The SpaceMy apartment can accommodate two people comfortably. What makes my listing unique is that it is so un-touristy. I am aware that nowadays people want to experience the real thing. People want a real connection with the culture and its people when they travel. My place is right smack in the center of San Nicolas, which has a rich history going back to the coming of the oil refinery, over 60 years ago, where more than 90 nationalities, 9000 employees, came to work here and lived together in harmony and created the birth place of Carnival in Aruba, the steel pan, and calypso music, which originated from Trinidad and Tobago. Guest AccessMy guests will have access to: Visiting the nearby beaches such as Rodger's beach where you can buy fresh fish from the fishermen, Baby beach, known for its shallow waters, great for snorkeling. Boca Grandi the best beach and ideal conditions, for kite surfing in Aruba. Mangel Halto beach where you can go kayaking or snorkeling in and around mangroves. The caves on the north side, that Aboriginals used to inhabit and our well-kept and protected National Park Arikok. The Carubbian Festival, every Thursday in San Nicolas, where the main street is closed off and you can dance to live music, see a Carnival show, complete with a parade down the street, where every one is encouraged to join in, local cuisine and alcoholic beverages are on sale. Then there is Zee Rover, 10 minutes away, a popular seafood restaurant where you can eat freshly caught fish and shrimps with your fingers, served on a brown piece of paper, overlooking the docked fishermen boats and marina, or you can buy the catch of the day and take it home to cook it your self.
Close by is Flying Fishbone, where you can sit right on the beach, with your feet in the water if you wish so and where you can experience the most beautiful sunsets. Don't worry about getting your feet all wet and sandy. They have a special place where you can wash the salt of your feet and dry them off with towels
A few must visits in San Nicolas are:
Charlie's Bar, very popular with visitors on the island, filled with memorabilia, from many visitors from all over the world. Rum and Reef, bar and restaurant in Seroe Colorado, between Baby Beach and Rodger's Beach. So after your swim, you can go and have a meal here and chat with Maureen, a friendly host and bartender.

I will be there for them in the afternoon/evening weekdays, the evening on saturday and most of the day on sundays, as much as they like and need me.
The NeighborhoodI like that we have been good neighbors for decades. We shared lots of memories growing up. Many left to to live abroad and yet picked up where we left off years later. We have become like family. We get together on special occasions but at the same time respect each other's privacy. I like the feeling of home and feeling safe. Getting AroundThere are buses and auto buses along the main road. However if you want to explore the island it is best to rent a car, jeep, motorcycle or what ever else you can rent or pay for, to go on a tour around the island. There are several tour operators you can book with. Other Things to NoteI would be happy to have basic food supplies like breakfast, beverages, snacks ready in the fridge so if you arrive on a late flight, there will be food for the next morning till you have a chance to go shopping. There is also a pre-paid use of electricity card. I will make sure I have one for your arrival, so you have electricity. You can reimburse the money when you arrive. I will have extra cards on hand in case you run out of electricity. You can rent a car at the airport on arrival or take a taxi to the apartment. Please discuss all these details in advance with me so that everything will runs smoothly.
