The SpaceThe Cloud Cottage is a one room historic cottage that over looks famed Appleberry Mountain (aka Walton's Mountain) the childhood home of Earl Hamner for which the television show The Waltons' was based on. The cottage features a screened in porch overlooking the mountains, a living area, a kitchenette, queen size bed with memory foam top, full bathroom, wood burning stove, TV/VCR/DVD and use of a 160 acre farm and animal sanctuary. Guest AccessPLEASE NOTE: Our Air BnB rates do not include The White Pig amenities such as a full breakfast, afternoon snacks & drinks, farm tour and daily room service. If you would like these amenities they are available at an additional charge. Please ask your host at the time of your reservation, if you would like to add any of the options onto your stay. Interaction with GuestsNote to my guests: I am a professional innkeeper. My B&B has been in business 16 years. Although airbnb would like me to review you as guests, I WILL NOT. This has nothing against you. But I find it highly unprofessional for me to comment in anyway on the people who stay here in a public forum. I want to create an atmosphere where people can relax and enjoy their time on my beautiful farm. I feel that being "judged" by your host does not do that. I will help you with whatever you need-just ask. Otherwise, I value your privacy. Cheers! The NeighborhoodThe Cloud Cottage is located 25 minutes south of Charlottesville (University of Virginia, Monticello, & Downtown Mall) and 2 miles outside the small Mountain town of Schuyler. Other Things to NoteThe Cloud Cottage is located on a private & secluded 160 acre farm that is also home to The White Pig Animal Sanctuary.

Incredible cabin nestled on a hill on 66 very private acres. H'Owl at The Moon was completed in 2016. Relax and unwind under incredible stars and listen to the night sounds of owls. Close proximity to James River and tubing, UVA, and many wineries. Although easily accessible, the roads leading to the cabin and the driveway are all gravel. I have never had any problem with friends getting to the cabin in everything from a Prius to a Mercedes. That said, don't wash and wax your car and expect it to stay that way :-). All Access, Including 66+ acres to hike and explore. I also have an agreement with my neighbors who lease 500 surrounding acres which you can hike and four-wheel in all months but mid September-Jan (hunting season). Extremely Private setting and very cozy new log cabin. Do not rent this cabin unless you are OK with complete privacy - there are no visible neighbors from the cabin. However, if you really want to get away and enjoy the quietest cup of coffee you've ever had, come on over! I purchased this property because of its privacy. You will not see another neighbor from the cabin or property. Quiet days and quiet nights under the stars is what makes this place special. Come to relax, unwind, and reconnect with your inner self or someone else. No TV, No Internet, No phone. If you have Verizon, you will be OK. NTelos and some others also work. AT&T; does not. Not even a little bit. No shooting of any animals in or out of season without my expressed and prior approval. I purchased this property because of its privacy.
