Summersville is 3 miles on paved road. The senior center on the square serves lunch M-F, 11:00-12:30. C.J.'s Restaurant is now open!
Other restaurants are in Eminence, Mountain View and Houston.
Eminence, 17 miles east on #106, is a floater's/fisherman's destination resort town where the crystal clear Current and Jacks Fork rivers meet! Horseback riding, antiques and and flea markets! A must-see is Alley Spring and Mill, 15 minutes east of us on #106. It is in Ozark National Scenic Riverways park.
Mountain View has a nice movie theater, a smaller Wal Mart and flea markets.
Houston offers the same, with a Wal Mart super center.
Summersville has an 1888 flour mill museum, tours by appt; grocery store, bank, post office, laundromat, Dollar General, 2 gas stations/convenience stores with fast food (pizza, chicken, etc.), Larry's Lube-mechanic, bank, ATM, gift/flower shop; WIFI in library and sr center. VFW has a great bluegrass show every Saturday night at 7:00. **Sorry, no restaurant as of Nov. 2016, but neighboring town restaurants are nearby.
