HOW TO GET THERE.....
Savusavu is located on Vanua Levu which is the second largest island in Fiji. Lesiaceva Road runs along the edge of beautiful Savusavu Bay.
BY AIR.... the best and easiest way to travel is by air. Daily domestic 1 hour flights on Fiji Link (www.fijiairways.com) operate from Nadi International Airport or twice weekly from Nausori Airport, Suva (a 45min. flight). The bure is only 15kms from Savusavu Airport. An alternate route is to fly from Nadi to Labasa (on the other side of the island from Savusavu). The fare is cheaper and seats easier to get. A taxi from Labasa to Savusavu will cost around F$100 one way and the scenic drive takes around 1 1/2 hours.
BY SEA.... there is currently one ferry operating from Suva. It is a 12 hour journey, usually overnight. Cabins or aircraft style seats are available. The ferries are not luxurious so be prepared to rough it a little. Meals on board are cheap but tasty and quite substantial. It is advisable to take "sea legs" or some other anti-nausea tablet in the event of a rough journey.
