Always in the shade, this is a favorite spot for children to play and adults to relax. The infinity edge pool is a center piece of the property. They are also helpful for making dining recommendations, tour and travel suggestions and connecting you with local guides. The NeighborhoodDiscovering Tobago is like finding your own personal tropical Paradise. The island has retained its local charm, unspoiled surroundings and spectacular views of the sea and tropical landscapes. It offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore and relax in its natural beauty. High on a cliff overlooking the sea, Gloucester Place commands one of Tobago’s finest views of the Caribbean in one direction and the Rain Forrest Reserve in the other. Just a short walk from the picturesque fishing village of Parlatuvier, this area is considered one of the loveliest on the island. From the veranda, guests can enjoy the mesmerizing crashing of waves against the rocks, daily migrations of frigate birds as they cruise along the coast, or listen to the cries of the cocricos, chatter of the parrots, and songs of other island birds. Getting AroundWe are a short drive from 4 of 5 top beaches on the island, as well as the main trail in the forest reserve, Gilpin Trace. Our location is ideal for travelers wanting to explore the natural beauty of the island. Parlatuvier Bay, a 10-minute walk on a path along the hillside, or a two-minute drive, offers excellent swimming and snorkeling. Imagine yourself floating above the coral surrounded by schools of thousands of small fish, or sighting one of the rays that frequently appear, or a shy turtle if you're really lucky. In the late afternoon you can try your hand at fishing off the end of the jetty, or greet the local fishermen as they return with their day's catch. If your timing is just right and you have energy, you might even get a chance to help pull in a seine net filled with small baitfish. We highly recommend, for at least one night, that you linger by the pier until sunset. Your reward is a smashing display of glorious colors as the sun sinks into the western sky. For adventures on the high seas, we can help you to arrange boating or fishing trips. Snorkel equipment is available for our guests. The village itself is very small with about 350 inhabitants. There are several good places to eat as well as two well-stocked grocery shops offering an appropriate selection of snacks and drinks. The people here are very friendly and helpful, and many have been involved in building our houses or maintaining the property.Top quality bird watching attracts many of our guests. The island’s most renowned bird guide, Newton George, has identified more than 42 different species of land and sea birds, and our guest log has now registered over 60 birds spotted on the property. Several local trails nearby take you through the rain forest and along rivers to idyllic tropical waterfalls. We can connect you with the top registered guides to help spot and identify the local birds, wildlife and vegetation and share some history of the island. Our most popular local gathering spot is Glasgow's Bar just 100m up the road. Its upper deck offers you the best view of Parlatuvier Bay. Prime time for a lime, the island word for socializing, is sunset, which can fill the sky with a blaze of color. Other Things to NoteGuests can wake up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee or tea and enjoy a homemade meal to start their day. Other meals are available at restaurants nearby, or can be provided on site by prior arrangement.

The SpaceThe property consists of two houses and a swimming pool, bounded by a river on one side and the sea on the other. Surrounding the houses are gardens, mature coconut palms, mango and other fruit trees, and lots of banana plants. Paths lead along the hillside past the fruit trees, down to Creighton River and our own water fall and swimming hole. Always in the shade, this is a favorite spot for children to play and adults to relax. The infinity edge pool is a center piece of the property. Guests can relax in the water while gazing across the horizon ready to spot passing sail boats and fishing pirogues as they head out to sea. There are special steps that create a shallow area for children as well as seating to enjoy the view. Just below the pool is a platform that can be used for sunbathing, yoga and, on special occasions, for pitching a tent that provides the best accommodation on site according to our grandchildren. Getting AroundLocation We are a short drive from 4 of 5 top beaches on the island, as well as the main trail in the forest reserve, Gilpin Trace. Other Things to NoteRate is reduced to $90 if occupied by accompanying children. Each of these rooms can accommodate an extra cot at a cost of $15/night. The way the cottage is set up is not appropriate for renting each bedroom separately. Operating as a bed and breakfast from November through April, guests can wake up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee or tea and enjoy a homemade meal to start their day. Other meals are available at restaurants nearby, or can be provided on site by prior arrangement.

Voted amongst the top twenty villas in the Caribbean by Conde Nast Traveler in 2007, Ohana Villa stands apart as one of the most striking places to stay in Tobago and the Caribbean and was designed by one of the Caribbean's foremost architects. Ohana is a Hawaiian word for family rest-house and the owners’ intention for the house was that the architecture and interior design would successfully entangle the guests in an organic and spiritual way. The result is that Ohana is indeed ‘a very special place’, a perfect haven of peace and quiet to escape to, with family and friends from the hustle and bustle of city life. The sheer scale of the property provides just the right amount of privacy with luxury, style and barefoot elegance. This, along with the warm and sincere welcome of our staff ensure that as soon as you arrive, you’ll find the stresses of the city slip away as easily as your shoes at the front door. Located on the south east corner of Tobago in Bacolet, Ohana enjoys 180 degree views of the Atlantic Ocean. The house is orientated with the prevailing trade winds to keep the house cool. The garden is full of tropical and exotic flowers and fruit, and runs down to a small sandy protected cove, protected by a reef just out in the bay. Ohana was designed with a Balinese tropical influence and resembles a small village of tiny houses perched upon a bluff. Four double bedrooms wrap around a large sun deck of two swimming pools, jacuzzi and a large koi fish pond. Each individually designed bedroom is lavishly furnished with a four poster bed, en-suite bathroom and air conditioning with overhead fans and digital bedroom safes large enough to hold your laptop. The master bedroom and its huge en-suite bathroom have shuttered windows which open out so that you can shower, take a bath or lounge in the teak four-poster bed while watching pelicans fishing in the turquoise Atlantic.   Bedroom 2 has its own veranda, which seems to float over a fish-filled lily pond. It opens out to the gazebo, jacuzzi and two infinity pools – one deep and the other shallow. There is an outdoor shower area which overlooks the koi fish pond. Bedroom 3 has a small private terrace overlooking the pond, main deck and gazebo. Bedroom 4 opens out onto a courtyard, a delightful and private tranquil oasis surrounded by clumps of rustling bamboo. The kitchen is a joy to work in. It is delightfully open and breezy, with two large ceiling fans and Demerara windows on sticks which open to give a view of the perfect little sandy beach below. The kitchen is fully equipped with a double-door stainless steel fridge with filtered water and ice making facility, plus another large fridge for keeping drinks cool. There is also a large stainless steel gas cooker – and of course a dishwasher. To one side is an open-air barbecue area and on the other a pantry and a utility room with large washing and drying machines. The vast living room is open to the bay, allowing ocean breezes to work their relaxing charms, but simply wind down the cream canvas shutters to provide restful shade for a snooze on the over-sized teak day beds, filled with plump cushions and bolsters.  Close by four teak armchairs also recline fully to allow you to relax completely. The house is stocked with board games, DVDs and a selection of CDs for times when the view alone is not enough. Humming birds, blue birds and cocricos fly around the gardens, and you can watch the ornamental koi fish from your hammock whilst sipping a home made rum cocktail. Sample our excellent local or European cooking, or try a fusion of both from our renowned cook, one of the best on the island. So hard is it to leave Ohana, that even though the stunningly beautiful little island of Tobago is full of enticing activities and day trips, our guests find it difficult to tear themselves away from the house. In fact, many guests never leave the house and wonder why they hired a car. Worth leaving home for are Tobago’s beautiful waterfalls; one of the oldest rainforests in the northern hemisphere; and for bird enthusiasts, there are over 210 different bird species; as well there are excellent diving and deep sea fishing.   1 house manager and 2 housekeepers look after the running of the house and will do as much or as little shopping and cooking as you require. Most guests prefer to do their own grocery shopping, however for those of you that don’t, we will be happy to do it for an additional fee, saving you those extra hours for topping up that tan! Our housekeepers will cook, serve, and wash up each morning for breakfast as this is included in the daily rate - however all ingredients for breakfast are to be provided by guests. Other meals can be requested and are charged at 20-30 US dollars per meal – again all ingredients to be provided by guests. Excellent and highly recommended aromatherapy massages can be arranged for $50 USD.

Welcome to the Fort Cottage. We hope you enjoy your time here in our historic home in this old Tobago neighbourhood. This house and yard once hosted a tobacco processing operation and a chicken farm. It has survived generations of children, the devastating hurricane Flora in 1962, and several earthquakes. The property was recently renovated and all modern conveniences were installed but it maintains all the charm of its 150 year history from its vaulted ceilings to its creaking floors. Its night-time view over the port of Scarborough may be brighter but it’s not hard to get lost in time looking at the brood of resident chickens foraging for fare in the large backyard or cooling down under the old fashioned outdoor rain-head shower. Fruit trees abound; there’s always something in season at the Fort Cottage – mango, sapodilla, cashew, avocado, soursop, cherries and heavenly Tobago chennet. Sit and sip on the back porch or swing and snooze in one of our hammocks; the Fort Cottage provides great opportunities to relax and unwind. A short stroll away is the magnificent Fort King George. Built in the late 18th century, this site features a museum and offers panoramic ocean and mountain views. We look forward to welcoming you to your home away from home...

                    6br villa
Sea Breeze is a stunning private villa situated by the sea in one of the most sought after locations on the island of Tobago with outstanding views and a peaceful sense of space. A wide veranda along two sides of the house provides a scenic 180° view of the ocean. The villa has been let for the last 7 years and there are many reviews on the villa website. The villa was substantially redecorated and refurbished in 2009/10 and much is new including furniture and white goods, not to mention the swimming pool and jacuzzi filters and pumps! There are six air-conditioned bedrooms and six bathrooms, with accommodation for up to ten people. The villa is built on two main levels, an upper and a pool level, with 3 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms on each and both have private entrances. There is also a modern alarm system with PA transmitters connected to a 24 hour monitoring service with rapid response. The villa, while secluded, is fully visible from the road. There are two double rooms and one single room on each floor, and all the rooms have en-suite bathrooms (except the single downstairs which has a separate bathroom). On the upper level are the fully equipped kitchen and a comfortable ‘great room’ with numerous windowed sliding doors that open onto the veranda and the large patio - heaven for sun-worshippers during the day, and an al fresco dining area in the evenings. In addition to the three bedrooms on the lower level, there is a second, small kitchen and pretty living room with French windows opening out onto the pool area. The Gardens There are electric gates at the entrance to the villa and the entrance drive is lined with stately palms, and curves through more than an acre of colourful tropical shrubs and mature fruit trees. The garden is securely fenced on all sides and well lit at night and one of the great pleasures of staying at Sea Breeze during the summer months is being able to help yourself to fresh mango, lime, grapefruit, banana, avocado ... Swimming and sunbathing The roofed Jacuzzi and swimming pool are set to the side of the house with uninterrupted views of the ocean. The Jacuzzi/plunge pool is a 12ft by 12ft covered pool! It can be heated if the guests wish or just used as a plunge pool in the midday sun! Behind the villa, private steps lead down to the shoreline, where the adventurous can enjoy spectacular snorkelling from the rocks, and swim or clamber to a small secluded beach accessible only to a few houses. Alternatively, the charming, palm-fringed crescent of Bacolet Beach is less than a five-minute stroll away - some of our more intrepid guests have swum there from the villa. This beach was the location for the 1960 film 'Swiss Family Robinson', and is still just as unspoilt - except that now you can get lunch and a drink at the No Problem bar, run by the local hotel. Staff/Facilities Our friendly maid, Vernette, will help to make your stay extremely relaxing. She will clean the house and make the beds and can also cook for you if you want to eat in. Felix keeps the garden clean and tidy, and will probably ply you with fresh fruit - mango, coconut, grapefruit, orange or banana, depending on the time of year. The property managers, Sonya and Michael, live next door and are in overall charge of the house and garden. They will meet you at the airport, stock the house with food, clean the pool, adjust the Jacuzzi... any problems at all, they are there to help! US$1000 refundable security deposit is required. LThe villa is situated on a bluff overlooking the ocean. Steps lead down to the sea from the back of the villa. The villa is situated in over an acre of tropical gardens with coconut palms and many tropical fruit trees.
