The SpaceA comfortable and clean home. Guest AccessYou have access to the whole downstairs area including kitchen, dining and living room and there's a shared bathroom upstairs. There is also a decked garden area with seating. I like people to make themselves at home when they stay. Interaction with GuestsI'm generally out and about so don't have too much interaction and like to leave my guests to make themselves at home, but I'll make sure I'm on hand to say hello and for any queries you may have! The NeighborhoodThe house is set just back from the main road making it easily accessible, but it is also very quiet, peaceful and secure. It's a small road of 10 terraced houses and the neighbours are great. There's loads to do around, from walks along the canal or in National Parks nearby to shopping in Manchester or the Trafford Centre. Plenty of things right on the doorstep! Getting AroundI'm a few hundred yards from a bus stop on the main bus route and a short (5/10 minute) walk to Brooklands tram station. I can provide as much information about getting around as you need, just let me know! Other Things to NoteThe house is situated on a private road where there is plenty of free parking.

The room is decorated in a french cottage style with painted antique furniture and a double cast iron bed with a memory foam mattress and crisp cotton bedding. It also has a wardrobe, chest of drawers, 2 bedside tables, dressing table/desk and hospitality tray with tea/coffee making facilities and fresh milk, biscuits and chocolates. The SpaceComfortable double room in a Victorian Townhouse in Sale is available. Please note that we've just finished some work on the room so it looks a little different from the photos on here (just waiting for new ones to be added). It's now slightly smaller - but the added bonus is that you get your own ensuite! All guests will have access to The Internet ,Wi-Fi , Cable TV, Kitchen and washing machine. Local shops, restaurants, pubs, takeaways and free cashpoint are on our door step. There are 3 metro stops within walking distance which go directly to Manchester city centre (tram takes 15 mins) ,upon arrival you can enjoy Manchester's architecture, shopping and the famous Northern quarter,.... There is parking available on the road outside, and we are very convenient for motorways and the airport (pick ups at an extra cost with advanced notice). There is a bus route which goes directly into the city centre & airport, right outside the house. For Man Utd fans, we are only 3 stops away from Old Trafford on the metro. We are Alison & Tris and we are relaxed, friendly hosts who will be on hand to help plan your trips if needed.

Interaction with GuestsI always like to meet my guests on arrival and am always available on my mobile phone. The Neighborhood5 minute walk to an adequate mini supermarket, newspapers, Post Office etc, excellent Chinese take away/deliver, up market fish and chip shop, chemist, hairdresser and barber. 12 minutes into village for a wider choice of shops including two butchers, two bakers, cafes and restaurants. Lots of Indian, Chinese, Kebab and pizza delivery services in a 2 mile radius. Easy connections to mainline rail and coach travel depots, economic taxi services. Getting AroundEasy access to the Metrolink for Manchester Airport or Manchester main line railway stations. Other Things to NoteI have a resident, house trained, friendly cat. She has a box in the utility and a cat flap for in and out so is totally independent though she loves strokes and tickles. Some quirky features and lots of books help make this a nice restful space to relax and sleep. Downstairs there are more books, a meditation space, squishy sofa; plus modern kitchen and bathroom with shower, toilet, p-shaped bath and wash basin. Note the bathroom is on the ground floor. Guest AccessNo 8 has a little flower-filled backyard with a private place to sit in the sunshine. Access to the house is from the front through a gate and a small colourful garden. There is a bike cupboard for guest use at the back of a small traditional hallway. Interaction with GuestsThe host, Penny is usually available at check in and out. But if not she is easily accessible and not far away at her acupuncture clinic. Penny is very happy to answer guests' questions about the local area and has lots of information on attractions, including Sale Water Park, the Trafford Centre and Dunham Massey. Trams run to and from the City until midnight. The NeighborhoodThe green space opposite is a real feature as it reminds people of a London park surrounded by houses. Walk through the park and you are in the town centre with all the amenities accessible in 5 mins. The Bridgewater Canal is also 2 mins away and provides a green corridor in an urban setting. Cycle or walk along the beautiful restored towpath all the way to Manchester or Dunham Massey. The tram stop is 10 mins stroll away. The neighbourhood is considered very safe and friendly. Getting AroundYour car can be left free of charge on the road outside no 8 and Penny will keep an eye on it if you plan to be away. You can reach the Airport in 15 mins by taxi, 40 mins by tram and 55 mins by bus. The tram takes 15 mins to Manchester City Centre and 10 mins to Altrincham, where you can catch a train to Chester. Manchester United's ground is 2 miles away and City is five miles away - both accessible by tram. Here there are many bars, restaurants, canal side pubs, shops and banks etc. The Waterside Theatre in Sale is also very popular. The metrolink, from Sale to Manchester takes approximately 10 minutes Other Things to NoteWe are situated in the Ashton on Mersey area of Sale, Cheshire. This is a ten minute walk to the town centre and metro link. The journey to Manchester city centre by tram is 10 minutes, or Altrincham, in the other direction takes 6 minutes.
