Getting AroundWe are 5 minutes by car and about a half hour walk all down hill from Safed's city center. Every half hour the #3 city bus passes just next to our place ( bus stop is literally across the street) and goes directly to town and costs about 5 NIS or around $1.50 Other Things to NoteOur huts are built for warm weather hosting and so the place is closed for the months of December, January and February. Like camping we cannot be responsible for any changes in weather October/November and March/April are transition months in Israel and there are days that can be very warm and comfortable and there can be days that are cold and rainy so keep this in mind before making your reservation. Even during the hot summer months nights on top of our mountain can be a little chilly so we always recommend that guest bring a sweater/shawl or warm pajamas. IMPORTANT! If you plan to come for the weekend it's important to know that Safed is a small town and most businesses observe the Jewish Sabbath. This means that almost all business and public transportation are closed from Friday late afternoon until Saturday night.

Tsfat is crisp and quiet in the winter season. Come spring, the nearby valleys are filled with spring flowers and almond blossoms, beckoning hikers, bikers and nature lovers. Summer skies are a sapphire blue and, in August, mornings are pierced with the sounds of shofars echoing from ancient synagogues. Gnarled vines with bundles of grapes twist along the alleys, while ruby red pomegranates hang from the trees. Summers are busy with many visitors strolling though the galleries, dining outdoors and visiting the old synagogues. During the Klezmer Festival, Safed transforms as tens of thousands of visitors converge to multiple outdoor stages to hear Klezmer, jazz and modern Israeli music. Shabbat and the Jewish holidays in Tsfat are especially uplifting and are often accompanied by joyous singing, clapping and dancing. Tsfat is also a mystical city and has a deep connection with kabbalah. For those seeking outdoor adventure, beautiful nature, unique art, vibrant culture and spirituality, Tsfat is a jewel in Israel's north. Getting AroundYes, there are buses. The central bus station is a 10-minute walk from the house. There is free parking on the street above the house, accessed by a set of steps. To get to Tsfat from the airport, guests can take a train to Acco or Nahariya, then bus it to Tsfat. Tsfat is centrally located in the north and is a great base to discover the Golan, the Galil and the Kinnereth. We are very happy to help guests plan an itinerary, be it hiking, biking, scenic drives, wine tasting or meeting interesting locals. Other Things to NoteOur preference is for guests to stay a minimum of two nights, however for guests who choose to stay one night only there will be a supplementary fee added to bring the total cost of the stay to a minimum of $900 USD As well, Israeli Citizens are required to pay a tax of 17% that is added to the base price. Foreigners are exempt from the tax as long they provide a picture of the B2 Visa stamp on their passport.

The SpaceIf you want somewhere quiet to stay in the heart of the Artist's Quarter in Safed, why not choose Sharon's Guest House. Location Close to the newly redesigned and rebuilt amphitheater of Hama‎‎'ayan Haradum Square, and just round the corner from the Maximillan Café and the General Exhibition, Sharon's Guest House offers both privacy and convenience. Situated in a no-through road for traffic, Sharon's Guest House is on a quiet land and the beautiful lantern style street lighting in this very sought after area makes it particularly romantic for an evening or nighttime stroll. With a very easy walk to all the galleries and old synagogues in both the Artists Quarter and the Old City, Sharon's is a perfect choice for couples. The Room With its own entrance, just up a few steps from the street, and private bathroom, Sharon's Guest House offers it guests complete privacy from the outside world. The room is delightfully furnished and decorated with a very comfortable double bed with an iron bedstead that fits the ambience of the quarter. The décor itself is color coordinated with prints on the wall, and well chosen bed linen. This all really helps guests to feel relaxed and to unwind while enjoying the peace and quiet of the area. There is plenty of room for your clothes in the spacious wardrobe, and the room comes with a fridge and kettle so that you can keep snacks or drinks cold or make yourself something hot to drink. Tea or coffee is provided. The room is equipped with a table and chairs and there is cable TV situated so that you can watch from the comfort of your bed. The Bathroom The roomy bathroom has a bathtub with a shower inside, so you can indulge in a bubble bath if you like, or take a quick shower if you are in rush or if you are conscientious about water conservation. All the fixtures and fittings in the bathroom have been carefully chosen, and complement the guest room. Sharon Sharon is originally from England, although she has lived in Safed for many years. She runs her guesthouse with aplomb and with a self-deprecating smile that is typically English. Booking Sharon's Guest House is open all year round and is very popular as Sharon has a lot of regular guests who book from year to year. This means it's a good idea to book your stay in advance if you want to be sure to get the dates you want. However, it's always worth trying to see if there is a vacancy at short notice, even in high season, as you might be lucky and get a last minute cancellation. Guest AccessPrivate bath/shower, private entrance, WiFi, cable TV, 5-minute walk to all the Old City synagogues and other cultural, religious and historical sites. Getting AroundThe guesthouse is located within a 5-minute walk of the bus stop and a 10 minute walk of the main bus station. There is easy, free parking next to the house.

The NeighborhoodSukah Ba Galil is located in the historic neighborhood of Kiriyat Sarah.
