The SpaceBeautiful 3600 sq ft ranch house located on 300 acres of private property along the Sespe River in the Los Padres National Forest. The upstairs includes 4 bedrooms (5 total beds, one of the bedrooms is a bunk bed), 3 bathrooms (master includes a jet tub) and an additional living space area. Guest AccessAccess to entire ranch house which includes: living areas, kitchen (shared with Lucy & owners), patio areas, bathrooms (2 upstairs, 1 downstairs) and bedrooms (4 upstairs). This is a wilderness environment so for your safety, we advise you to stay within the fenced parameter of the ranch house. Please be aware Lucy & the owners utilize 2 bedrooms on the first floor which have outside entrances to the house, we are not around much but may share the kitchen at times. Interaction with GuestsLucy and/or the owners will be available for any questions, concerns, and fun tips on hiking or exploring the quaint little town of Fillmore. The NeighborhoodFillmore is a quaint little historic town along HWY 126 with many fun activities if you decide to venture out of the ranch. Bennett's Honey Farm has great honey tasting and fun bee products. Fillmore fish hatchery is home to a large trout hatchery where you're allowed to feed the growing trout. The old train station has weekend train rides to the nearby towns of Piru and Santa Paula. Getting AroundYou will need your vehicle to get on and off the property. All guests must park at the bridge and walk across to the house with your belongings (see photo). Parking directly at the house will not be available due to risk of vehicle damage crossing the creek. Please note you will have to drive off road down a small hill to get to the base of the bridge. You will be provided with a remote control for the security gates so you may come and go as you please. Other Things to NoteThis is a wilderness setting with wild animals including but not limited to snakes, bears, bugs of all sorts, mice/rats, mountain lions, etc. The property also includes steep cliffs and edges and random hazards you must be cautious of. All adults will be required to sign a hold harmless release of liability waiver for themselves and any children prior to entering the property.
Please note that cell service is very limited at the ranch house. We do have WIFI so iMessages are easily received. There is a landline available.
There are grocery stores in town, however there are also farm fresh stands you may purchase fruits and vegetables. It is recommended that you pick up food/supplies that you may need for your stay prior to arrival. A list of restaurants will be available to you at the ranch.
NO potable water source available. You will be provided with bottled drinking water, but please also bring your own.
You will need to schedule a check in time between 1-3pm with Lucy. All members of your group must arrive at the same time; liability waivers will need to be signed prior to entering the security gates. To access the house you will need to drive on a dirt road to a bridge (see photos) and walk across the bridge with your belongings, Lucy will provide assistance.
Check out is at 12pm. Please leave the house the way you found it, wash/put away dishes, leave used linens/towels in the master bathroom.
