A few tips for when you visit.
When you land, you can have an airport taxi take you to the Palmyra - we are 15 minutes along the main road east from the airport on the coast, right before you reach the Hilton resort. The fare is approx $35 to the Palmyra from the airport. It is a good idea to ask the driver to make a quick stop at the grocery store so you can pick up a few items on your way, as there are no grocery marts available on property; they may charge you extra for the stop but it's probably worth it. Whitter Village Shopping Centre is located half way between the airport and the Palmyra and is home to Progressive Supermarket as well as a variety of other restaurants, gifts shops, and shopping stores.
The security guard at our gate will have your name, and point you to the concierge desk in the Sabal block. Once you arrive, the concierge desk will collect the $35 housekeeping clean-up fee from you if you have rented a 1-bedroom unit which is used to restore the apartment after you leave, and if you require any other housekeeping visits during your stay it can be arranged in the same fashion. If you have rented a 2-bedroom unit, the clean-up fee is $55 and will be collected by the concierge at check in. They will give you an electronic key so that you can access the room. Please ensure you get a receipt for this payment.
If you have any questions about the room, just use the phone in the suite to call 0, and the concierge can answer your questions or connect you with maintenance, etc for any issues. At night, security guards man the concierge desk but they are normally able to respond to urgent requests as well. Wifi is available when you check in. Ask the staff at the desk, they will give you the password.

We are located next to the Hilton Resort which is just 15 minutes east of Sangster's Int'l airport. We are a 5 minute drive to nearby shopping centre Whitter Village, Blue Diamond supermarket and "Scotchies Boston Jerk Centre" located to the west of us. Just a few doors left of the Progressive Supermarket Coffee N Cream is located where you can enjoy American-Jamaican meal and drinks. We are a 5-minute drive east to local Jamaican restaurants including “Father Bull", “Chillout Hut" and the “Drunken Squid", where you can dine on the waterfront in a quaint laid back atmosphere. Yacht Club, Sugar Mill, Robby's Diner, Mystic India, The Pelilcan Diner, and Pier One all offer complimentary shuttle services for dinner in case you do not have a rental car. Some of these venues offer specials seasonally including (subject to change of course): Sugar Mill offers Palmrya residence a 20% discount per the manager; Robby's Diner has 2 for 1 lobster Fridays and the Montego Bay Yacht club has 2 for 1 lobster on Wednesday night.
On request, a cook can visit to prepare meals; for $40/visit, he/ she can make several meals during one visit once you have provided the groceries.
During your visit, if you want to try taking the local shared taxis to go in and out of town, you can walk back to our gate, cross the street at the lights and pay a local taxi about $2/per person each way; you may ask our security guard to assist if you like.
And please remember to bring your own beach towels, as those are not provided in the apartment!

Debra & Gladys Getting AroundThe concierge desk can assist in calling a private driver which is costly but it is private. It is the norm for local taxi drivers to charge a hefty night-premium for drives after midnight.
We would recommend renting a car for your convenience once you are comfortable to drive on the left hand side on the road. (The road ways are quite good). Other Things to NoteCheck in time is 3pm, and check-out is 11am.
