For lovers of wildlife there is much to see...
We have seen both osprey and martins catching fish near the municipal quay and there are herons, ducks, cormorants, seagulls and geese in abundance. We often have cardinals on our balcony and plenty of robins in the garden.
Along the Soulanges Trail (and in the neighbouring gardens) there are plenty of rabbits and some muskrat too.
There are a convenience store, a dollar store and an ice-cream parlour within a 10-minute walk from here. There are also two large supermarkets in the area and each is only 5 minutes away by car.
A further bonus to people looking for a little tranquility is that there are nearly 10 public parks in Les Coteaux, some big and some small but all are pretty, clean and quiet. Getting AroundWe are at about 1 hour from Montreal city center by car.
Vaudreuil or Dorion Train Stations are about 25 minutes away by car and from there, you can take the train to Montreal (terminus in the city center) which costs $7 and takes 1 hour.
