The SpaceTHE HOUSE and separate private cabana are perched on the edge of a cliff. The sights and sounds of the Pacific are all right in front of you. On the ground floor of the main house is a large open concept space, with a futon couch, giant TV, internet, a well equipped easy to use kitchen. (I love to cook) and a spacious veranda with a spectacular view.
Upstairs is a very large completely open air palapa with a double bed and pavillon, a hammock and chairs to relax and enjoy the Ocean vistas. An ideal space for Yoga and meditation it is totally private from the other rooms. A few steps below the main house is a private cabana with double bed, armoire and desk. The cabana has it´s own cliff side patio, perfect for sunset and moon rise. From the main house there are stairs to the cabana and all the way to sea pools in the rocks below. When the sea is calm these are lovely places to explore with a large variety of colourful tropical fish.
Both the main house and the cabana are steps away from a large bath. The view from the shower you must experience to believe. The bathroom is an ecco toilet which recycles waste and gives back to the garden. My home is not a luxury condo with pool and all the amenities. It is a private, secure beautiful space where you will be welcomed and cared for.
Punta Bunada sin/num, Col. Punta Banada Puerto Angel Oaxaca Mexico Guest AccessGuests have access to all rooms including a lock up room for camera´s computers etc. The property managers both called Guadalupe! ( Lupe and Lupita for short) will be tending the garden three times a week, respecting your privacy but always on call to answer questions and provide assistance. Interaction with GuestsI do not live on the property. I have a small casa de campo at Ranchito Corzon fifteen minutes away and if I am not travelling I am happy to be of assistance. But trust me. Lupe and Lupita are angels! I have been a member of their family for 22 years. My home and garden is as much their´s as mine. The NeighborhoodThe barrio itself Punta Bañada is very very quiet. Not many houses at all STILL... except for a condo down the road. It is completely safe to walk 5 minutes into town day or night BUT there are taxi´s eager to take you anywhere and I have a list of my favorite drivers available. Lupe is also quite willing to take you places for the going rate. PUERTO ANGEL IS NOT A TOURIST TOWN BUT PEOPLE ARE HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY EVEN IF YOUR SPANISH IS RUDIMENTARY. O yes, bring a good flash light. Always helpful on the road to town at night. Street lights??? Ahhhh sometimes. Smile.
Safe, rural, no problems AT ALL. Getting AroundRenting a car is a great idea if you fly to Huatulco. But Public Transportation is abundant... collectivo´s and taxi´s. As mentioned I have drivers and their phone numbers available... but the pace is SLOW best to call n advance. Part of the charm. Other Things to NoteI will provide a list of places to visit -- waterfalls, whale watching, rafting, and hanging out at one of the 5 0R 6 AMAZING beaches with some excellent restaurants. There is good fishing and my friend Alonzo will be more than happy to take you out. Best to bring your own rod and tackle.
Lupita will shop and cook if asked. She also cleans and changes sheets and towels once a week. There is a washer and clothes line available for your use.
