Below the main house is a spacious one-bedroom in-law apartment that comfortably sleeps 3, available at an extra charge of $120/night. Rent just the main house or both. Entire house can comfortably sleep 11 people in proper beds! Guest AccessGuests have access to everything: the main house, front lawn, hot tub, outdoor fireplace area, and woods behind the house. Parking for two guest cars included. Rental of the Garden Apartment adds another guest parking space. Even so, please contact us via text, phone or email, for privacy. The NeighborhoodProperty is centrally located in the charming town of Kentfield, in central Marin. Convenient to restaurants and shops, 1 minute from Sir Francis Drake Blvd. (a main Marin thoroughfare), an easy 30 min drive to San Francisco, and 40 min to wine country. Walk down the (steep) hill to Kentfield town center, with the best brunch in Marin at Half-Day Cafe and the best gourmet market at Woodland Market. We are two minutes from paved bike paths and a 10 min drive to lovely hiking/ mountain biking trails in the hills behind Kentfield. Getting AroundHouse includes parking for two cars, restricted street parking on Stetson Avenue. Car is highly recommended.,Transport from SFO via rental car or Marin Airporter, Larkpur stop with taxi to house. Bus stop at College of Marin, a short walk down the hill. Other Things to Note3 day minimum booking. Children under 6 allowed only with special permission of the owners. We love kids, but some of the walkways/ decks aren't safe for very young children. Hot tub: Guests should understand that immediate use of the hot tub is not guaranteed. The hot tub needs to be drained and cleaned between renters and can take up to 24 hours to fully heat back up. Hot tub use limited to guests 12 and older, at their own risk. Leave hot tub covered whenever not in use. Cats: The house comes with two sweet cats that tenants will be responsible for feeding twice a day. Additional housekeeping available during longer stays for $250/ session. Booking adult must be min. 25 years old. Fireplaces cannot be used on Marin "no burn" days. Guests must (email hidden)/ before using fireplaces. Fines by the county up to $1000/ incidence apply for violations.

The SpaceThe studio is filled with light and views of the garden. The carpeting is non-allergenic merino wool and is luscious to walk on. It is located within walking distance of a great grocery store, College of Marin and there are many wonderful restaurants close by. The garden is yours to use at your leisure; surrounded by redwood trees and a view of Mount Tam. There are biking and hiking trails nearby, a movie theater and the Marin Art and Garden Center is only 1/2 mile away. Only 5 minutes from the freeway and 20 minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge, and usually 10 to 20 degrees warmer than San Francisco, Sausalito and Mill Valley. If you want a to stay in the Bay Area and avoid the fog, this is the place to be especially if you are interested in exploring Napa, Sonoma and the coastal areas like Stinson Beach and Point Reyes. Grocery store within walking distance and many great restaurants nearby. 30 minutes to Point Reyes Station. Hiking and biking trails abound. Guest AccessAccess to the terraced gardens. Parking for one car in driveway. Washer and dryer are available for a fee of $5 per load. Interaction with GuestsI live in the house attached to the unit and I work from home. I am always happy to answer questions, make recommendations and supplement whatever my guests find lacking in the unit. I also speak French fluently. The NeighborhoodKentfield is a lovely neighborhood with views of Mount Tamalpais from everywhere. Many hiking trails and bike trails nearby. College of Marin is a block away and The Marin Art and Garden Center is also just a few minutes away. If you are attending a wedding reception there, you will be ideally situated. Getting AroundGolden Gate transit stops right at the corner at the bottom of the street. The Larkspur ferry terminal is just on the other side of the freeway as is the Richmond bridge for access to the East Bay. Other Things to NoteWe have a small dog named BOE who likes to play in the garden. He is very friendly and loves people. If you don't like dogs, please let me know in advance. He is definitely not allowed in the unit at any time.

The SpaceThe apartment comfortably sleeps 3, with a queen bedroom and a twin bed/ daybed in a nook off the living room. It has a full kitchen, dining area, laundry room, private entrance and its' own parking space. It is quiet and serene, with woodland views from every window and an outdoor seating area with chairs. The location of this apartment couldn't be more ideal. It is a minute from the main thoroughfare Sir Francis Drake, two minutes from charming downtown Kentfield, 5 minutes from the highway, twenty minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge, 30 minutes from San Francisco and 40 minutes from wine country. It is in the prettiest part of one of the most beautiful counties in the country - Marin - and close to everything. But here's the kicker: it feels totally removed, with no traffic noise and total privacy. A secret oasis! Guest AccessThe in-law, its' outdoor area, one parking space and the path between. Guests may use the common lawn occasionally. Interaction with GuestsOwners will usually be present on the property, and available for questions and issues. We request that most communications be through text or phone for privacy reasons. The NeighborhoodKentfield is a sweet little town in central Marin, one of a string of such towns along the Ross Valley. This cluster of towns have a charm of their own: small-town feel, fantastic year-round weather, great food, outdoorsy lifestyle, cosmopolitan but down-to-earth. Kentfield town center has a couple of very good places to eat within walking distance: an excellent brunch place (Half-Day Cafe), a good all-around restaurant (Woodland Cafe), and the best gourmet grocery store and deli in Marin (Woodland Market). It also has a bank, florist, post office etc. In the hills behind Kentfield, a 10-minute drive, is some excellent hiking/ mountain biking. There are also paved bike paths that run though town center and continue the length of Marin. Getting AroundThere are bus stops nearby, but it's best if guests have a car. Parking for one car is included in the rental. Other Things to NoteGuests should note that the apartment is at the bottom of a long flight of rather rough, rustic outdoor stairs. Those with limited mobility might not find this unit a match. Please also note that this is a ground floor unit in a family home. As such guests should expect there to be some level of upstairs noise - footsteps, voices, etc. Most guests are fine with this, but extremely noise-sensitive folks might not find this unit a match.

The SpaceThe house sits on a quiet cul-de-sac which makes it an ideal location to relax and enjoy the beautiful vista of Mt Tamalpais. 5mn walk to trailheads,restaurant,shopping area. The room accommodate 2 persons comfortably and has its own full bathroom . The cottage accommodate 2 persons but does not have its own bathroom. Guest AccessGuest wil have use of the pool (in the Summer).Private patio. Lounge (URL HIDDEN) the manicured garden. About half of the garden is reserved for the hosts use. Interaction with GuestsWill interact as much as the guest needs or wants. We might be present or not during a guest stay. The NeighborhoodWe love the calm and the proximity of Mt Tamalpais hiking and biking trails. It is centrally located close to Larkspur,Corte Madera,San Anselmo and San Rafael shops and restaurants . Getting AroundThe Golden Gate bus network has a bus stop 100 yards away connected to Ferry service to San Francisco at Larkspur Landing.Parking in a private driveway is included.Marin Airporter is the most economical and reliable way to/from San Francisco airport. The SpaceThis is a fun, unique unit with a casual treehouse feel. Perfect for the relaxed guest looking for a beautiful, serene place to chill. Originally used as a music studio and hangout, for teaching, jamming, watching the game and being with friends. It's the kind of place where you can relax, spread out, and put your feet up on the furniture. You don't have to worry about playing the TV too loud or knocking over antiques. Guys, hipsters, free spirits, teens and families with young children tend to love it. The Studio consists of an older one-bedroom guest cottage with a new great room added on. This great room is quite astonishing, with 20' ceilings and walls of windows on three sides looking out over woodland. It has a large HD flatscreen TV with premium Direct TV package. Off the great room is small deck with a new Weber grill and seating, looking out over the woods. The whole unit has a cool, rec-room/ man-cave vibe, with prints by Banksy, matching Joey and Chandler leather recliners and a beat-up painted wood floor in the great room. It has several fun, offbeat features: a leftover exterior window between rooms, kitchen cabinets that look like they were designed by the Flintstones, etc. The unit is entirely set for comfort, though: the bedroom features a top-quality queen-sized latex mattress, for example, and there's newly installed HVAC. In the bedroom there's a dresser but no closet; guests hang their clothes on a portable garment rack. The bathroom is older and need renovating, but is clean, with a shower (no tub). Sun streams through four french doors with a garden view into the eat-in kitchen, which seats 4. The kitchen is small and older but fully stocked with the basics and good-quality cookware. Adjacent is a small sitting area. There is reliable wireless internet throughout. There's a twin bed with trundle in the far corner of the great room, that sleeps an extra two people. It's in a quiet, private, dark corner - good for sleeping, though not sound isolated. The Studio is totally private but in a sweet, upscale, ridiculously safe area with neighbors on all sides. The owners are usually in the main house and readily available should any need arise. The location couldn't be more ideal. It is a minute from the main thoroughfare Sir Francis Drake, two minutes from charming downtown Kentfield, 5 minutes from the highway, twenty minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge, 30 minutes from San Francisco and 40 minutes from wine country. In the hills behind Kentfield, a 10-minute drive, is some excellent hiking/ mountain biking. There are also paved bike paths that run though town center and continue the length of Marin. Getting AroundThere are bus stops nearby, but it's best if guests have a car. Parking on the property is limited to one car only. No extra cars allowed on the property, even for a short time. Any visiting cars must park on the street, (which is 40 min only weekdays and down the hill a bit). Other Things to NoteThe guesthouse is a work-in-progress and has a few areas that aren't 100% complete. For example, we haven't yet built the deck outside the French doors in the great room, or the stairs outside the door behind the trundle bed. The french doors are blocked and impossible to open, for safety's sake. The corner door, while hard to access behind the trundle, is operable and a potential hazard. Also, a few things about the Cottage aren't child-safe: for example, there are operable ground floor windows in the great room, which guests with small children will have to keep closed and locked at all times. None of this is a problem for 99% of the guests that stay here but feel free to discuss with us in detail before booking.

The SpaceWarmest area in Marin county Guest AccessBack yard basement has crocket set and bacci ball. Store bikes and other gear in the garage. We have great his and hers mountain bikes and road bikes in the garage. You assume all liability if you use them and they must be returned in good working order. Please don't use any of the surfboards in garage. There is a soft top surfboard on the side of the house you can use but you assume all liability and risk for every circumstance . Further more when using any of any and all our gear, including, trampoline, pool, bikes, etc, we don't guarantee its safety, proper maintenance, or performance and lessor will hold us harmless and bare the burden to financially defend us from liability law suits from his or her guests in every event or circumstance. Furthermore, Lessor will assume all liability for himself, family, etc. Wine tasting - 25 min to downtown Sonoma - 35 min to downtown Healdsburg 25 minutes from downtown San Francisco or ocean beach Interaction with GuestsOnly as they may need me. The NeighborhoodBeautiful tree lined streets in a lovely flat area of downtown Ross. Walk 100 ft to award winning dining at Marshe Fleur, giant park (Ross commons) with play ground, or corner market all within 300 ft. Incredible hikes and mountain bike rides right from the house via Pheonix Lake and up to lake Lagunitas. Awesome road bike loops out to point Reyes. Getting AroundGreat street parking. Town bus stop about 1000 ft away. Other Things to NoteTown has noise ordinances so probably not the best place for loud parties.

It's beautiful, private, serene, filled with vintage charm, totally functional for relaxed modern living, and perfectly located. The house is a 1903 Victorian rich with history, lovingly renovated to preserve its character. Windows retain their original wavy glass and a 1950's Wedgewood stove rules over the kitchen. The house has large, light-filled spaces and 10' ceilings throughout. BIg windows look out onto a sea of sunny green: gardens, woodland and redwood groves. There are two wood-burning fireplaces, a hot tub and an outdoor fireplace. The property couldn't be more conveniently located: walking distance to Kentfield town center, 1 minute from the main thoroughfare Sir Francis Drake, 5 minutes from HWY 101, 30 minutes from San Francisco, 40 min. from wine country, smack in the middle of the prettiest part of Marin and close to everything. Stetson House is newly redecorated top to bottom with the highest quality custom furnishings, new beds, fresh paint - and feels absolutely clean, open and fresh. Best of all - there are so many spaces to gather! This property is perfect for a family gathering, event or reunion. We've never lived in a house that's better for hosting. Start with a glass of wine on the lawn, move to the dining room for dinner, gather in front of the fire in the living room, end up in the hot tub and the patio for a jam session in front of the outdoor fireplace. Movie night is covered with a full-wall projection system and surround sound. Downstairs can be for the kids, Scrabble at the game table or reading a book by the fire. There are so many unique, lovely touches throughout the house: the old-fashioned front porch, the sweet cottage garden, the vintage stove, the cozy fireplaces, the clawfoot tubs. The 4000 sf main house has 5 bedrooms plus office and sleeps 9 comfortably in real beds. Below the main house is a one-bedroom in-law apartment with its' own entrance, that comfortably sleeps 4, available at an extra charge of $200/night. Rent just the main house or both. The entire 5000 sf house can comfortably sleep 13 people in proper beds. The property is at the dead end of the street, so there is total privacy with no traffic.     The SpaceVery peaceful & private retreat with pool and views. Small but charming. VERY important to note, we have an unbelievably friendly (female) St Bernard mix that lives with us in the main house. She is super sweet, friendly, but she weighs 80 lbs and if you aren't comfortable around big dogs, this might not be the place for you! :-) Guest AccessHeated pool (from April to Oct), great outdoor space, free parking, close to hiking trails, beach & Napa/Sonoma wine area & Stinson Beach/Muir Woods. 3 hours to Lake Tahoe & 15 minutes to SF. Interaction with GuestsA hello to give keys & answer any questions, but other than that, privacy is respected. So, minimal unless required. The NeighborhoodIt is almost always sunny here! It is a beautiful, safe neighborhood and we have access to many biking & hiking trails within minutes. We are also 30 minutes to Sonoma/Wine Country, 30 minutes to Stinson Beach, 20 minutes to San Francisco and 10 minutes to Sausalito, Tiburon, Mt Tam, etc. We are also 3 hours from Lake Tahoe. Great location :-) Getting AroundYes - about a 5 minute walk to a bus that can take you to San Francisco or to the Ferry (which can then take you to many places). But we would still recommend renting a car so you can access all the amazing things to do in the area. Other Things to NoteDog on property if the main house is not rented out - see 'the space' for more information about that. If the house is rented out, there shouldn't be any pets around. San Francisco is 30 min to the south, wine country is 45 min to the north, and all of Marin surrounds you. The cottage is 20 minutes from Golden Gate Bridge, 5 minutes from highway 101 and easy walking distance to brunch or deli in sweet downtown Kentfield. But here's the kicker: it feels totally removed, a secret oasis. It's on a 2-acre gated property covered with woodlands, redwood groves and gardens, and feels totally private. It's a wonderful place to come home to after a busy day. The cottage is sweet, spacious and serene. It is newly renovated with brand-new floors and carpeting, and fresh paint throughout. The living room has a new Restoration Hardware queen sleeper sofa - very comfortable for sitting and sleeping. The dining area seats 4. The large flatscreen TV comes with a premium cable package. Off the living room is a large redwood deck, very private and lovely. You'll see deer on the lawn outside the front door and hummingbirds off the deck almost every day. The kitchen is simply equipped with all the basics: dishwasher, fridge, microwave, toaster, pantry essentials, and high-quality cookware. The bedroom boasts a beautiful new queen-sized solid acacia bed with premium Sealy Posturepedic mattress. It has large windows and lovely light. The bathroom is older and in need of renovating, but is clean and functional. It has a shower (no bath), sink and new toilet. The unit also has a separate laundry room with washer/ dryer.     The SpaceThis gated home is extremely private. It is surrounded by old-growth oak trees and stunning gardens. There are many separate living areas both inside & out, including a 1 bedroom guest cottage (separate rental at 1/2 off if you should need the extra space), a 2 level art studio, heated pool, in-ground trampoline, etc. Traditional/East Coast architecture and remodeled within last 2 years. Amazing views of Mt Tam. Indoor/outdoor living with multiple fireplaces (both 'real' and gas). Guest AccessPool, trampoline, WiFi, Sonos music system throughout house, several indoor & outdoor areas to relax. Outdoor movie theater w fire pit. Interaction with GuestsWe will most likely be away for the length of your stay but will have a caretaker on call if something is needed. If we do not go away we will be staying about a mile away from the house and could come over at short notice if you needed anything. I hope you enjoy the house & property! The NeighborhoodVery quiet, very green (lots of amazingly beautiful old oak trees). Incredible hiking, mountain biking within walking distance & great (food) shopping within 1 mile. 10-15 minutes from SF yet much much better (re: warmer!) weather than the city! 30 mins to Sonoma or to Stinson Beach. 40 mins to Napa, Bolinas/Bodega. 5-7 minutes to Sausalito/Tiburon (which both have ferries that go to/from SF). 3 hours to Lake Tahoe. Getting Around-The ferry to SF is less than 2 miles away and there is a nice bike path that goes directly to it. -Public bus to/from SF (& around Marin) about 1/4 mile away. - By car, getting to Marina District in SF is less than 20 minutes and downtown SF is about 30 minutes. Other Things to NoteWe just had Nike from London rent the property for a month so there are more beds than usual right now. As of today, this is the bed configuration (beds can be taken out as you would like): Master Bedroom: CA king bed Bedroom 1: Two queen beds Bedroom 2: One queen bed Bedroom 3: One full-size bed Bedroom 4: One full-size bed + one twin bed Bedroom 5: Four queen beds and a twin bed (AKA the "bunk room") LR: 2 giant 10' long, single cushion (Restoration Hardware) couches that are wider than a twin bed and very comfortable.                 Our 1890’s Victorian Farmhouse and Barn have recently gone through a complete renovation. The house is in the village of Ross, nestled within walking distance to charming towns of San Anselmo, Ross, Larkspur, and San Rafael in beautiful Marin County. Close to ocean beaches, Within a 30 minute drive of San Francisco, and 30 minutes to Sonoma and Napa, the location has it all. Miles and miles of hiking and biking at our back door. The main house has 5 bedrooms, and 3 1/2 bathrooms. The main floor consists of a living room with wood fireplace, a formal dinning room with a gas fireplace, a kitchen / family room with a gas fireplace, eating nook, large island, and pantry. Large folding doors open up to a wrap around porch (with wood fireplace) for classic California indoor-outdoor living. On the second floor, the master bedroom comes with a king size bed and working wood fireplace. Its master bath includes a rain-shower / steam room, bathtub and separate toilet; a second bedroom with a bunk bed with double beds on top and bottom; a third bedroom with a bunk bed with a double bed and a twin bed on top. All 2200sf thoughtfully planned, this home lives like a dream. Refinished for our family of 5, the master suite is upstairs and the other 3 bedrooms and bath are downstairs. Separate comfy TV/DVR/stereo zones up (living room) and down (family room) mean you can live comfortably as a couple with occasional guests or as a family with teens or younger children.                 This garden apartment is clean, spacious and extremely private. It is on the bottom floor of our private family home, on two acres of gardens, woodlands and redwood groves. The apartment comfortably sleeps 3 and comes with a queen bed and a twin. It has woodland views from every window, and includes a peaceful outdoor seating area. The location of this apartment couldn't be more ideal. It is 2 minutes from charming downtown Kentfield, a minute from Sir Francis Drake (a main thoroughfare), 5 minutes from highway 101, 20-25 minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge, 30 minutes from San Francisco and 40 minutes from wine country. It is in the prettiest part of one of the most beautiful counties in the country - Marin - and close to everything. But here's the kicker: it feels totally removed, at the end of a road, with no traffic noise and total privacy. A secret oasis! Overall the apartment is pretty basic, maybe a little dated, but spacious and comfortable, and in an incredible location. The kitchen is very 1970's, with solid oak cabinets and tile floors and counters, and fully equipped for cooking. The dining area seats 4, and the living area has a flat screen TV with premium cable package. The twin bed is in a nook off the living area. The living/ dining area has sliding glass doors that open onto a small patio with grill and seating looking over the woods.The unit doesn't get lots of direct sunlight but has a nice open feel due to the many windows and sliding glass doors and woodland views. The enclosed bedroom has a very good queen bed and another sliding glass door, giving it lots of light. The bathroom is older and is definitely in need of renovating (particularly the shower), but is clean and functional. It features a smallish shower but no tub. PLEASE NOTE: The Garden Apartment is at the bottom of a long flight of rough, rustic steps. It might not be a match for those with mobility issues. ALSO: This is a ground floor unit in a family home. Guests should expect some muffled noise from footsteps, voices etc. from above. The floor above is carpeted, but it's an historic home and noise does carry. This is not an issue for 99% of our guests but those with extreme noise sensitivity might want to look elsewhere.

                This is a fun, unique unit with a casual treehouse feel. Perfect for the relaxed guest looking for a beautiful place to chill. We use it as a music studio and hangout, for teaching, jamming, watching the game and hanging out with friends. It's the kind of place where you can really relax, spread out, and put your feet up on the furniture. You don't have to worry about playing the TV too loud or knocking over any antiques. Guys, hipsters, free spirits, teens and families with young children tend to love it. The Studio consists of an older one-bedroom quest cottage with a new great room added on. This great room is quite astonishing, with 20' ceilings and walls of windows on three sides looking out over woodlands. It has a large HD flatscreen TV with premium cable package. Off the great room is small deck with a new Weber grill and seating, looking out over the woods. The whole unit has a cool, rec-room/ man-cave vibe, with prints by Banksy and a beat-up painted wood floor in the great room. It has several fun, offbeat features: a leftover exterior window between rooms, 1970's kitchen cabinets that look like they were designed by the Flintstones, etc. We've made sure the unit is entirely set for comfort, though: the bedroom features a new top-quality queen-sized latex mattress, for example, and there's newly installed HVAC. In the bedroom there's a dresser but no closet; guests hang their clothes on a portable garment rack. The bathroom is older and definitely needs renovating but is clean, with a shower. Sun streams through four french doors with a garden view into the eat-in kitchen, which seats 4. The kitchen is small and older but fully stocked and fine for basic cooking. Adjacent is a small sitting area. There is reliable wireless internet throughout. There's a twin bed with trundle in the far corner of the great room, that sleeps an extra two people. The trundle bed is best for a child as it has a typical trundle mattress (not very thick). It's in a quiet, private, dark corner - good for sleeping, though not sound isolated. In another corner of the great room is a small office area. The Studio is totally private but in a sweet, upscale, safe area with neighbors on all sides. The location couldn't be more ideal. It is a minute from the main thoroughfare Sir Francis Drake, two minutes from charming downtown Kentfield, 5 minutes from the highway, twenty minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge, 30 minutes from San Francisco and 40 minutes from wine country. It is in the prettiest part of one of the most beautiful counties in the country - Marin - and close to everything. But here's the kicker: it feels totally removed, with no traffic noise and total privacy. A secret oasis! The Studio comes with one designated parking place. Street parking nearby is extremely limited, and parking of additional cars on the property even for a short time is not permitted. Laundry facilities are available on the property, in a small laundry room for rentals on the basement floor of the main house. But here's the kicker: it feels totally removed, a secret oasis. It's on a 2-acre gated property covered with woodlands, redwood groves and gardens, and feels totally private. It's a wonderful place to come home to after a busy day. The cottage is sweet, spacious and serene. It is newly renovated with brand-new floors and carpeting, and fresh paint throughout. The living room has a new Restoration Hardware queen sleeper sofa - very comfortable for sitting and sleeping. The dining area seats 4. The large flat screen TV comes with a premium cable package. Off the living room is a large redwood deck with Weber grill, very private and lovely. You'll see deer on the lawn outside the front door and hummingbirds off the deck almost every day. The kitchen is simply equipped with all the basics: dishwasher, new fridge, microwave, toaster, pantry essentials. The bedroom boasts a beautiful new queen-sized solid acacia bed with premium Sealy Posturepedic mattress and high-quality new linens. It has large windows and lovely light. The bathroom is older and needs renovating, but is clean. It has a shower (no bath), sink and new toilet. The unit also has a separate laundry room with washer/ dryer. The owners live on the property, in the main house, and are usually available to help with anything you need. PLEASE NOTE: This unit is down a short set of rather rough, rustic steps. Those with mobility issues should consider this when deciding whether to book.
