The SpaceEXCELLENT LOCATION: Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac onto Balgowlah golf course, Jacaranda offers you relaxed, self-contained accommodation in a leafy garden setting. We are central to a host of popular attractions, in particular the beaches and water ways around Manly and Middle Harbour. THE BEDROOM: We have a kingsize bed that can be split to make two single beds - its up to you! Storage is provided by a large double, built in wardrobe and bedside cabinets. A column heater is available for those winter chills and a ceiling fan can be used in summer. Also you have a LCD HD TV, Blue Ray DVD player, electric blankets, hair dryer and use of the umbrellas and beach towels. BATHROOM: Bathroom with shower, vanity, toilet, heated towel rail, ceiling fan and heater. LAUNDRY: Washing machine, dryer, ironing board and iron. KITCHENETTE: Well equipped with crockery, cutlery, microwave, fridge, toaster and sandwich maker. Also a breakfast bar with 2 chairs. FREE WI FI: Talk to your friends on (website hidden), even in the garden! OUTSIDE: BBQ facilites and comfortable tables and chairs. PARKING: On street parking always available. TRANSPORT: We are 1 block away from the bus stop, 30 minutes to the city centre or 10 minutes to Manly. Only 5 minutes to Manly by car. Stocklands, a large modern shopping centre, is 10 minutes walk away. A large selection of quality restaurants are within a short walking distance. An Airport shuttle bus can be arranged if required. Child-friendly Clontarf Beach is only minutes away or challenging surfing can be found at an array of beaches close by. You will be spoiled for choice on what to do during your stay on the Northern Beaches but one thing is for sure, you will relax in style in this beautiful well-appointed home. Getting AroundSightseeing in the CBD is also very handy to this property, with direct buses to the city leaving regularly or why not bus it to Manly and take the Manly Ferry across the harbour. The "Hop, Skip and Jump" shuttle bus service takes you to Stocklands Balgowlah and on to Manly. A selection of fine dining is also within easy walking distance and located down at the Spit, overlooking Middle Harbour. Getting AroundMinutes walk to several bus stops that go to the city, Chatswood, Manly or Palm beach. Area serviced by the free community hop skip and jump shuttle bus to Balgowlah and Manly. Excellent grocery shopping at Balgowlah Stocklands fresh fruit and veg etc. Coles and Woolworths close-by.     Five minutes to Manly by car, Jacaranda offers self-contained accommodation in a quiet cul-de-sac onto Balgowlah golf course. Set in a tranquil garden setting with a private entrance, accommodation consists of one bedroom with a king-size bed or two single beds, a separate bathroom, fully equipped kitchenette with microwave and fridge, TV, DVD, ceiling fan and heater. Free Wi Fi is also available Jacaranda looks onto a large expanse of lawn, golden trees and leafy gardens. It is quiet, restful and private. Continental breakfast can be provided. Self-catering is an option. Parking is available and public transport to famous Manly beach, restaurants and wonderful scenic walks, is only a block away. So easy to make yourself a home away from home. Your hosts Alison and Ern will do all they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and hope you will visit again. We are situated centrally in a quiet cul de sac adjacent Balgowlah Golf Course. 10 minutes walk to a modern shopping centre. 5 minutes walk to the bus stop for busses to take you to all the beaches up the Peninsular or to the city.     The SpaceThis sun-bathed house has an interesting flow with large windows and trees in bloom most of the year. The adjoining deck lets you wind down and enjoy a BBQ in green surrounds. The 3 bedrooms are equipped with high quality mattresses! Bedroom 1: Master, though not the biggest room has a Queen size bed and build-ins. Bedroom 2: A loft bed. Bedroom 3: A single bed and a toddler bed. This room is full of toys and books for your kids to enjoy and is connected via french doors with the living room. There is Wi-fi so you can watch movies from your ipad or laptop. There is TV and DVD player though we hope you'll find inspiration in nature and forget about the news for a couple of days. The kitchen includes gas cook top, electric oven, spacious new fridge/freezer and dishwasher and is well stocked with many appliances i.e. rice cooker, waffle maker, kettle, toaster and a Vitamix blender for your breakfast smoothie! The bathroom is classical with bath and shower. The washing machine is located under the house and there are plenty of hangers there too. Old and new wooden floorboards feature throughout the entire living area and you will notice a touch of Japan in every single room. The NeighborhoodThe Manly Dam is within walking distance and has fantastic bush walk trails along the dam where you might see kangaroos, goannas and for sure lots of birds. There are also Free gas BBQs and a playground near the dam. Up by the shops in North Balgowlah there is a great roast chicken cafe as well as bakery, convenience shop, gift shop and more. Getting AroundExpress busses to the city are 1min walk away. Manly is 10min by car. If you walk to Seaforth (about 10-15min) there are various busses to both Manly and the city. Most people do hire - or come by car as it's more convenient if you need to do shopping etc. Other Things to NoteThe place is safe with: Smoke Alarm, Fire Extinguisher and First Aid Kit.

Perfect private base for exploring Sydney and the northern beaches. Guest AccessThere are 4 large bedrooms upstairs, with 2 bathrooms (1 ensuite). Please note that only the master bedroom has a queen-sized bed. The children's rooms have singles. Dowstairs, there is a study and TV room with a fold out double bed, as well as another complete bathroom. Generous kitchen dining area and a BBQ in the enormous back yard, which also includes a private pool. Big garage with automatic door under the house. 1 study will be locked, but you'll have access to the laundry and all other areas. Interaction with GuestsWe'll be away, but my parents and in-laws are close by if you have any difficulties. The NeighborhoodRelaxed beachside suburb. Not achingly trendy, but not exactly the burbs either. Decent coffee at Seaforth shops, reliable Indian take away within minutes of the house. Local shopping centre (Stockland Balgowlah) has everything you need (25 min walk, 5 mins by car). Loads to see and do, including taking the Manly ferry into town and exploring the best beaches in Sydney (okay I might be biased). Getting Around200 metre walk to bus stop for bus to beach. You'll proably need to walk to Seaforth shops for the bus in to the city (8-10 mins walk). Heaps of on-street parking and a large garage. Other Things to Note200 metre walk to bus stop, 500m from some great cafes. You'll proabably want a car, but there are good bike tracks nearby - easy cycle to Manly beach.

The NeighborhoodSeaforth is in the Northern Beaches area of Sydney and is approximately 9 km from Sydney City. There are excellent transport links via an express bus service to Sydney CBD, and additionally local bus and community bus services give access to Manly and Balgowlah shopping precincts. Seaforth has its own local shopping area including a post office, ATM, newsagent, several great coffee shops, 24 hr convenience store, fishmonger, French delicatessen, a number of great restaurants (many BYO) and a Vintage Cellars wine store. There is a larger shopping precinct in Balgowlah (approximately 1 kilometre away) that has a major supermarket, gift and fashion stores. There are many incredible beaches close by - Clontarf (walking distance), the famous Manly surf beach and Balmoral beach, to name a few. Getting AroundThe bus stop is approximately (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) metres away on foot. Buses stop there for the city and also to Balgowlah and Manly, and there is a free Community bus service between Seaforth and Manly. Once in Manly there are the iconic harbour ferries which will also take you to the city via Sydney's stunningly scenic harbour, past the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge, and alighting at Circular Quay. At the bottom of our street there is a tree-lined cycle path which takes you directly to Manly.

Interaction with GuestsAs much as our guests require, we are happy to help to the best of our ability with anything our guests need. The NeighborhoodBalgowlah and the Northern Beaches in general are a friendly place to visit. we are known to be laid back, friendly and helpful. The street itself is mostly family homes with a few apartment blocks. Our building is a small block of 9 units, is mostly quiet and the residents are friendly. We live close to transport, restaurants and a new local shopping centre. We are a short walk to a coastal harbour walk and beaches or a short bus ride to Manly town centre and beach. Sydney CBD is a 30 minute bus ride away or you can catch a bus to Manly and travel to the city in scenic style on the relaxing Manly ferry. Getting AroundGuests are able to start any Sydney adventure from the bus stops less than 100 metres from our front door. Buses to the iconic and beautiful Manly beach and its Corso filled with shops and restaurants and the Manly ferry to the city take 10 minutes or travel in the opposite direction to get to Wynyard Station in the heart of Sydney CBD in 30 minutes. Busses are also available to visit many of our northern beaches or to Chatswood's shopping complexes. Busses are very frequent. purchase weekly tickets or day tripper tickets for value and access to all Sydney transport.

      The SpaceThis high-ceiled modern townhouse is a 9 min walk to Fairlight beach, and 3 km to Manly along the Spit to Manly walk. One block to boutique coffee shops, a large modern shopping centre and 5 min drive to Manly Beach. There is an express bus straight to the city 50 m away. There are 3 bedrooms, the main bedroom has 600 thread count linen on the Queen bed, the guest room/study has a double bed and the third room has bunk beds. The kitchen has a large granite bench top so while preparing you can talk with your family and friends, while they sit on red leather stools, or at the dining table. The main bed-room has a balcony, which is a 'parents retreat', overlooking the street and surrounded by leafy eucalpytus trees. We have high speed wifi. We are working to make this an environmentally sustainable eco-house, and it has rain-water tanks, is supplied by green power, and is planted with local native plants. Guest AccessRenting the whole house gives access to the main bedroom and en-suite. The main room has a queen bed, with 600 count thread linen. The children's room has a new double bunk, and access to the main bathroom. There is a spacious lounge and dining area. There is lots of room in the lock-up garage for guests to store their luggage. Kids body boards, bikes and helmets are available for guests to use at the local bike path or beaches. This is our family house we are renting while travelling over summer, so comes complete with kitchen supplies, stocked pantry, etc. I am an avid runner, and can tell you the local trail running paths, races, and training routes. The house also has a foam roller and spiky ball for relieving tired muscles and tendons. We have a treadmill and bike trainer (a Trek bike in a fixed position) for cross training. Interaction with GuestsI will be staying 5 min away, in Fairlight, and am able to let you in, and show you how things work. I am only a phone call away. During some periods January I will be travelling, but have mobile phone access. The NeighborhoodA safe, friendly, neighbourhood, with shopping, coffee, a wine bar and Stockland shopping mall only a few blocks away. A 20 min walk, or 5 min drive to Manly beach. Getting AroundAn express bus to the city is 50 m away, or you can catch the iconic Manly Ferry to Circular Quay, as we are located close to the Spit to Manly walk. Minutes walk to several bus stops that go to the city, Chatswood, Manly or Palm beach. The area is serviced by the free community hop skip and jump shuttle bus to Balgowlah and Manly. There are many coffee shops and a large shopping centre within walking distance, so you can walk to get almost everything you need. Ecohouse features The house has a rain-water tank, uses green electricity, and uses gas hot water and heating to heat the house. Some of the furniture is made from reclaimed furniture, including the mirror in the dining room, made from red cedar and from a vintage mirror inherited from my grandmother. The coffee table in the lounge room is made from reclaimed timber posts, purchased from Wildwood. The bookshelf in the lounge was specifically made from reclaimed timer, also from Wildwood. One desk is a vintage antique. The rainwater tank feeds the downstairs toilet and laundry. In accordance with local regulations, the water is filtered to remove leaves, and pumped from the rainwater tank in the garage into the downstairs toilet and washing machine. The tap outside is used for gardening, but is not suitable for drinking. We are happy to have native plants in our small front yard, which are sustainable and attract native birds such as Rainbow Lorikeets. If you are lucky you might see Galahs, or Cockatoos, which sometimes visit. Guest AccessGuests using this room will have sole use of the spacious and modern main bathroom, with a bath, shower and toilet. Guests with children are also able to book the third bedroom, which comes complete with a bunk bed. Kids bikes, helmets, books and toys are available. A short walk from Brighton st gets you to Bacino coffee – where one of the owners is a runner and doesn’t mind if you drop in with dripping sweat and drink their free water while waiting for a coffee. (URL HIDDEN) In Manly itself, Barefoot is a tiny hole-in-the-wall place that makes divine Belgian waffles drizzled with chocolate. There are 2 other microbreweries in Manly, but we would start with $ Pines as it has a laid back feel, isn’t too full of ‘beautiful people’. Manly Wharf bar has great views but is more the 20-something crowd, whereas 4 Pines is for a more mature crowd, with awesome food as well. (URL HIDDEN) Spit to Manly walk The Spit to Manly walk is one of the lovely hiking trails, walking past beaches, harbor side parks, and has great views for the entire hike. The path takes you through Sydney Harbour National Park. (URL HIDDEN) Getting AroundThere is an express bus straight to the city, at a bus stop about 100 m up the road. You can travel to the city via this bus from early morning till late at night. Also the Manly ferry, a great tourist attraction for seeing Sydney Harbour, is a 7 min drive, or bus, or 3 km walk along the Scenic Spit to Manly walkway. Spit to Manly walk The Spit to Manly walk is one of the lovely hiking trails, walking past beaches, harbor side parks, and has great views for the entire hike. The path takes you through Sydney Harbour National Park. (URL HIDDEN) Beach Surfing lessons, surf board or body board and roller board hire are all available at Manly beach. Some things are for hire on the actual beach top, and some shops are available across the road from the beach. Shelley beach (on the south end) to Queenscliff (at the north end) is a 5 km point to point, so if you’d like a training run or hike, this makes a great beach-side flat path. There are plenty of great coffee places like Ashes Table to get a coffee afterwards. Other Things to NoteRooms Double room booking If you have booked the double room, you will have access to the large, main bathroom, as well as the kitchen, lounge, washing machine etc. There is a room with bunk beds for kids or singles. There is also a comfortable sofa bed downstairs in the lounge for 2 more guests.

There are many options for delicious take-home gourmet meals if you don't feel inclined to cook. Getting AroundParking space on property, or street parking freely available. Bus stop to Manly, for beaches, restaurants and ferry to city is just opposite the road. The express bus takes less than 5 minutes to Manly Wharf. Buses going to the city are also only 8 minutes walk away, running every 30 to 40 minutes. There are GoGet rental cars available, which are parked nearby within walking distance for pickup/dropoff.
