There are numerous pubs on the weirs with a collection of canal boats and picturesque scenery. Getting AroundBuses run every 15 minutes to both Bath and Bristol from outside the cottage. The buses are less frequent in the evening. I am 5 minutes to the cycle path which provides a beautiful 'flat' route between Bath and Bristol with picturesque views. Other Things to NoteThe cottage is situated on the A4. There is some road noise but it doesn't seem to bother most guests and friends that stay over.

The SpaceBethany is a relaxed country cottage with a vintage twist. It used to be a worker's cottage for a nearby country estate but has been much modernised and expanded since. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the city so if you are looking for relaxation Bethany is for you. But you can dip into heritage, culture, countryside, great dining and maybe even a spot of cider tasting whenever you want. There are two bathrooms shared between two guest rooms, each with a shower, toilet and sink. Guest AccessGuests are free to use their room throughout the day. They can also relax in the lounge and use the garden and summer house at their leisure. Guests staying for a week or more can also have access to the kitchen and have space allocated in cupboards and a fridge. We also have space to store and wash down bikes or motorbikes. Interaction with GuestsWe would be more than happy to help you plan your stay and can make recommendations for places to eat and drink if you let us know what you like. I work in heritage so can give you the inside view on the things to do in the area - it's my job! The NeighborhoodBethany is set on the hill above the friendly small village of Corston. It is home to around 500 people and dates from Saxon times. All Saint's Church dates from the 12th century and is grade 2 listed. The village is a pleasant 6-7 minute walk down a hidden 'snicket' or pathway with steps. The village has a shop and post office which provides all the basic essentials like newspapers and drinks. There is also a recreation ground and riverside stroll in the village centre. There are three pubs all serving food within one and a half miles of Bethany and even more choice within two miles. Bethany is 4 miles west of Bath and 7 miles east of Bristol. The cities provide an interesting contrast to each other; 'like chalk and cheese'. Bath is a 'grown up' city with stunning Georgian architecture; designated a World Heritage site. It is very safe and pleasant to walk around. You can see the main sights in a day but there is plenty more to explore on a longer trip (we are still discovering things!). It is a great place to try a cocktail in one of the many underground (or above ground!) bars and has a fantastic choice of restaurants. Bristol is a vibrant city and the European green capital for 2015. It is full of contrasts from the Banks graffiti in the city centre to sophisticated village feel of Clifton and the stunning suspension bridge. There is plenty to do and it is also a great city for families to explore. Apart from the cities there is plenty of quintessentially English countryside to explore. The Cotswold lie to the north and the Mendips and Somerset levels to the south. A short car ride away you can explore the city of Wells and it's stunning cathedral, Cheddar Gorge (the largest in the UK), Wookey Hole caves, many country walks, Glastonbury Tor, Stonehenge, Tyntesfield and Dyram Park; both typical English country estates. Just ask; we'd be happy to help you plan your visit. Getting AroundBethany in a lovely countryside location so a car is a real bonus for getting around. Free secure parking is included in the room rate for guests. The X39 bus service runs from Bath to Bristol and you can catch this from the bottom of the hill. The bus stop is around ten minutes walk from Bethany and along country lanes so bring stout footwear if you'd like to use the bus. During the day buses are around every 15 minutes and cost approx. £4.50 into Bath. There is a park and ride service into Bath situated 2 miles away and we are also happy to recommend parking in Bath itself which is around £8.50 for the day. There are national train connections to both Bath and Bristol train stations. A taxi into Bath will cost around £12.50

The SpaceWe have a bespoke and beautifully crafted Garden Cabin nestled in our garden. There is a double bed with brand new memory topped mattress (April 2016). Set in a lovely quiet corner of Bath offering stunning views. Originally designed for visiting family and friends, it is small yet perfectly formed. It is fully double glazed with lovely underfloor heating and has been certified by guests as cosy at -5 degrees. There are tea and coffee making facilities, a small fridge as well as a hairdryer. There is a TV in the cabin and good Wifi access. There is an en suit shower room with a generous sized shower. A breakfast basket is provided each morning containing a variety of cereals, fresh fruit, toast and home-made jam and marmalade. This is provided along with a choice of tea or 'plungy' coffee. We are delighted to have hosted people from all over the world who are visiting Bath for both business and pleasure. We find guests really enjoy the privacy, independence, tranquillity and quality service of the Cabin. The space is compact and generally guests use it as a base from which to explore and rest in. There is space under the bed to accommodate large cases but you may find it easier bringing a smaller overnight case for your Garden Cabin escape! Guest AccessThe cabin has independent private access meaning you can come and go as you wish with a key provided. There is a set of decking steps down to the cabin and whilst most people can negotiate the route with no problems at all it wouldn't be suitable for people with mobility issues. Interaction with GuestsSomeone is generally around day and night with the exception of school pick up times. I have lived in Bath for 14 years and my husband has grown up in the area. We love Bath and the surrounding area and are only too happy to help our guests get the most from their stay. The NeighborhoodLocated at the top of Weston village, our cosy cabin has the advantage of being close enough to local village amenities and Bath city centre (5-10 min drive) yet you can wake up in the morning to bird song and the distant sound of cows and sheep in the fields across the valley. With easy access to all that Bath has to offer such as the Thermae Spa (don't forget your swimming stuff!), the Roman Baths, world renowned architecture, and highly regarded independent shops we are ideally located for whatever you decide to do during your stay. Getting AroundThere is ample free parking outside the house and a bus stop 50 meters away. The No8 bus route to Upper Weston passes every 30 mins and takes about 20mins to get into the city centre. The last bus back is 11.30pm. It is a 10 minute taxi ride to the centre. Lansdown park and ride is a 3 minute drive away. Bath Spa train station is on the main line to London, Bristol, South Wales and Cornwall. There is also a great public transport service to Bristol Airport and a quick drive through the countryside takes you to the M4. Other Things to NoteAs I have a young family, I am regularly out of the house during the day. I like to know when people will check in so I can try and plan my day around your plans - so please let me know in advance when you will be arriving. If I can't be around then I will leave instructions how to access the Cabin. Please bear in mind our lovely Cabin is not slap bang in the city centre. As stated many time in the description it is a 5 min drive away yet some guests still mark us down on Location ratings when reviewing us :( It is incredibly quick and easy to get into the centre and our nightly rate does reflect the fact it is not in the middle of Bath. Please consider this before booking - we promise you a great, peaceful and high quality stay but we can't pick up and move the Cabin :) On week days I will be doing the school run from 08:15-09:15 and 15:00-16:15.

The SpaceThe cottage has a lot of character. Easy access to Bath and Bristol with buses running every 15mins up until 2 in the morning. You can walk straight into the countryside from the cottage and experience beautiful strolls. There is an arts cycle path 10minutes away which is popular for tourists which links between the cities. The river has 3 popular pubs on the weirs surrounded by canal boats and incredible views. Interaction with GuestsI like to welcome guests when I can. However, I'm also often away. I would always leave instructions and pointers of where to go! The NeighborhoodIt's a friendly place to stay with good neighbours Getting AroundThere is a bus stop outside the cottage. The buses run every 15mins. It takes about 20mins to get to Bath and 35 minutes to Bristol. The Avon Valley cycle path gives you easy access to both cities. The scenic route is stunning and quite flat! There are art trails on this route. Taxi's run from both cities Other Things to NoteThe cottage is close to the A4 road which can be busy at times. However, you have a 5 minute walk down to the river and tranquility.

There are three bathrooms shared between the guest rooms, each with a shower or bath, toilet and sink. Guest AccessAll rooms are available for guests to relax in apart from the study. The kitchen is well equipped for making family meals and there is a good size dining room that will seat 8 easily. Interaction with GuestsThe guests have full private use of the house for the duration of the (URL HIDDEN) would be more than happy to help you plan your stay and can make recommendations for places to eat and drink if you let us know what you like. It is full of contrasts from the Banksy graffiti in the city centre to sophisticated village feel of Clifton and the stunning suspension bridge.
