The house is a clean, three bedroom house with an excellent library, a comfortable lounge, piano, kitchen and dining room. There will be a delicious breakfast included. I am very keen to assist you in every way to enjoy the wonderful nature at my doorstep. Guest AccessGuests can share a meal or dine locally at the excellent restaurant in the village at the bottom of my hill. There is village life in Macandrew Bay with corner diary, pharmacy, and restaurant open all week and weekends. Most wonderful of all is the nature life not he peninsula. Glen Falloch and Larnach Castle are just minutes away. The penguin and albatross colonies are nearby and there are great empty beaches where you can gaze on seals and sea lions. My home will welcome you to the gateway to nature's miracles. And I will assist you to reach these wonders and enjoy them. Interaction with GuestsI am happy to provide a healthy breakfast, and an evening meal if desired. I can also assist guests with transport into the city or to the nature sites for a small petrol fee. I will be living in the house during the guest's stay. My job is to help you to achieve a wonderful holiday on the peninsula and assist you in any way to make your stay more comfortable and problem free. The NeighborhoodI live in a small village of Macandrew Bay on the edge of the Otago Harbour , about 15 minutes from the centre of the city of Dunedin and only a short distance from the great nature wonders of the peninsula: the albatross colony, the penguin colonies, the wide and empty beaches of the coastal side of the peninsula. Also there are famous botanical gardens at Glen Falloch and Larnach Castle. These are spring, summer and autumn garden delights and can be visited at any time. Getting AroundThere is a bus service into the city or a lift to the city can be provided for a small fee. Transport is easy on the peninsula. There is a local bus. The road is well sealed all the way to the Albatross Colony, to Larnach Castle, and back to the city. All relatively short distances. Dunedin has its own delights; a succession of wonderful cafes and restaurants, the Art Gallery, the Early Settlers Museum, the Otago Museum, the University of Otago, Olveston, one of the Jewish stately homes of Dunedin open to visitors. Other Things to NoteThere is off-street parking available. Simply park in the empty spaces at the end of my quiet street. Only a few steps from the house. There is a small rather steep drive up to my house which you are welcome to use if you feel OK about it.

The SpaceThis is a fully self-contained 2 bedroom apartment with great views of the Otago Harbour and close to Dunedin city. You'll enjoy your own space with fully equipped kitchen, as well as your own lounge, bathroom and laundry. There are two bedrooms in the apartment. The master bedroom has a comfortable queen sized bed and the second bedroom has a comfortable 3 Quarter sized bed (slightly smaller than a double). We also have a portacot and bedding on request. Extra guests after 2 are $15 per night. There is complimentary tea, coffee etc provided in the kitchen as well as toiletries in the bathroom. Guest AccessGuests will have their own fully equipped kitchen as well as their own bathroom and laundry. The apartment is connected to the hosts home, on the ground floor with the hosts living on the first floor. There is parking available on site but the driveway is very steep (hence the great harbour views!) A car would be fine coming up the drive but if you have a campervan etc you will need to park on the street at the bottom of the drive. We are about 10 minutes drive into the Octagon (centre city) and there is a public bus service which can take you into Dunedin city leaving from just down the road. There is also a lovely walkway along the harbour into town (about 45 minutes walk into the city centre) Please note, due to our location the internet is quite intermittent so we can't guarantee you will be able to get a consistent connection during your stay. Interaction with GuestsThe apartment is fully self contained with a separate entrance to the main house so caters well to independent travellers. However we love meeting new people so are very happy to meet you if you wish and answer any questions you may have about travelling New Zealand and things to do in Dunedin. The NeighborhoodWe love the amazing views of Dunedin harbour and being able to watch various ships and boats coming in and out of the harbour. We live in a quiet friendly neighbourhood in a semi-rural setting of two acres with two miniature ponies, a goat, two dogs and a cat living on the property while still being close to the centre of town. Getting AroundThere is a public bus service running from just down the road to the centre of Dunedin. There is parking available on site but our driveway is very steep so if you have a campervan or large vehicle you may need to park on the street at the bottom of our drive( free unlimited street parking ). There is space to turn around at the top so you don't need to reverse down the steep drive. Getting to and from the airport you will need to catch a shuttle bus or taxi as the airport is quite a way out of the city (about 45 minutes' drive from our place). Other Things to NotePlease note, due to our location the internet is quite intermittent so we can't guarantee you will be able to get a consistent connection during your stay. We have two small pet dogs and a cat as well as two miniature ponies and a goat living on site. The dogs live in the main house with the owners so you shouldn't notice them during your stay.
