The SpaceWe have 2 huts for rent, each has a room with double bed, a bathroom, fridge, fan and mosquito net. The big one also has an open plan kitchen with gas heater. The other 2 huts are inhabited by the family. The huts are harmoniouly organized in a great garden, and the swimming pool- adapted to the needs of the children as well as the adults- is in the center. The place is lively: 2 dogs, 1 cat, fruits, vegetables, flowers... You will be suite apart from the center of town and it is best to go to the beach by car (10 min max); we have very reliable taxi drivers to recommand. The place is very peaceful and you will be probably woken up by birds singing in the morning. Guest AccessYou will have free access to the garden and the pool. You will have Wifi connection. The washing machine is available in the family hut. Interaction with GuestsWe will be available for you and will be pleased to share our experience and our knowledge of the country (my husband being Senegalese). For lunch, will will have the opportunity to share our Senegalese dish served in a common bowl (as long as you let us know in advance and contribute to the expense). In the evening, you can be delived a dish to your hut. Our 2 kids (4 and 8) will probably come and say hello and talk with you.
Our Nephew, who takes care of the place, will find efficient solution to any of your problems. He also ensures the security of the site. The NeighborhoodThe quarter of Velingara is slightly away from the center of town, which ensures quietness and intimacy, which represents a more authentic experience than the hotels of the seaaside. The shops around provide the essential products. the sea resort with its beaches, swimming pools, restaurants... is 10 min away by car.
M'bour, the closest city, is 10/15 min away. Its well-known fishing harbour will delight you with its colours, its authenticity and folklore. Getting AroundIf you don't have a car, we can recommend you our taxis drivers, either from Dakar, or from the center of Saly. They will safely lead you to our place (we are a few minutes from the main road by foot, a little more than 1 hour from Dakar with the highway). Here, using taxis is very frequent, as there are not many public transportations. There are reliable (at least those we know!) and good value for money. Other Things to NoteEach hut has one bedroom with a double bed; a guest bed can be added in the big hut, if a couple comes with children.
In case of a longer stay, the cleaning of the housing will be taken care of.
