house and cottages as well. The grounds can be accessed with modest effort.
