Your profile is like a résumé or curriculum vitae for others in the Airbnb community. Visiting someone's profile is a great way to learn more about them ahead of a booking, FOR EXAMPLE: Professional (job, title, education, experience), and personal information such as approx. age, and personal preferences with regard to travel.
Airbnb is a community marketplace built on trust and safety, so we require all hosts to have a profile photo, and we require all guests to upload a profile photo before making their first reservation. Guests and hosts prefer to book reservations with people who have legitimate profile photos, complete profiles, and multiple verification's.
When your profile is robust, it helps others feel that you're reliable, authentic, and committed to the spirit of Airbnb. Whether you're a host or a guest, the more complete your profile, the more reservations you're likely to book, too.
A great profile includes:

Multiple verifications and a Verified ID
A description of at least 50 words highlighting why you decided to join the Airbnb community, your interests or hobbies, or anything else you think someone would want to know. House is located in safe industrial neighborhood and we include two Monterey Bay Aquarium Passes!
This is located in a safe INDUSTRIAL/residential area in Monterey. It's eclectic. Our property is clean, well kept, charming and private. The Cottage is cozy, approx. 800sq. feet inside. In front there is a front porch bordered with a grape vine covered arbor. We have outdoor furniture and a barbecue surrounded by a nice garden which is great for bird watching, sipping wine or tea, reading or barbecuing. Our neighborhood is INDUSTRIAL mixture of Industrial and homes/apartments. Right off highway One and conveniently close to all the Monterey Peninsula has to offer. Within walking distance to the prestigious Naval Postgraduate School and to Del Monte Beach.
The Cottage is non smoking house. There are two bedrooms on the garden side, and a new remodeled room on the Zen Garden side of the house that features a nice queen bed, that is comfy and private. All bedrooms have comfortable beds & fresh, clean quality linens with flat screen televisions. and in one room is a ROKU on the t.v. where you can log onto your Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts .
The cozy living room features hard wood floors, gas fire place, and we have a blue tooth, speaker/karaoke player that can pair or hook up to your devices. There is also an ihome in the zen garden for music (blue tooth/or manual hookup).
There is an indoor and out door shower.
The SMALL but beautiful bathroom (tub and shower with all amenities) was recently remodeled in slate with a nice new tub. There is a large dressing mirror with amenities in the adjacent room as well. BEDS: 2 comfortable new beds (a full and a queen) with one new over sized day bed (twin) in another room. Sleeps five.
Full kitchen stocked with just about everything you need to prep a meal & cook. Propane BBQ on deck. There is coffee & espresso maker, (coffee, tea & sugar/sweeteners, many spices & olive oil, coffee, with some condiments available). There's a toaster, coffee/espresso maker, Fiesta ware plates, most everything you need to cook with, a blender and large microwave.
Washer, Dryer, Iron and we provide beach towels, blanket, yoga mat. There is a Roku -with Angry Birds and other games, speaker/karaoke system to pair with your devices.
Zen Spa is private. There is a fountain, fire pit, candles, incense, outdoor refrigerator (we leave you water and some beverages), in ground Japanese soaking tub. It can range in temperature from 105-107 degrees. It's hot! There is a private out door shower (warm or cold water) and fluffy white towels. It is a nice place to lay in the sun weather permitting.
AQUARIUM PASSES - there are two passes for our guests to use while staying with us. With these passes you use of the member's entrance, discounts in the store, early admission on many select summer days and the opportunity to attend special member's only events like Jazz by the Bay at night with wine and food served (no-host).
We can accommodate special requests for an additional charge: massages (from trained massage therapists), private yoga sessions, & hikes.
Pets are welcome per HOST'S APPROVAL, and deposit. They should not be left alone and the guest has to pick up after them.
We are very well located on the Peninsula: By car its:
2 minutes from the Airport.
about 8 minutes to Laguna Seca/Mazda Raceway.
8 minutes to Pebble Beach & Carmel (all depending on traffic, of course).
Walking distance to beach, Monterey Recreation trail, Fairgrounds, Monterey Fish House (same block), and the beach! Again, this IS an industrial neighborhood for the most part. People have asked if there's noise. It's quieter than staying at a high rise in San Francisco!
Cabs are easy to come by most times of year. Bike trail one and 1/2 blocks away (Bikes can be rented locally).
The bike trail will take you to all the most scenic areas on foot or bike, i.e. Cannery Row, Aquarium, Pacific Grove, downtown Monterey. You'll want to drive to Big Sur, probably even Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach and Carmel. Again, these are all minutes away.
Cottage, Zen Spa area (as described above) reserved for our guests only, outdoor shower, 2 designated parking spots.
We are readily available and responsive but allow maximum privacy and are available as needed. David and I know the entire Monterey Peninsula and Big Sur well and are happy to assist guests as a concierge would and posses a wealth of knowledge and tips if guests have questions about the area.
We usually leave you alone! Monday through Friday, David works right next door and is easily accessible. I will greet guests upon arrival or provide a lock box code for self-check in.
I wrote an honest and transparent description of our place so please read the property description well because both hosts and guests alike depend on good reviews. Guest AccessOur guests have a well stocked kitchen (blender, espresso maker, coffee, toaster, stove, oven, BBQ, etc...), fireplace inside, outdoor and indoor shower, nice bath tub in bathroom, a lovely garden with birds butterflies, flowers, grapevine arbor and roses during the blooming season. Nice deck in front to relax with a book or glass of wine and BB!Q. There's a fenced yard and driveway. Interaction with GuestsWe leave you alone but are around to lend advice about what to do around the Monterey County and are readily available to address your questions. The NeighborhoodIt's definitely a working neighborhood but close (walking distance) from the beach, and a block away from an absolutely fantastic restaurant! Getting AroundBus stops are close by and run on the hour. A taxi drive to most of our neighboring cities/attractions will cost $10.00 or less. Other Things to NoteWe are transparent in our property description. Guests seem to have a great time while staying here as evidenced by our repeat bookings! Please understand that we are located in an industrial area. We strive to keep our five star rating and hope we don't get a mediocre rating on location because we're letting you know! Massages and Hiking!

David and I are happy to refer two amazing massage therapists who can provide a variety of massage treatments using essential oils. You can have single or couples massage and they do it at the cottage or in Zen Garden. Couples massage, romance package couples massage , "Mini" massages, 15-30 minutes each, with a minimum of 3 persons (for woman’s escapes or retreats). In addition they offer private, personalized Yoga, fitness sessions as well as Yoga/massage combos, and 1/2 day yoga/hike excursions that connect you with some of the natural landscape & beauty of our area. Jody is also available to prepare and deliver amazing vegetarian organic meals. Read our reviews on Airbnb to see how wonderful they are. Hiking – Ventana Wildnerness Hikes – A friend of ours, Stephen Copeland's family donated thousands of acres to the Big Sur Land Trust and he is the only licensed independent hike guide in the Big Sur area. He works with Ventana Lodge and Highland's Inn on the Big Sur Coast in conducting private or group hikes (recently we led a big (website hidden) group on a retreat staying at the Ventana Lodge). Stephen has allowed us to give his phone number to our guests should you want to book one of his magical hikes. Upon request, Stephen or one of his hike guides can arrange a private or group hike to places that most people are not allowed to venture to or even know about!

What's included with your stay: Pebble Beach is a fun drive – 17 mile drive takes you around all the splendors of the Pebble Beach coastline and Forest. You may use our Resident Pass, just follow the rules as outlined in the house manual.
There will be two Monterey Bay Aqarium Passes for you to use while you are our guests. This will allow entrance through the members gate as well as discounts in the gift store.
