If any questions come up or you need something, just let me know. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is one of the many older neighborhoods in the city. It's really close to downtown, which is very convenient and one of the biggest draws of this home. The downtown area has many great coffee shops, wine bars, restaurants, shopping, etc. There's also a park only a block away with an outdoor fitness center, basketball court, playground, and community garden. It's also conveniently located near the 101 North & South freeway on ramps, which is nice for getting around quickly. It is also very close to the trail head of Cerro San Luis (commonly known as Madonna Mountain). Getting AroundStreet parking is free and always available. There is a bus stop a block away from the home. The main bus transit center is about a 15-20 minute walk downtown. Bikes are available for rent (2 beach cruisers) but they're subject to availability. There are also a couple other bike rental places within close proximity as well if you wanted a mountain bike or other kind. Other Things to NoteI do provide a binder of information about the city, including things to do, places to see, restaurant recommendations, wineries, etc. I was born and raised here in San Luis Obispo so if you have any questions I am happy to answer them. I love this town and I hope you enjoy your time here and are able to see why we love living here so much.

There is a grass lined seasonal creek in the rear of the property under sycamore and pepper trees. When you arrive you will be greeted with soft background music playing through remote speakers from the iPod. Auxiliary cord can be used for listening to your personal iTunes Library, or music streaming on your mobile device. The sloStudioLoft has been recently renovated providing you and your guests all the amenities you may need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The high ceiling and loft provide a feeling of spaciousness; our guests enjoy the kitchenette, bar, dining area, and flat screen satellite TV without ever feeling "cramped". The kitchenette (see photos) includes a 2-burner gas stove, mini fridge, counter-top convection oven, and a microwave. It is well stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal including dishes, glassware, silverware, pots and pans, bowls, knives, spices and cooking utensils. Enjoy dining indoors or outdoors on the beautiful stone patio. Seating for 6 (++). The outdoor propane grill is great for pool-side, summer-time, or any-time BBQ's. A comfortable double bed futon/sofa now provides an additional sleep and lounging area down below. ***We also have a very comfortable queen-sized 6" foam floor pad with linen, pillows, comforters, and additional towels, all available for your children or additional guests. The newly redesigned and upgraded bathroom, shower & laundry room are accessed through a doorway for your private use. (We sometimes share the laundry, accessed by an outer locked door for your privacy.) The private and secluded travertine stone patio winds around the pool and opens out through a gated lawn-banked seasonal creek. All outdoor area is private and available just for you during your stay. Our friendly, family golden retriever "Sadie" may want to play with you, but just close the blinds. She'll get the hint. Guest AccessOur guests enjoy a private, keyless entrance to the the sloStudioLoft. The entry door opens to a private patio and sun-warmed pool & slide in the summer (May-September). Guests enjoy sunbathing on the secluded patio lounge furniture throughout the year. The gated and fenced seasonal creek-side lawn area is a safe place for your non-barking dog to roam if you choose to bring along your pup (see "Pets" below). Laundry facilities available; please be conscious of our SLO water shortage and California drought. We respect your privacy, but are available to make your stay as comfortable as possible; please let us know in advance if you have any special needs. •Pets There is a $25 Pet Cleaning Fee. Pets will be charged as an additional person/per day ($15/day). Pet owners will assure that their dog is respectful of the Property, not allow barking, and avoid leaving pet alone in the StudioLoft, unless host is available to help care for your pup during your absence. •PROPERTY AGREEMENT We ask that our guests read and agree to comply with our Prop. Agreement which you will receive after booking via email, and sign upon arrival. The pool is an amenity. There may be a rare occasion that pool maintenance must be done in order to comply with providing a safe and sanitary environment for our guests. •Taxes Airbnb rate does not yet include 13% San Luis Obispo Bed and new County Tourism Tax. We ask that you pay the tax upon arrival. Thank you for your compliance with this new San Luis Obispo City and County ordinance. Interaction with GuestsWe want you to feel as though you belong right at home here at the sloStudioLoft. Therefore we will message you easy check-in instructions. Please review carefully prior to your arrival. Your privacy is important to us during your stay, although we are always available if you need anything. We will provide you with a "pre-visit" email list of "what-to-do" and "where-to-go" in SLO that may be helpful in planning your activities and making reservations. When you arrive you'll find a "Concierge Binder" describing some of our favorite Bars, Beaches, Restaurants, Galleries and Wineries, and Trips and Trails, as a resource for your convenience during your stay, including brochures to review. The NeighborhoodOur quiet and very safe neighborhood is on a cul-de-sac, therefore minimal car traffic is rarely heard. In the mornings you can hear the birds singing in the trees surrounding the property. This is an exceptionally secluded, upscale residential neighborhood including young families with children, as well as older, retired couples who built their own homes 30+ years ago. Please be respectful, and monitor the "noise level" of your group or party after hours. Getting Around• Uber: now available here in SLO Our guests love the local safe and friendly drivers for quick trips downtown for dinner or "bar-hopping." Some of the drivers are also available for a "Private Chauffeured Wine Tasting Tour of SLO County." A day rate is predetermined by you (can be very reasonable). • Local Bus: San Luis Obispo Regional Transit Authority Our local city bus transit is a 4 minute walk, just 3 blocks to the corner. #1 Bus Stop- SLO City Transit, which takes you to the Downtown City Center, approximately a 10 minute bus-ride. From there transfers are available all over the county including Hearst Castle. • Amtrak Train: Scenic California Coast: Coast Starlight - Seattle - Los Angeles Pacific Coast Surfliner - San Luis Obispo - Santa Barbara - Los Angeles - San Diego • San Luis Obispo Regional Airport (SBP) Great way to get here in about an hour from SFO, LAX, or PHX non-stop, adding a minimal amount to your R/T ticket if you do not want to drive (although I wouldn't miss SB, BigSur, Carmel, etc). Other Things to NoteWe have recently spent a lot of love-filled energy and time remodeling and renovating our home to improve the comfort and beauty we have come to enjoy. After booking we will send you an email including a Prop. Agreement and Pool Waiver for your review at home, and then signature upon your arrival. We hope you will "holiday" here in SLO for a day or more so that you too can appreciate some of the beauty that surrounds us here on the Central Coast. Thursday Downtown Farmer's Market, beaches, hiking trails, biking trails, downtown boutique shopping, concerts in the plaza, wine-tasting and semi-annual wine festivals, music festivals, film festivals, jazz festivals, and so much more! All of this is only minutes away! Our rates are lower in the fall, winter, and spring. During the summer we know you'll enjoy your secluded patio, pool & slide during your stay!

The SpaceThis studio apartment has everything you need for a perfect stay in San Luis Obispo. Our beautiful home has a guest studio on the ground level, with a separate entrance, small deck, and completely private bedroom, bathroom, and kitchenette. The main room has a new queen bed with a padded headboard for comfortable reclining, and colorful, modern decor. The small bar table/stools are perfect for a light breakfast or snack, and the reading chair and foot stool provide a place to relax with a great book or your laptop. Although there is NO TV in the room , we will provide you with access to the house WiFi for use with your personal device. The small hallway has a luggage rack and closet to store your belongings out of the way. In the kitchenette we have provided a microwave, mini-refrigerator, and a Kuerig single cup coffee maker. Coffee pods, creamer/sugar, and tea bags will be set out for your enjoyment. The kitchen is stocked with water and wine glasses, plates and bowls, utensils and coffee mugs. The utility bathroom has a very small shower, toilet, and vanity--all fixtures are clean and new! A hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner, and lotion are available for your use. If the weather is nice, have a glass of wine outside on the small deck that is just for you! Please note that there is no air conditioning in the studio as hot weather is very rare in San Luis Obispo, but a ceiling fan has been newly installed for your comfort (not pictured in room photos). Guest AccessPark in the cul-de-sac along the curb opposite our home (to avoid the basketball hoop in front). Walk up the mulched pathway to the left of the main staircase, through the open gate, and make yourselves at home in the studio. I will leave the door unlocked with keys inside, so you may enter whenever you arrive. The small patio at the entrance to your room is yours to enjoy. Please do not continue around the corner into the back yard--this is our family space. If you need anything, please email or text and I will respond promptly. Interaction with GuestsWe will always be at home during your stay, and will be available to make sure you are comfortable. We are thrilled to share our 20 years' experience of living in SLO by giving our best tips and recommendations of things to do and places to go. However, your apartment is completely private, so often we will not cross paths during the course of your stay unless you need us! We are careful to keep our daily living noise quiet (our quarters are located above yours), and appreciate the same courtesy from you. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is the best of both worlds--an easy walk (20 min) or bike ride (10 min) along the paved bike path that parallels the train tracks into downtown...but also a quiet cul-de-sac with lovely homes and easy parking. Directions to walk to downtown from the studio, along with recommendations for walkable breakfast destinations, are listed in the room. Getting AroundI am happy to help you navigate our public transportation system when you arrive. Other Things to NoteWe have been hosting with Airbnb for a year now, and are committed to providing our guests with a wonderful experience while sharing our home. We have been thrilled with the warm, positive responses we have received from the people who have stayed with us. Thank you!

The SpaceThus is a unique experience. My friends want to stay there when they visit. Yes it's just a shed in my back yard. You'll share the yard with chickens, a turtle and possibly an opossum or two. You never know. But be brave. An opossum is a very nice animal. The house is near and the back door open. All in all its a charming and fun place to stay. Certainly out of the ordinary. Does have excellent broad band but in the shed. A propane heater is available if it gets cold. There's even a fire pit outside if you want right outside your door. You will have access to our eclectic home and bathrooms. Your gonna love this place if your considering staying in "The Shed" but keep in mind it's much like luxury camping. The Shed is just that, a shed with a clean fresh and comfortable bed. For $65 it's a deal for those on a tight budget. : ) Warning: even with the propane heater The Shed can be cold in winter. It's not designed to be air tight so it's really not possible keep it warm when it gets really cold like 45° or below outside. There's a gong outside your room. A pond and chicken coup in the back yard. Persimmon, lemon and fig trees. A hammock too and back yard deck. USA is not known for its great public transportation system but there is a bus stop just down the street. The train station is only 1/4 mile away and can easily be walked to. And you never know, I may pick you up. Well the walls of the shed are not air tight. It can be cold out there. We've added a great little propane heater buddy and the down comforter and ample blankets will keep you toasty warm. A warm mate of course would help if your lucky enough to have one. We don't recommend cuddling an Opossum however if your lucky enough to be visited by one. : ) You will have access to our eclectic home and bathrooms. Your gonna love this place if your considering staying in "The Shed" but keep in mind it's much like luxury camping. The Shed is just that, a shed with a clean fresh and comfortable bed. For $75 it's a deal for those on a tight budget. : ) or if you just like adventure and something a bit different. There's a gong outside your room. Private bathroom with bathtub/shower. Very clean and very comfortable in a quiet neighborhood of beautiful Victorian homes. Parking is readily available either in the driveway or on the street Wireless internet. There are additional outside sitting areas on front porch and in the secluded back yard. You are welcome to put items in the refrigerator but general kitchen privileges are not included. There is a hot water kettle in the sitting room with teas and instant coffee. One of the reasons I so enjoy renting out my rooms is that I get to meet so many interesting individuals from all over. I try to be sensitive to each person's need for privacy but I am usually around and very willing to suggest restaurants and things to do. The City of San Luis Obispo recently began collecting transient occupancy taxes(TOT) at 10%and starting 7/1/15 a tourism tax (1%) on short term rentals. The total 11% tax is included in the room rate that is posted. Guest AccessYou are welcome to put items in the refrigerator and boil water if need be but general kitchen privileges are not included. The SpaceCity TOT taxes (10%) will be collected upon arrival, they are not included in your initial fees. Our pricing is based on beds/rooms used. Each room is $85 if using one bed (all are doubles). Additional people are $15 each if using the same room. If you state your needs (beds and rooms needed) when contacting us we can reduce the flurry of emails! Camping with your own gear is $25/person or $35/couple. Rustic and clean resource conscious home with bohemian ambience. One of a kind place full of collectibles and custom constructions/furnishings and a semi wild garden. One shared bathroom with stainless steel shower, custom tiled floor and antique fixtures. All our beds are slightly unconventional (roughly 50" X 72"), either foam pads or futon pads. They are harder than the usual set ups but the vast majority of guests find them to be just fine. If you must have conventional beds then I urge you to use any of our many other airbnb accommodations in SLO. We are a short walk to cafes, sandwich shops, the train station and the heart of town. There is a small archery range, bbq set up, many decks and patios to hang out on if desired. Splendid view of the town and our famous Seven Sisters mountain range to the west. We have a small hiking hill just outside the back fence. Wine tasting, beaches, hiking (one popular hike is right outside our back gate!) and boating available as well as many musical, cultural and artistic events throughout the year. Share your stay here with two small marvelous dogs and a cat. We welcome your well mannered animal companions but hope you will manage them. We welcome kids of all ages as well. I stress our passion for conservation, we hope our guests will be thoughtful when using our facilities. If we waste resources what will the next generations have? We're a couple of empty-nesters who love travel and meeting people from around the world. We have two spare bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the possibility to open out a futon sofa into a double bed or put an air bed on the floor, and another with a queen bed. They share a bathroom. Tom is a chocolate-maker, cook, food science professor, speaker of French and German, and doer of good deeds, and I am a retired teacher, home and garden tender, and lover of beauty and the world.

The SpaceI own a mobile home in the best mobile home community in the county, called CREEKSIDE. I live right in front of the Park where the creek runs. No homes across the street, just the Park where you can hear owls at night and frogs during the day and evening. The park has an outdoor swimming pool and indoor jacuzzi. Trader Joes is across the street, so is Starbucks. A local cafe is down the street about a half mile... I have 2 cats, brother and sister (2 years old). Bike Friendly city. Weather is super/paradise (cool in the evenings), 15min from the ocean at Avila or 20min to Shell Beach/Pismo. Downtown with shops and cool cafes, music clubs, theatre and restaraunts is about 2 miles away. I recommend the local food Big Sky restaurant, the Palm theatre, Kreuzeberg or Linnaeas Cafe, Bliss Cafe with their beautiful outdoor patio facing the creek. Another fine cafe in the funky cool area near the Amtrak station is Sally Loo's: (URL HIDDEN) Avila Hotsprings is 10 minutes away where they have a large pool, hot sulfur baths, and a restaurant: (URL HIDDEN) Sycamore Resort is more pricey yet more elegant with private hot tubs and add about another 7 minutes away: (URL HIDDEN) Guest Accesstheir private room and private bathroom and access to the kitchen.. and access to the jacuzzi and pool and clubhouse that also has a kitchen and library. Interaction with Guestssome, depending on their schedule. I have had longs talks with people as well as very short ones. It all depends on the circumstances and how busy they are or I am on that particular day or days. The NeighborhoodIts like a village with a park, clubhouse with pool and jacuzzi, a library, a park and the creek that is accessible. also a bike trail that takes about 20-25 minutes that has a beginning and an end back to the Village, I like to call it a village since traffic is 10 mph, dogs (on leashes) and cats roam the friendly streets. Getting Aroundyes, about a block away there is public transit, in front of the Trader Joes/Food4Less complex. Other Things to NoteOnly 2 months at a time

The SpaceEven if my calendar seems 'full' for your target date get in touch anyway, we can often handle more than the site indicates. TOT city taxes (11%) are collected upon arrival. Our pricing is based on beds/rooms used. One bed in one room is $85. Additional people (after two) are $15 each if using the same room. If you state your needs (beds and rooms needed) when contacting us we can reduce the flurry of emails! Sustainability and conservation are hallmarks of our lifestyle here. Tight showers are very critical for conservation. This unique property is charming to those with eclectic tastes. Very quiet neighborhood yet just a 15 minute walk to the middle of downtown. We have private rooms (not large!) for singles, doubles and we can even accommodate kids and pets; and there is camping, either on our lawn or decks in back. Most of our beds are firm, comfortable foam padding on wood or futon pads; you'll be sleeping on custom tie-dyed sheets. Sunset views to the west and our most elegant two of the Seven Sisters Mountains is superb. We are a short walk to downtown with food and drink available nearby in the historic RR district. We have three small dogs and a cat, all friendly. This place is rustic, funky, artistic and a work in progress. There are some loose ends, a few weeds sharing the large and semi wild garden, and projects in progress. A few Daddy Longlegs and some other harmless spiders keep the fly population down. This is not an antiseptic, sterile environment. We don't have fifty pillows on the bed to drive you nuts, we have one pillow/person. We practice respect for the planet and real conservation of resources to reduce our carbon footprint. At no loss to creature comfort we urge all our guests to respect our desires to offer a unique experience while consuming less in the process- in that way you honor yourself, your hosts and our Earth that gives us everything we have. We also have BBQ facilities and plenty of wood if you desire to cook and eat here in that manner. High-speed wireless is available as well as a small archery range with three bows and many arrows if you want to sharpen your zen skills. SLO is a special place at the very top of Southern California with great weather and many cultural events and outdoor activities that include hiking, biking, ocean thingies like surfing, tanning and dune exploring. There are streams and lakes as well, one lake right in town! We have one of the few drive-in theaters (The Sunset) left in the USA (marvelous swap meet there early Sunday mornings). We have the only solar powered theater in the USA (The Palm Theater) that runs foreign films and the few quality American made films. Our historic Fremont theater is a fantastic 1100 seat Art Deco movie house from 1942 where first run movies and many live events are held. The town is alive with many locally owned coffee places (don't go to Starbucks!!!) and independent restaurants (avoid corporate chains). There is the ever-present wine industry with all its fluff and circumstance and our famous Thursday night Farmers Market that brings 35,000 people to the center of town. Lots of art galleries and the ever present mindless shopping for those with too much money.
