The NeighborhoodRodeo is a quiet little community that is very family oriented. Driving down the main street, Parker Ave, you will see Lefty Gomez Baseball Field, 3 fields where several generations of families in Rodeo have played baseball throughout the years. The field is the pride of Rodeo.. It's where the community comes to mingle. Everyone knows everyone. In early October, come to the Chili Cook-off and Car Show at Lefty Gomez Field. Visiting us in May? The street shuts down for Cinco de Mayo. Come celebrate with us!
At the Rodeo Marina, you will find Four Fools Winery, a small urban winery with fantastic views of San Pablo Bay and wine tasting on weekends sitting out on a spacious deck above the Bay. Several regattas during the year allow you an amazing view of large fleets of sailboats racing from San Francisco. You can windsurf or kayak from the marina boat launch, go fishing, shop for fine wood furniture at Buoy 14 Boat Works, and watch the sunset over Mt. Tamalpais. Getting AroundThe best way to get around the Bay Area is by car. Driving through the wine country, taking small detours down a small street, and stopping in an interesting spot is the best way to discover the area. Want to go the other direction? Driving to San Francisco is a snap. The first time you drive over the newly constructed Bay Bridge is a treat! We do have public transportation, however this is not like being in New York City or Paris. BART, our idea of a subway, well get you to the main areas. From there you can take city buses or hire cabs. Other Things to NoteONGOING
