This small, self contained and private apartment is adjacent to the adult family residence (2 residents) where the 11 year old Birman cat takes pride of place in the family. He will not come inside your private indoor living space (unless you unlock the car door or let him in) but he often does wander the gardens and courtyard, so if you dislike a resident cat living next door, this is probably not for you. Guest AccessYou can come and go through the side gate from the adjoining park into your own courtyard and garden area and the entry to your apartment, in total privacy, and/or share the front of property garage entry by way of a remote auto door opener. There is off street parking available as well.
You have everything you could need within the small home itself; the lounge/kitchen area has bamboo flooring and a comfortable couch and a SMART TV, with Netflix access via the free WiFi. You can enjoy cooking in its sparkling new kitchenette with dishwasher and microwave.
There is a bathroom next to it, with a shower, vanity and an automatic washing machine.
The separate, small bedroom has a new double bed and wall to wall storage. There is your own outdoor seating area by the apartment entry, where you can enjoy meals or just sitting looking into your private native garden area. You can come and go through a side gate as you please! You won't need anything else but we are happy to help you out with extras if you just ask! Interaction with GuestsIt's the best of both worlds here!
We will do all we can to make your stay enjoyable.
You will have as much privacy as you want as you can come and go without passing the main house at all and with us living in the attached house, we are happy to chat anytime about what's on offer locally or answer any other questions you might have! We are well travelled and used Air BnB ourselves when overseas so we have experienced the benefits of guests in a nice shared residence. The privacy here is an added bonus!
We are quiet and respectful of our local neighbours here and of course, we expect the same from our guests. It's in a lovely riverside suburb, the tranquility is the envy of many, and you can enjoy safe and beautiful walks along the river that encircles it, with close access nearby.
CAT WARNING - There is one, old lazy rather vocal family cat, who has the run of all of the outside areas, but he is locked in the main house away from guests at night, and might join guests inside their place if they don't keep the security door/glass sliding doors and cat door switches closed.
Sonny the Wondercat is rather aloof so you my not see him at all as he sleeps inside the main house at night and under bushes during the day. He leaves all the native birds that visit alone, seemingly not aware most cats hunt them! If you cannot be kind and otherwise just avoid him, this is just not the place for you. The NeighborhoodWe love everything about the neighbourhood. Where to start? Breakfast at the cafe, or lunch or dinner at any of the three local options or just ease of shopping for fresh produce at the supermarket, all across the road, to lovely morning and evening walks along the river. A little further stroll or short drive and there are of a couple of fabulous riverside Cafes with food and coffee to die for!

There is direct highway access to the international and domestic airports (T1-T4) on Leach Hwy, the main road just 2 minutes from your door.
We are just 12 kms from the coast and beautiful beaches, and 40 kms to the beautiful ranges and bush walks. Getting AroundThere is a feeder bus at your door, to the local transport hub just 2 kilometres up the road, where you can access trains and buses direct or to connect to anywhere in Perth or surrounding areas of interest. There is also a direct bus at your door to Perth city, if you prefer not to c hangs to a train, although it is quicker! Other Things to NoteThe residents cat, as mentioned before, is old and somewhat shy. He's totally harmless, to guests and birds alike, but if you don't like cats, he won't understand, so this is just not the place for a stay as he might say hello!
