Hawkeye Security, a security company in Jamaica, drives through the neighborhood daily. In addition, to our house alarm and security cameras, Nutmeg hires a security guard whenever the Villa is occupied. Restaurant: Check out our local -Scotchies Montego Bay - Authentic Jamaican food, quick friendly service and reasonably priced. Best chicken, pork and festivals you'll have! Getting AroundThere is public transportation, however, it's best to hire our very reliable and responsible driver who has been with the villa for over eight years. Other Things to NoteCheck in : 3:00pm Check out: 12 noon Rental Party: The Rental Party shall consist of Renter and a list of other persons that Renter shall provide upon request of Homeowner. Terms of Lease: The lease begins and ends at the Check-in Date and Check-Out Date noted. Proof of Identification: Homeowner reserves the right to request proof of identification and payment information from renter at Check-In. Gratuity: The property is staffed by our Chef, Butler, Housekeeper, Laundress and two Gardeners/Pool Attendants. Renter is responsible for paying a cash gratuity directly to the staff prior to departure. The recommended amount of the Gratuity is 10% between Dec 15-April 14 and 15% otherwise of the total cost of the accommodations. The SpaceIt's quiet, very safe (24 hour security), and you can choose between a natural beach or pool. You can take a local taxi from our gate to go into town for less than $2/trip. We're right beside the all-inclusives, but just a LOT quieter. The exterior white washed walls always need painting but it's kinda romantic especially at night - wonderful views. Inside the rooms are really nice, as are the people there. BTW- - if you rent on a long-term rate (base rent + electric), note electric costs are $0.47/kwh, considerably higher than North american rates) but still a deal overall for long term renters (one month+). Guest AccessYou can use everything in the apartment. Just don't break anything. Interaction with GuestsNot much - after she checks you in, you can call Mitzie back if you have any issues - she give you her cell phone number. That's about it - we give people space. The NeighborhoodIt's a nice community. About half the apartments are occupied at any given time, with folks from Jamaica, Canada, USA, and the UK- a very nice mix of cultures. The bar is at the center of the property and stays open till at least 11pm - often have nice 'lyming'. Getting AroundLocal taxis stop at our gate, right off the main road (highway). Other Things to NoteThe exterior of the buildings are always in need of a paint job. But the inside of the apartments are very nice, like the pix. Wifi is available on a per diem rate, but must be reserved. Also, longterm stays (i.e. 4 weeks+) must pay own electric - this enable us to keep our cost very low.

The NeighborhoodOur guesthouse “Stay and Rest” is in the middle of Lilliput, a typical jamaican community at the ocean front between Montego Bay and Falmouth, close by is road 46 and the New Testament-Church of God/Lilliput. And it`s only 30 min from the International Sangster Airport, Montego Bay. The guesthouse is situated in the mellow green hills between the Great House Rose Hall and the Iberostar Beach Resort. In the closer area you find the Jamaican style of bars, restaurants and little food shops. About 15 min walk down the hill you reach the turkoise ocean. The coastal road (bus and taxi stop) carries you to white sandy beaches with cristal clear waters. All surrounded with fascinating corall riffs, perfect for snorkeling. Montego Bay and Falmouth are each only about nine miles away. There and along the coastal road you can find almost everything you can think of: nightlife, concerts, beaches, kiteboarding, river rafting, tennis, gulf, horseback riding, scuba diving, craft markets and a whole lot more. It`s the Lilliput Jerk Centre and The Green Circle Sports Bar at this crossing. From there you give us a call and we will guide you the last piece up the hill. Otherwise if you move on your own you can follow the Bob Man Hill road and the signs to the New Testament Church of God / Lilliput. As you reach the church you turn to your left into Road 46 up the hill. After the road is unpaved you turn twice to your left and here you are. Otherwise call and we will pick you up. Other Things to NoteThe people in the area are trying to survive with dignity. They are happy about "All Exclusive" tourists. You are free to buy at their shops, eat or have a drink at their places ... if you like. ;) Otherwise the tourist zones are in easy reach.

This apartment has two rooms, one in fresh orange color, with two grilled windows towards the lush green garden, a comfortable queensize bed and a door to the private big bathroom. The other room is sky blue painted and has an victorian style queensize bed, a grilled window to the garden and a grilled door. This apartment has a private shower and toilet room in bright orange. Furnished to the highest standards with heavenly beds, premium cable TV and high speed internet access. Note: Unit has two air conditioning units which must be manually turned on and off. Also, hot water heater is turned on by the red pilot light in bedroom - takes about 30 minutes to heat up; leave on for duration of stay. Guest AccessThe entire property, including beach, gym, reading rooms, concierge, lobby, lounges. The NeighborhoodPalmyra A few tips for when you visit. When you land, you can have an airport taxi take you to the Palmyra - we are 15 minutes along the main road east from the airport on the coast, right before you reach the Hilton resort. The fare is approx $35 to the Palmyra from the airport. It is a good idea to ask the driver to make a quick stop at the grocery store so you can pick up a few items on your way, as there are no grocery marts available on property; they may charge you extra for the stop but it's probably worth it. Whitter Village Shopping Centre is located half way between the airport and the Palmyra and is home to Progressive Supermarket as well as a variety of other restaurants, gifts shops, and shopping stores. The security guard at our gate will have your name, and point you to the concierge desk in the Sabal block. Once you arrive, the concierge desk will collect the $35 housekeeping clean-up fee from you if you have rented a 1-bedroom unit which is used to restore the apartment after you leave, and if you require any other housekeeping visits during your stay it can be arranged in the same fashion. If you have rented a 2-bedroom unit, the clean-up fee is $55 and will be collected by the concierge at check in. They will give you an electronic key so that you can access the room. Please ensure you get a receipt for this payment. If you have any questions about the room, just use the phone in the suite to call 0, and the concierge can answer your questions or connect you with maintenance, etc for any issues. At night, security guards man the concierge desk but they are normally able to respond to urgent requests as well. Wifi is available when you check in. Ask the staff at the desk, they will give you the password. Please note the following: 1.Our address is: The Palmyra, Rosehall P.O., Rosehall, St James, Jamaica. We are a 5 minute drive to nearby shopping centre Whitter Village, Blue Diamond supermarket and "Scotchies Boston Jerk Centre" located to the west of us. Just a few doors left of the Progressive Supermarket Coffee N Cream is located where you can enjoy American-Jamaican meal and drinks. We are a 5-minute drive east to local Jamaican restaurants including “Father Bull", “Chillout Hut" and the “Drunken Squid", where you can dine on the waterfront in a quaint laid back atmosphere. Yacht Club, Sugar Mill, Robby's Diner, Mystic India, The Pelilcan Diner, and Pier One all offer complimentary shuttle services for dinner in case you do not have a rental car. Some of these venues offer specials seasonally including (subject to change of course): Sugar Mill offers Palmrya residence a 20% discount per the manager; Robby's Diner has 2 for 1 lobster Fridays and the Montego Bay Yacht club has 2 for 1 lobster on Wednesday night. On request, a cook can visit to prepare meals; for $40/visit, he/ she can make several meals during one visit once you have provided the groceries. During your visit, if you want to try taking the local shared taxis to go in and out of town, you can walk back to our gate, cross the street at the lights and pay a local taxi about $2/per person each way; you may ask our security guard to assist if you like. The NeighborhoodIt is simple - though the exterior of the buildings are weathered (need painting) the inside of the apartments are bright and pretty with modern amenities. And it is quiet. There is often a wonderful breeze that blows right from the ocean through the apartment. It's nice to have the beach right here, which is often frequented by local fishermen and windsurfers. There is limited onsite facilities, the condo is situated on the 8th floor and features a balcony with amazing full ocean views. The living room has a flat-panel television with premium cable channels and internet access. The bedroom is equipped with a ceiling fan and a large comfortable king size bed, and also has a private bathroom with an large bathtub and separate shower. The living room can double up as a second bedroom, the sofa bed, (which is a standard double) can sleep two people. The kitchen is fully equipped with stovetop, oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, toaster and coffee/tea maker. Daily housekeeping can be arranged at an additional cost and arranged through the concierge and the Condo Management directly. Getting AroundMy personally recommendation would be to hire a car, as this will make your stay much more enjoyable and give you the freedom and flexibility to explore the island and all the secrets it has to offer. Alternatively, you should take the number of the driver who dropped you at the resort or simply as reception to recommend a driver. Other Things to NoteThese condos are privately owned, by people who either live in Europe, the US, or Kingston and use these condos as holiday homes or weekend getaways, this means that the resort is very peaceful and there are not alot of guests around. But as mentioned before there is reception staff, house keeping, life guards and 24hr security. This means it's an idea location to relax, chill out and have some me time or a romantic getaway. Seascape can be a lovely bonding trip for your family, a romantic getaway, or an escape for a group of friends. From your private deck, and out of almost all windows, you will enjoy gorgeous ocean and pool views. A part of a gated community, the villa has 24 hour security. A third bedroom and bath can be included in your rental for an additional $75, or a total of $300 per night and will sleep an additional 2 people. Guest AccessSeascape's entire downstairs apartment is avalible for rent and it is separate from the rest of the house. The apartment includes two full bedrooms and baths, a washer and complete kitchen (including stove, microwave, fridge and coffee maker). The upper floors are off limits to guests. You will have access to a large private patio, the huge upstairs balcony, shared pool and hot tub, the gardens, courtyard and grounds. Guests will use a private entrance and gate codes for entry. Your hosts will provide you with a cell phone for local calls (purchase a phone card to make long distance calls) and there is also a landline in the apartment that allows free calls to the U.S.A. Check in time is 3pm, and check-out is 11am. The concierge desk will collect the $30 housekeeping clean-up fee from you ($50 for a 2-bedroom units), which is used to restore the apartment after you leave, and if you require any other housekeeping visits during your stay it can be arranged in the same fashion. They will give you an electronic key so that you can access the room. If you have any questions about the room, just use the phone in the suite to call 0, and the concierge can answer your questions or connect you with maintenance, etc for any issues. At night, security guards man the concierge desk but they are normally able to respond to urgent requests as well. Our address is: The Palmyra, Rosehall P.O., Rosehall, St James, Jamaica. The 750 foot elevation and ocean breezes provide a cool atmosphere and a very romantic view. In fact, every room has a view at High View Villa. The Villa is surrounded by beautiful tropical flowers and exotic plants. You can help yourself to some of our oranges, mangos, bananas, limes, avocados or even Jamaican ackee and breadfruit, that grow in our gardens. If you prefer, the gardener would be more than happy to assist or even climb a coconut tree for you. Besides Benson the gardener, the Villa is staffed by Gwen the maid and our cook Melda, the least of whom have ten years experience in order to make your stay as memorable as possible.
