The house is cozy. I guarantee it is clean and well kept because I am a Neat Freak! Guest AccessGuests have access to the guest room, full bathroom on second floor, washer and dryer in the basement, half bathroom in the basement, kitchen and living areas, front and backyards. The only part of the house we ask you not to bother is the master bedroom. Interaction with GuestsWe are certainly ready and willing to offer recommendations and information about our city and the surrounding areas. We live about 10 minutes or less away from most of the popular neighborhoods and tourist sites outside of Canton! We enjoy dining out and have a few favorite drinking establishments. Most of our nights are spent watching movies or television shows on the internet, or we are gaming. The NeighborhoodHome is located on a one-way street with charming row homes built during the 1950's. Most of the neighbors are of the older population. There is a bar at the end of the street, but it has never caused a problem and is in fact an official "Raven's Nest" (in case you like sports).
The Target within city limits is about a mile from the house located in a brand-new shopping complex that also houses a Harris Teeter grocery, Old Navy, dry cleaner, nail salon, UPS store, several banks, an Ulta, Five Below and quite a few eateries. Not to mention we are within a mile of the major highway I-95, so you can be in White Marsh in 15 minutes or Towson in 25. Washington, DC is also within an hour drive and we have access to light rail and metro stations.
We are located 1.5 miles from the Johns Hopkins Bayview Campus if you have a medical emergency. Fells Point is 3 miles away, the Inner Harbor and Convention Center 6.6 miles away, Fort McHenry 5.6 miles away, Federal Hill 6 miles away, etc. We are a 10-15 minute ride from everything you might want to see! Getting AroundThere is a taxi cab stand at the Best Western hotel that is 0.3 miles away from the house, a completely safe walk via sidewalks. Alternatively, you can use Uber to get yourself around town. There is also a bus stop with bench located right at the end of our street if you wish to use public transportation.
From where we live, you can safely use sidewalked roads to walk the roughly 1.5 miles it takes to get to the Canton neighborhood of Baltimore, where there is plenty of restaurants, shops and bars to peruse along with Canton Square. This is also where you will find the aforementioned Target, grocery store, banks, etc. Other Things to NoteWe DO have a cat, Padme. While she IS declawed in the front, she WILL bite if harassed. She is mostly a loner, perfectly fine to be ignored while sitting close to you. She is also a very vocal cat, she does like to meow in the morning for her breakfast to get us out of bed. Please respect her and do not harass her if she does not want to be pet. If she does want to be pet, take full advantage because it is a rare occasion indeed!
