Fala Portugues? tambem posso falar alguma coisa. The NeighborhoodChurch Hill is one the oldest part of Richmond, and Richmond has a rich history, specially during the Civil War. Presently Church Hill is one of the city's areas with most renovation of historic houses and construction of new ones respecting the old Architectural style. The house is four blocks away from Chimborazo Park where the largest civil war era hospital was located. On the park grounds there is a small museum that you can visit for free while in Richmond. The SpaceLocation, location, location. You can't get much closer to the fun! You'll literally be a short walk from more specialty shops and restaurants than you can imagine. Want to see a movie? theater down the street. Need some groceries or a bottle of wine? 4 grocery stores within as many blocks. Want to spend the day relaxing on the James River? OK, you'll need to bike or catch a ride but its only a mile or so away. The Orange Room is bright and happy and includes a queen size bed with fresh linens and a desk in case you need to get some work done. WiFi is available if you need it. Feel free to have a cup of coffee on the porch or in the fenced back yard. The cozy full bath is shared but the half bath fills in the gaps. I think you're gonna love the Orange Room! *Note* One thing you should be aware of before booking is that Sasha is a 50 pound super exuberant three legged Amstaf mix (one of the breeds commonly called a pit bull). She's a complete sweetheart and never aggressive towards anyone but just due to her appearance she intimidates some people. If you aren't a dog person, it might not be a perfect fit. She is known to offer very enthusiastic greetings when you arrive to the house and most guests remark on how she was the highlight of their trip but I understand a big dog isn't on everyone's comfort list. Also - Sasha, Shaun, and the neighborhood are LGBTQ friendly. Guest AccessPrivate room with queen sized bed, clean linens, and desk and TV. Plenty of free street parking. Shared: full bath with claw-foot tub/shower. Towels provided. Kitchen and washer dryer available to use as needed. Feel free to use the backyard patio and front porch to enjoy the weather. Interaction with GuestsInteract with me as much as you want. I work from home some days so I'm often around if you need anything. I love to make recommendations or point you towards spots to see if you want a little help. Need your space? That's fine too. :) UPDATE: Sasha the tripawd dog is a new addition! She loves all people but I'll try to keep her out of you way unless you tell me otherwise. But she might be the favorite part of your stay! The NeighborhoodI love how this neighborhood always accommodates! Feel like a good burger? How about a slice of pizza or some Ethiopian? Falafel sandwich or a gyro? Wanna catch a movie or check out some consignment shops? You're in the right neighborhood! Speaking of food... (URL HIDDEN) Getting AroundThere are some bicycle shops a block away that rent bikes. That is probably the best way to get around Richmond. We also have Uber now so you might try your luck there. The house is two blocks from a bus stop and no more than a mile from the interstate. You can get where you need to go with ease. Overall, the city is a biker's dream too. Marked bike lanes and flat as a pancake make traveling on two wheels preferred.

The SpaceThe view is incredible, and the park is beautiful. Take a stroll through the park or jog through the vita-trail exercise course and across the river and back. Inside our condo: Perch by the bar to watch the cook, or lounge by the panoramic bay windows to people-watch or read or play records. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, and the second bedroom has a full size bed. There is a jack+jill bathroom between them with shower and bathtub. The kitchen includes oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and clothes washer (heavy duty washers and dyers are in building next door). While there is no TV, I often use a projector that can connect to your laptop and put a large image on a wall (if interested, let me know and I will tell you more). Guest AccessSome of Richmond's best cafe's and bars are just a few blocks away: The Cask cafe and bar, Lamplighter Coffee, Helen's,... (just to name a few). These are easy to walk to, and just a bit further (about half mile from condo) is Carytown with a wealth of opportunities: movies, restaurants, shopping, yoga studios, and more. The VMFA (Virginia museum of fine arts) is also about half a mile away. It has an impressive collection displayed in a magnificent building, with an affordable and good cafe and also a fine dining restaurant with amazing view. The NeighborhoodThe natural beauty in our neighborhood is very special. It is quiet and pleasant. People come to watch the ducks and geese, walk their dogs, or to see the sunset. The adjoining neighborhoods have interesting shops, restaurants, and drinkeries. I will give you a map with lots to do in the area. Getting AroundWhile there is a bus stop one block away, it is even easier to walk or bike to get most places. If you have a car, there is plenty of parking on our streets. Richmond and surrounding areas are easily drive-able. My condo is very close to entrance and exits to the highways, very convenient getting on and off and away to wherever you want to go. Other Things to NoteI'll mention some things here that may or may not be an issue for visitors: - A couple of guests have mentioned that they can hear the upstairs neighbors walking across their floor/our ceiling. If you are a light sleeper, you might consider earplugs or a white noise machine. (I have also mentioned this to my neighbors, who are very friendly.) - The hot water heater puts out enough for one full shower, but needs a little time to refill before the next one. Use the hot water conservatively when showering and stagger your shower schedule, and there shouldn't be any problem. - There is no TV. (I just can't stand the commercials!) But you can watch movies or internet content with a large image on the wall using my projector. Let me know if you're interested so I can explain how it works and make sure you have access to it (All wires are included, and I have speakers with bluetooth capabilities.) I'm always accessible via phone and text messaging. Let me know what I can do to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable!
