We tend to do our own thing, but are happy to suggest places to go and things to do. You're also welcome to join me or my partner at various art events, shows, plays, concerts, talks, etc, if we're heading out we'll let you know. Vegans, vegetarians, meat-eaters are all welcome, just let me know ahead of time of any food restrictions, & if you'd like to share meals, or if you're happy doing your own thing. I don't serve breakfast, but there's toast and cereal, and two great coffee shops and a bakery with delicious breakfast pastries close by. I work 8–5 most weekdays, and my partner works 6–3:30. We're very flexible if you want your own space. The Neighborhood
Only two blocks away from the river! I spend a lot of time on Broadway Ave, often stopping at El Secondo (best broccoli chedder croissants) or Museo Coffee in the morning on my way to work. Shopping, dining, music venues, the Broadway Theatre, a spa, groceries and more, are all 5 min walks away. River trails are 2 blocks away, & perfect for bike rides & sunset-gazing. Downtown & the 20th street Riversdale district (River Landing, spray park, Farmer's Market, restaurants, artist-run centres) are a 10-15 min walk away. The row houses we live in are shared by mostly young creative professionals & my neighbours are quiet & friendly.Getting Around
• 1 block away from major transit routes (Broadway Ave) • Walking distance to downtown, U of S, 20th street, Broadway Ave. • Free street parking out front.Other Things to Note
I usually have a bottle of wine around, and there's an ashtray outside for smokers (expect to meet the neighbours if you do!). On weeknights, we appreciate quiet after 11 p.m. No cable, but there's a tv to watch Netflix on in the living room. The basement is creepy and messy and floods every spring, so please do laundry at your own risk. Recycling is under the sink. No drugs in the house, please. I'm new to this, so if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or suggestions, please let me know!
