The SpaceLocated in a small town that will allow you to experience this region of Mexico! With the owners living on the property and knowing the locals, you will have the opportunity to meet with neighbors and business owners to get an authentic experience. Guest AccessThe bathroom is shared and all amenities are available - bathroom essentials, towels, blankets, WiFi, etc. Interaction with GuestsAs much/little as you prefer. The NeighborhoodEverything is within walking distance - the food, the events, the stores, etc. Fresh tortillas across the street! Getting AroundYou can walk just about everywhere. If you are interested in something farther away there are moto taxis and regular taxis all over that can take you where you want to go. Other Things to NoteJanuary 22-31 (2016) is the largest festival of the year!! Dancing, parades, rodeos and so much more! This town LOVES parties! If you are here they invite you to everything - birthday parties, holiday parties, even weddings so that you can have the experience! The famous painter Enrique Flores is from here and has a beautiful studio that you are able to tour. Our neighbors are AMAZING and invite us over for almost every meal - for a small fee you can taste the traditional cooking of Huitzo. Honestly it's better than any restaurant we have been to in Oaxaca City. There are museums and pyramids only 15 minutes away! What's even better is that these pyramids are not packed with tourists. Oaxaca City is only a short drive away via taxi. :)
