We live in the beautiful suburb of Black Rock in Melbourne , that is about 20 minutes out of the city. Upmarket very clean house, close to beach , clifftop walks and all transport. Just the 2 of us now, like meeting new faces . Suitable for a student or a couple. Room consists of queensize bed, built-in robes, bedside table & lamps, very close to main bathroom and separate toilet. Also private outside balcony available with cane table and chairs setting. Wireless internet available, heating and cooling throughout the home. There is also laundry and ironing facilities available to you. A continental breakfast is included. Shops are close by as are many quality schools. Many private and public golf courses , parks, tennis courts, gyms, restaurants and coffee shops in close proximity. The SpaceSandringham is a leafy suburb of Melbourne close to the beach and many restaurants TRANSPORT It is only a 10 minute walk to the train station which is the end of the Sandringham line which takes 25 minutes to get to the city centre. Trains run every 20 minutes in off peak and every 5 in peak times. There is also a bus option which takes you via St Kilda beach, a well know tourist area. Sandringham has a number of restaurants including Vietnamese, Greek, Indonesian, Thai plus more. There is the Sandy pub which is a great place to watch the sun set over Port Phillip Bay. THE APARTMENT The house has two floors which are separate. The entrance to the area to be let is from an outside stairway so you can come and go as you please. The upstairs has one bedroom with double bed and two single beds. The large lounge room, toilet and shower, sauna and a large balcony overlooking our garden. COOKING FACILITIES There is a small kitchen with a sink, microwave, fridge and toaster which is ideal for casual meals, there is also a large barbecue available. We provide all cooking and eating utensils. Salt, pepper, tea, coffee and milk is also provide for free Other amenities are a swimming pool and spa, bicycles and sauna. Each of these carry a small charge depending upon use. WHAT ELSE? Sandringham is right in the middle of the cycle track which takes you from the City all the way to Mordiallac and these also link in to a more extensive cycle network throughout the City so if you want to ride in to the City this is very easy. We are always available for advice but only interact with the guests as needed. The entrance to the apartment is through the garage so we do see our guests as they come and go. We also have a large dog (very friendly) and two cats The NeighborhoodSandringham is a very quiet area and it is a pleasant walk from our house to Sandringham and the railway station. If you fancy a coffee or a meal there is a large range to choose from in either Sandringham or Hampton. The best thing is it is near the beach road bike trail which means that you can ride in to the City and have a meal or a drink along the way. Getting AroundThe train service is the end of the line which means you always get a seat going in to the city which takes around 25 minutes and the station is only a short walk (10 minutes) from the house or you can drive and park at the station. There is also a bus station which heads in all directions. You can park on the street without a problem and your vehicle will be safe. If you want to use public transport to our house you can take the bus from the airport to the City and then the train to Sandringham. The buses and the trains run every 20 minutes or more frequently at peak times.

Our home is walking distance to the beach, train station and local shops which makes it ideal if you are visiting Melbourne or if you are a professional person seeking a quiet, comfortable environment. Hampton is a great Bayside suburb with a profusion of cafes, restaurants, delis, boutiques and all the essentials. Guest AccessIn addition to your very comfortable ground floor bedroom suite, you are welcome to share our kitchen to prepare simple meals and enjoy them in the open plan kitchen/meals area. However, we do find it works better when we respect each other's living space so the living room is our relaxation zone and your bedroom has big armchairs and a TV for you to chill out away from our TV choices! Interaction with GuestsWe are are a relaxed, friendly bunch and happy to chat but we won't "crowd" you. We both work from home so we are available to answer questions or if you need us. The NeighborhoodHampton is a great Bayside suburb with a profusion of excellent cafes, restaurants, delis, boutiques and all the essentials you need. Wonderful beaches are on the doorstep and you can join the many Baysiders who walk, run and cycle along the foreshore paths and trails, particularly on a sunny weekend. Getting AroundWe are a convenient 10 minutes walk to Hampton Station (27 mins into Flinders St Station), 2 minutes walk to Route 828 bus which runs to Southland shopping mall, or 10 minutes walk to the excellent facilities of Hampton Street and Bayside beaches. If you are flying in, it takes around 50 minutes to drive from the airport but it all depends on day of the week and rush hour traffic. Monday mornings are always busier. You can either hire a care at the airport, take a taxi, or jump on the Skyrail bus into Southern Cross station and then take the train to Hampton. There is a Budget car rental about 10 minutes away from our house if you prefer to hire a car locally. There is plenty of street parking available right outside, free and unrestricted. Hampton is well placed for sight-seeing, both in the City and the wider area of Victoria. There are beautiful wineries in the Yarra Vally and Mornington Peninsula which are both about an hour away. The charming villages of the Dandenong Ranges are also less than an hour by car if you fancy some native flora and fauna. The free standing unit is located at the back of our house, with its own separate entrance, Access is via a shared driveway. This is a delightful and tranquil setting. Sleeps two in comfort, with up to an additional two people, if you are happy with the sofa bed in the lounge. Stylish, one bedroom unit, all to yourselves! The unit has polished floors, reverse cycle air-conditioning and heating in the living room and has its own separate entry. It is fitted with a smoke alarm. Quality linen is provided. The unit is extremely quiet as it is constructed of double brick. The unit is made up of: •Separate bedroom with queen size bed, quality linen and built in wardrobe. •Living room with couch that converts to double bed and dining table. Transport There is easy access to the city, 30 minutes by train or car. The bus (600 and 922) to St Kilda and Southland Shopping Centre is a 5-minute walk from our door. The bus (822) to Chadstone - Sandringham via Murrumbeena & Southland is ten minute walk from our door The train is the Sandringham line. This runs direct into the City, it runs every eight minutes peak hour or 20 minutes off peak. It’s a 20 minute walk; or both buses mentioned above will take you there. We love being close to the beach & having an easy train ride direct to the CBD. We also have quick acces by car to the Mornington peninsula & many other great sites. Getting AroundThe train is a 15min walk or a few minutes drive and goes to the CBD and various other stops on the line or other lines you can change to access all of Melbourne and surrounds. By car everything is easily accessible.

The SpaceMy home is an older but recently renovated home with all contemporary fittings. The guest bedroom is nicely decorated and comfortable, and contains one queen size bed and wardrobes. A small single portabed or cot can be provided if needed. All linen and towels will be provided. You have your own bathroom and will be able to access the kitchen to make tea and coffee. Arrangements may be made for you to keep food in your own fridge if needed. Guests may relax in the living room or on the outdoor entertaining area. The washing machine is also available. My home is located in a quiet street, in an excellent position - you can walk to the beautiful swimming beach, the yacht club, Sandringham Village shops where there are many cafes, a supermarket and train station and buses. The train is only a 27 minute trip to the city! Also only a 10 minute walk away is the busy Hampton shopping strip with many more cafes, restaurants and shops. Guest AccessGuests will have their own bathroom and may use the family room to watch television. They may store some food in their own fridge if needed. The washing machine may also be used . Interaction with GuestsI am happy to interact with my guests however I am also happy to allow privacy if needed. The NeighborhoodSandringham is a quiet village atmosphere. I love the beach the most of all. I also love the fact that I can walk to everything I need - cafes, restaurants, and public transport if I want to go into the city. Getting AroundThe train line to the city and bus service are only 3-4 minutes walk. Buses travel to larger shopping centres, the famous St. Kilda area, and international golf courses. Other Things to NoteI do have a very old small friendly dog, who sleeps outside - he sleeps most of the time as he is 18 years old

The NeighborhoodExcellent for a small family or 2 couples looking for either a short or long term stay. The central location means that no transport will be required for your entire stay, as you have the train station, shops, restaurants and large supermarket all at you doorstep. The beach is only a short drive or a 4km walk straight up the main road. Large Shopping Centre/Mall (Southland) is only a 5 minute walk. This is one of Melbourne's best and most popular shopping destinations. Not to mention the famous Direct Factory Outlets (DFO) in Moorabin is only a 10 minute drive from home. Getting AroundHighett train station is a stones throw away. Direct Frankston Line to either Melbourne CBD (Flinders Street Station) approximately 30 minutes, or the famous Mornington Peninsula (Frankston Station) is around 45 minutes. Not to mention a direct 25 minute train ride to the famous sporting 'Melbourne Cricket Ground' (MCG). St Kilda beach and shops, plus Chapel Street shopping is only a 15 minute car ride away. Can be accessed by bus, taxi, or train and tram stops. Other Things to NoteThis our home, therefore all of our belongings will be left when hosting. Please feel free to move things around as necessary and make space in the wardrobes for your clothes..... however, please put everything back as you found it when departing.     The SpaceMy home is a spacious type Unit almost the size of a house, with a lovely sized backyard. 3 bedrooms, but 1 is converted into an Office with Internet connection. There is a Bus service close by and the train station is about a 15 minute walk away. fairly close to the city of Melbourne. I'm very friendly and a people person! My place is in a very quiet area and is very peaceful. I have a lovely view overlooking a Water Catchment Easement area, with trees and plenty of greenery. Highett is a nice suburb, not far from the beach, and about a 30minute drive to Melbourne Central, or a 20 minute trip by train. Their is a very large Shopping Complex about 5 minutes away - with loads of shops and amenities to utilise, plenty of specialist shops and Movie Theatres. Train Station and Bus Stop nearby as well. 10 minute drive from the Beach, plenty of parks and walking and cycling tracks.

    The SpaceWelcome to Heatherly c. 1905, a 100 year old former fisherman's cottage, in a perfect beach-side location. With its attractive streetscape, our Edwardian home has the period charm of open fire places, fretwork and pressed metal ceilings along with modern comforts such as hydronic heating, retro SMEG dishwasher & fridge. Located just three houses from the beach, around the corner from Sandringham shopping village (supermarket, fruit shop and bakeries) and 200 metres to Sandringham train station, it is a wonderful location we have enjoyed for the last 17 years of living here. Join the thousands of cyclists each day who ride along Beach Road (Melbourne is bike mad and we are a cycling family), or walk across the road to the beach and enjoy the beautiful coastal walks north to Brighton or south to Beaumaris. Sandringham beach is just across Beach Road; a sandy, clean, safe beach (bay not surf) and even has its own life-saving club. Our outside deck is the perfect place to relax and even has a outdoor shower to wash off all the sand when returning after a day at the beach. We are around the corner from Sandringham shopping village with its numerous cafe's, restaurants and novelty shops. Just a few steps to enjoy the shops, or for dinner out, but far enough away for peace and quiet at night. 200 metres to Sandringham train station, where the train takes less than 30 minutes into Melbourne city or a short bus trip to Southland Shopping Centre with its 120 shops. Upstairs is the master bedroom (queen bed) with full ensuite and walk-in robe, along with a own separate lounge/study area with water and sunset views. The 2nd bedroom (downstairs) is freshly painted, with built in robes, gorgeous white furniture, and polished floor boards. The third bedroom (downstairs) has built in robes, TV and couch which has the option of becoming an additional double bed for extra guests if you wish (to be discussed with host regarding cost). Our home has two bathrooms with the upstairs ensuite (complete with bath) and downstairs bathroom which excellent hot water. Bathroom towels are provided along with bed linen, pillows and even beach towels. Breakfast is included - cereal, orange juice, tea, coffee and toast. This can be eaten in the dining room or out on the patio enjoying our lovely Melbourne weather. There is even a laundry and clothes line available to catch up on all that washing. On street car parking is available and we can help you with all day car parking if needed. But with wonderful public transport (train and bus) around the corner and Beach Road and it's bike path all the way into the city, who needs a car? As seasoned travelers ourselves, we can help you with recommendations of where to go and what to see, not only in Melbourne but Australia. The area includes a spacious private room with twin beds, and a desk and an adjoining toilet with a sink (hand basin) just outside the family home. You also have your own shower, for your exclusive use at the back of the main house. Inside the main house there is a large kitchen that you are free to use to prepare breakfast or other meals! Amenities near by Near by there are plenty of good amenities including: Leafy green parks, great shops for groceries, cafes for coffee and breakfast and various options for take away food, if you aren't in the mood to cook. Highett is in Bayside suburbs close to beach (10 min bus) and train to city (30 mins) Games, Bikes and Beach! There is a large games room, with both a table tennis table to try your hand as well as bicycles which are available to take around the park, or along the beach front to Brighton and the famous Brighton Boxes!
